The harness is definitely a must for a vizsla!

Things to know as a person who had watched and studied professional dog trainers:
    1. Dog parks are dangerous, you have no clue what another stranger dogs temperament is like.
    2. I would highly recommend more mental stimulation like training and dog puzzles.
    3. I would also highly recommend playing games with your dog like fetch or hide and seek.
    Hope this helps :)

Great video bro. Just discovered these beautiful dogs. What’s been the hardest aspect of her or her breed in your opinion. Also, I know each dog varies but what kind of expectation might you generalize for others regarding how attentive she is as an alert based guard dog. Thanks!

Thanks! So definitely her energy and need of attention. If I could sum her up in one sentence that would be it. She loves company either a person/other dog so definitely can't be alone for long apart from nighttime. Energy wise walking doesnt work she needs at least one if not two good off lead runs a day. As an alert guard dog yes she is super alert and barks when there is someone outside so is good at that too but not aggressive. I have met a good few of other vizslas and they generally seem to be really great friendly dogs 👍

My family has been volunteering for a Vizla rescue and we foster and sometimes adopt them and I’m sure you already know the basics that there crazy and all and very clingy and that there quite intelligent but this intelligence can get themselves into trouble if they’re not getting enough stimulation another thing not all vizlas look the same as with any dog but for vizlas it seems to vary alot and since we are apart of a rescue this is especially so but I do agree this man has a very beautiful vizla

I have a Visla that I rescued 2 years ago. She is amazing! However, Vislas are a lot of work. My Visla, Patty gets 2 30 minute walks a day and usually goes to the park aswell. I am very busy though and so we also have a runner who takes her on mile long runs. She never tires out even after a 15 mile hike. A tired dog is a happy dog so as long as you really work with them they turn out to be great pets.

The first few months with a Vizsla puppy are soooooo much work (but worth it)!

I used to have a viszla and she insisted on sleeping in the crate. Any time we forgot to put her in it at night and let her sleep on the couch she would be so stressed the next day
