@@AndreaMengucci the ponza player had an arbor elf and a single forest with an accelerant on it, and no other lands in hand. The rakdos player enchanted the forest with a contaminated ground, bricking both the accelerant and the elf and winning soon after
I built a version of this and some other Pauper builds on timeless. Extra restriction is I only use cards that are common on Arena. I get awesome games too!
I've been playing this a lot and can't decide whether I like Rakdos Carnarium. Always feels really bad to play early, especially if you bounce a tap land and then only have a tap land next turn. I've kept it in because I feel like the best use case is being able to have a similar amount of mana on board but having an extra land in hand to discard to loot effects if you run out of cards. Curious what your assessment of this card is, thanks
how have you been feeling about the snackers? I've also been playing madness a lot and went back to the tomb raiders. So often I'd have the snackers in hand and feel forced to pitch them instead of a madness card since they're uncastable. the early damage from the tomb raiders definitely felt better.
@@ryandavis9379 they almost always felt really good. I did have games where they were stuck in my hand or dead draws, usually if people kept countering my discard spells, but in retrospect I should have boarded them out for something else. I've been putting refurbished familiars in the board in case this happens, and debating sarpadian simulacrums. Goblin tomb guy seems pretty good tho.
@@ryandavis9379 for what it's worth I've never played with goblin tomb raiders and I've only played the deck with snackers or refurbished familiars in its place sometimes
What could you swap the trespasser's curse with? Contaminated grounds probably with cleansing wildfire? Asking because I don't have those, but I wanna test it
@@AndreaMengucci ok but in madness isn’t worth to discard? Technically you use 1, draw 2, discard 1 and play 1 if you use madness. I’m a new player so I’m trying to understand
@kiddas178 playing faithless looting from hand puts you down a card in hand because you play faithless and then discard two cards. If you flash it back your playing it from the graveyard so you only have to discard two.cards.
@@joshuagoodwin0014 ok but technically if I don't cast it from the hand I'm playing with one faithless looting activation less, since i discard it and I can cast it only with flashback. I'm aware it's better to discard it instead of other cards that don't have madness (apart sneaky snacker), but if you have cards with madness isn't better to discard and play them instead of faithless looting? I'm seriously a noob, I'm trying to understand, it isn't meant to be in opposition to your explanation
I played this deck on MTGO and it felt so bad, the burn plan is too slow and the card advantage is too weak I have no idea how it won a major tournament
it's always funny for me how Mengu speaks english for half an hour and then it hits you out of nowhere with a "madonna mia mi hai demolito diocaro"
A new Pauper VEEEEEEEDEO, grande Mengu!
Thanks for the Veedeo! This deck is really strong. It feels like every card is a cantrip with all of the blood token madness effects.
Big fan of seeing you play burn and burn adjacent decks
Lovee this deck
I did 7x2 on the showcase with this deck Saturday
❤
That feel when mengu didn't watch the final game of paupergeddon.

Wasnt it possible to bolt the Chris when the sacrifice +1/+1 counter were on the stack right at 10:07? =)

I see people on refurbished familiar - what’s the upside on running those vs more cantrips etc?
Have you considered hell mongrell?
contaminated ground looks like trash, why is it included?
Well not sure you saw the whole video but it basically gave him the only win in the 5 matches.
Why faithless looting casted from hand is card disadvantage?
