Why do the walls still do the "center squares" when the walls are two layers thick. It has always looked so awful and I've always tried to build my prisons around avoiding this causing slight limitations in the designs I come up with. The center squares don't seem to serve any real purpose so why have this carry over?
In the beginning I was worried about it becoming too cartoonish. The first trailer looked like that. This looks slightly better. I also like how the pipes now copy the cables in delivery. And I am suddenly imagining big rooms with walkways above for officers to patrol, like in a canteen.
While I don't hate the 3d aesthetics as much as other people, and building up ads more functionality, I actually have different issue with it. It just seems so much harder to track everything, it is visually busy. The 2d top down view might have came out of "programmer art" thing, but it was perfect for the game. It was so easy to oversee everything, keep track of things and plan ahead. The top down view at 8min mark seems to be okay though.
Looking nice but will we see all the Electrical features from the original game in this new one? e.g. will we see things like switches & relays? I only saw fuse boxes in the video shown...
Please put option in settings for fast/instand build so we can build prison faster without workers and then once we start play new prison we can enable/disable instand build.
My only real concern with this successor is the realism, I don't have a problem with the cartoon look, the building tools look great, I always wanted multiple stories, I don't mind a switch to 3D even, as long as the adult themes are still there, gangs, drugs, violence, blood, deathrow etc. Supermax was fun too. Locking the extra dangerous prisoners behind armed guards and separate walls. After you built a prison it was always fun to try and keep things from becoming too chaotic, if those things are preserved, then this is on the way to being a very good successor to PA1.
Looking at this, this sequel is exactly what a sequel should be.. a refined version of the original with significant enhancements. They SEEM, from this at least, to have nailed it.. unlike another game Paradox have.. ermmm.. ruined. So, let's hope that this isn't just another Paradox smoke-n-mirrors marketing attempt. But this vid looks wicked.. as does the game too.
Can someone PLEASE explain to me how prisoners dig and crawl IN pipes without drowning? That never made sense to me in the original. Wouldn't water go everywhere as soon as they pierce the pipe? The whole tunnel should be flooded.
What about connecting one Generator to the other generator? will it still Shutdown both generators like in prison architect 1 or will it act as a power upgrade?
Don't let these hype vids fool you. We're talking Paradox Interactive, the same publishers responsible for Cities Skylines 2. Like CS2, they are gearing up to build the hype all over this game with free game copies given to influent content creators. These copies more often than not, betray Paradox' official releases. Do NOT PREORDER, do not be blindly robbed and compliant based on what they want you to see. Be critical and buy only when there is substancial proof of a finished release build is closed. @@LightsAcapella the current developers bought the original game from the first developers (Introversion Software). They have the rights to it but the idea came from a different developer. Your right on all the other points though
@@LightsAcapella Its not even close to being the same devs. Prison architect 1 was a passion project and one of the best games ever made. This aint the same.
@@andreasaa2000 Not like it matters in the context of this discussion, but both games are technically being developed by Double Eleven. Even if it was a completely different studio (which it kinda is) it would still be just as much a true sequel.
Getting excited for this!
This looks like the good way of making a sequel, can't wait to try it out for myself
I'm so excited, well done to the guys at Paradox.
Why do the walls still do the "center squares" when the walls are two layers thick. It has always looked so awful and I've always tried to build my prisons around avoiding this causing slight limitations in the designs I come up with. The center squares don't seem to serve any real purpose so why have this carry over?
BUT....can we change the colors of wallpapers inside the prison?
I've already pre-ordered!
There is a lot of clipping between the prisoners in crowded areas which really bugs me. If that is fixed I will be very happy.
I hope this gets released one day.
I definitely hope they also have escape mode like the first game.
Thats so awesome! Never heard about this game until now, i guess it will be too complicated for me, but its still pretty awesome!
Looking nice but will we see all the Electrical features from the original game in this new one? e.g. will we see things like switches & relays? I only saw fuse boxes in the video shown...
A fuse box works like a switch so it’s essentially a replacement, it was said in the video
Looking pretty good! I hope development towards release continues to do well!
The animation with the ladders was a nice touch.
Please put option in settings for fast/instand build so we can build prison faster without workers and then once we start play new prison we can enable/disable instand build.
Keep an eye out for news on mutators 👀
The fact we can do more than one floors is great.
Im really excited for this game.. and gonna play it right on release.
Good stuff - I definitely enjoyed the original PA but this has some nice upgrades and good quality of life changes. Excited!
Spiritual successor? My man its the straight up successor
Very good point. ;)
I like how they look like more detailed madness combat grunts
Looking forward to playing this. Looks like genuine improvements on the original game 👍
Any news when this is coming out?
Will this game have any new features, new rooms, etc or is it the same game but in 3D? No feature removed right?
Interesting 👍Any update on the securitycameras, regarding to connecting them and also the line of sight plus making them able to not move ?
Looking at this, this sequel is exactly what a sequel should be.. a refined version of the original with significant enhancements. They SEEM, from this at least, to have nailed it.. unlike another game Paradox have.. ermmm.. ruined. So, let's hope that this isn't just another Paradox smoke-n-mirrors marketing attempt. But this vid looks wicked.. as does the game too.
I really hope the fps is not bad ingame :o
My concern too! Imagine having like 200 prisoners with all the staff too.
@@henryjohnson-ville3834 yeah true! Same like City skyline u could already see in the first Videos the "low" fps
Can someone PLEASE explain to me how prisoners dig and crawl IN pipes without drowning? That never made sense to me in the original. Wouldn't water go everywhere as soon as they pierce the pipe? The whole tunnel should be flooded.
Looks amazing - i loved prison architect and this is a must have purchase for me 🙂
Yall should give Let's Game It Out a free copy, you know, for research purposes
bro i can't wait to play this game
Very excited for this game!
The gaming community thanks you for this.
