I've watched and read some incredible tributes, but Boris said it best with 'She seemed so timeless and so wonderful that I am afraid we had come to believe, like children, that she would just go on and on.' That really hit home

The statement not long after the Queen passed from Boris was I thought very touching but again this tribute was absolutely wonderful. Irrespective of our views on individuals and their policies credit where credit is due, this was a magnificent speech.

Boris has always been a romantic and classist in his thinking of how life and politics plays out - I would not be surprised that he could write a speech like this at a drop of a hat. Despite his appearance and his ways as a prime minister and Brexit - he was an Oxford graduate.

I've seen a lot of cynical comments around this speech, but regardless of the who, how and why, the words that Johnson delivered were spot-on perfect.
