1st time Joe's missing the whole point of the ride. It's about camaraderie, taking in the experience with others and stopping to try different foods/drinks & entertainment which is pretty hard to do when venders aren't open and you're on the road at 3:30 AM ahead of everyone else...

I would normally agree with your sentiment, but the sweltering temperatures probably made the early departure a sensible decision.

@@brianpmack Riiight... Kinda like when the Griswolds parked in the back of the lot at Wally World so they could be the 1st ones out of there at closing! Riiight... 🤔
