I listened to Norah Jones a lot in the 2000’s. Then life went on and I kinda of lost in touch with her music. Because of the pandemic and lockdown, I’ve watched TH-cam more often lately and it made me to reconnect with her music. I realized I still love her songs so much. How unique and talented she is! Norah your music and voice is precious and effortless!!
She has just the right amount of sentimental sweetness in her voice that is humble and tender and all things gentle to embody the lyrics. Both beautifully and painfully. I love it.
This is my mom's favorite song, but it makes her so sad to hear it, so won't share this one with her, I'm in quarantine with her, she's 86 yrs old, with dementia and fighting cancer during the pandemic. Thanks for this gift.
Three years later, I want to thank you, Nora, longtime fan, since I 1st heard you in 2002. Loved The Little Willies, play your albums all the time. You were my daily antidote during 2020, so grateful for you, playing for all of us.❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
My deceased Mom loved this song. I can fondly remember her singing it. She lived through WW II and said this always brought her back to that time period. RIP Mom! Thank you Nora!
Never thought I would cry over a real life robot. We'll be seeing you Opportunity. Rest in peace for all you achieved. And, of course, you are an amazingly talented musician Nora. Thanks for sharing your talents with the world.
Where all else fails me, and life is just that way, music is always with me, my constant companion, and Norah (!), your music is always welcome and imbibed! Thank you for sharing your beautiful gift with the world!
I'd be honored if some Norah Jones fans who appreciate 80s/90s classics would take a quick listen to my acoustic piano & vocal performances of PURPLE RAIN by Prince and PRAYING FOR TIME by George Michael on my YT channel in tribute to 2 of the greatest vocalist-songwriters in music history. Live acoustic with no autotune or digital enhancements. Peace and everybody stay safe.
You bring tears to my eyes listening to this song ,thank you for the memories ,of a love I once knew and the times i once had,now five years forward I'm solo living in the home I grew up in and will be my third year solo for the Holidays
We have a huge privilege to listen to you playing and singing in your own home, as your friends can, so thank you, Nora, to the moon and back for such a wonderful pleasure!!! 1000 greetings from far away Belgrade, Serbia!!!
My grandfather recently passed away, and this is the song and version I used in my video tribute to him (I hope you don't mind). This is such a poignant and nostalgic song - and most fitting during this pandemic when people can't say hello, or goodbye, to loved ones. What's more painful to us is just watching online (thru livestreaming) my grandfather's funeral. It feels so different from going there personally - it feels like there's no closure. Hoping this pandemic will end soon. Thank you, Norah for a beautiful rendition of this song.
I have you on my TH-cam alert when your on so many views feels like a people forget to thank you EVEN I have.I never miss a video .So thank you Nora for brightening my day. Your just exceptional and fabulous...
I heard Norah Jones back in 2004. Back then, I wasn't that good in English and still today not that good lol but anyways, Her voice touched my soul, and from that day, I started listening to Norah. I started learning English more by translating all the words and my favorite song was Don't know why and even today still is. I translated this song in my language and I was wow what a beautiful lyrics 🙂 And my favorite lyric was I waited till I saw the sun... why? Because I was born and grew up in a small tiny island. Yapen Island West Papua. Back home, I love to watch the sunrise and the sunset. Now that I live in the State, I have my 2 little daughters, life is way different but Norah Jones is still the same in my heart and my 2 little daughters love her songs too.. 🙏🙏🙏
Thank you, Nora. My Mom is passing & Dad left us for Heaven 7 years ago. You song connects me to their wonderful souls. Fond memories of my Mom & Dad. Peggy & Ralph. Thank you so much, Sandra
Love the format - which reveals you, as-is, in your sanctuary of music- making. No pretense. No rarefied accoutrements. A mauve cereal bowl (?) sits, as proof of modest living in COVID-19 times. But all the luxury emanates from the soul of the song. Like a creative impulse to reach out and share. One cannot wait for the packaging. It’s like when my mom cooks something and it turns out extraordinarily good, she has this impulse to share it with neighbors.
Sitting in your living room listening to you sing as if I was there is a special treat. I have a new appreciation for your music. I just recently went back and downloaded the Wax Poetic series of albums that you were a part of in the 80's. I loved that trip hop music. "Angel" is my favorite of course with that Haitian Creole spoken throughout the song. That song stands up even today 40 years later! Thank you Nora!
Merci pour ce cadeau Mme Norah Jones ;-) I adore, I adore, I adore ... I play and repeat this song that makes my heart happy ... this song makes you happy, this song makes you want to believe that nothing stops, this song is the love that continues no matter what, the love that triumphs, the love that wins that we breathe that we see, this song is the essence of life. our raison d'être? Thank you for this gift Mrs. Norah Jones
Hello again. Your sessions got me through a lonely lonely time. All that said, of all the concerts from home, this song may have been my favorite. Thanks again beautiful Norah. Your song is on my heart.
It's 4:45 am October 22, '22. Your songs from the COVID shutdown are still here. Still as good. Still reaching hearts. Thanks seems inadequate. I'll be looking at the moon, but I'll be seeing you.
I'm here my love, I'm here! Don't allow me to continue watching you like this! You know what's inside my heart! Norah, I'm here, and I know who I am now!
Tank you very much Norah so beautiful words kindness lovely song en beautiful voice tank you very much pour le partage music is poems to sweet merci de nous accompagner et merci beaucoup à vous 🌼🌺🌸🌿🕊
Still in love 😍 with Nora since I heard the words......🎼🎵🎶" Come away with me tonight...". Always a star. Her unique tone and styling are smooth as butter. On my craziest days, she remains my comfort music. Love💖her!
Hello Norah, I love your simplicity. His voice is impressive. I was at his last show in Brazil and I was delighted that his voice is even better live than on recordings. Take care.
Oh mine goodness! Full disclosure... Being a Texas boy and a lover of the old standards, I thought it was pretty cool to have a talented jazzy lady come out of the area. BUT... I was never the Norah Jones superfan. Not sure why. Sorry... My own personal flaw, perhaps? I was looking up "I'll be seeing you", and this popped up. "Yeah. OK. I'll give it a shot", I thought. This silly little, barely thrown together thing has become my second favorite rendition of the song (Well, I wasn't going to do you THAT big a favor. Mel Torme is a thing, after all! 😉). So glad to have heard this. Thanks, kid!

My late husband loved you Norah Jones. Many a Sunday morning he played your music. I miss him so much sometimes I can’t breathe.

Delightful version of a great old standard.
21 years ago today I graduated from high school and the school choir sang this song.
Must be nice to be so young.😀
As they should
How sweet ❤️
My deceased Mom loved this song. I can fondly remember her singing it. She lived through WW II and said this always brought her back to that time period. RIP Mom! Thank you Nora!
There are two things: the song and you, who are beautiful desde españa

Her music melts my heart. I remember my youth and the feelings
Always remember Jools Holland saying she was the best singer he had on the show, she’s so clear , crisp and makes it look so effortless

This was the first song Norah ever played live, at her first ever concert!!!! Grinders coffeehouse, 1995 ;)
Beautiful, Norah. Thank you.
It’s one thing to sing, it’s another thing to play the piano and sing great job. Thank you very very much. Enjoyed it.
