EAA/Girsan has been coming out with some interesting guns lately. And the price of .380 ammo is getting much more affordable.
Yep, paid around $14/50 rounds the other day. We carry pocket 380's everywhere
Yes sir Rider. I like your review today
The original BDA was not only based on the original Cheetah, it was manufactured by Beretta for Browning. So yes, it's similar.
I thought the same thing
Thanks Hammer
I have owned both for years, and the mags are the same. The slides will fit, but I never had the guts to shoot it.
Beretta manufactured the BDA for browning. The Beretta 84 and the BDA is basically the same gun.
Thanks for the info. I would love to do a comparison
@@TheFirearmGuy Girsan has another .380 with a tip up barrel like the Beretta Tomcat. Love your videos.
I carried .380 for years and loved the weight of the pistol for pocket carry. Summer of love motivated me to change though. Thanks Dan.
Much appreciated Gregg
this pistol looks a lot nicer than other stuff out there for the price
Completely agree
I believe that Girsan also has a copy of the original Beretta 84. I would love to see a review on that. You're the only one on TH-cam who have reviews these. Thanks.
Thanks, Dan. I have a different EAA Girsan and they're very nicely done.
my buddy and I just got ours. WOW! Ragged hole groups at 10 yards target shooting with ball ammo. VERY VERY happy! Yes, your review pushed us over the decision making to get one. Right now 100 rounds, hoping, expecting the trigger to improve, although it is fine now!
Excellent. Thank you, Dan.
Much appreciated Bob
Good video . I’ll be adding one of these to my collection
Very cool man
Nice gun Dan and an excellent review 😊
Much appreciated Buncha
Sweet, it looks nice and budget friendly. I just completed the set of LCP's with the Max. Thanks Dan!
Very cool Robbie. Thanks for stopping by
Great video and nice gun.. .380? That’s a beautiful gun!
This .380 just became on the radar it’s either this or the ruger security 380. I do like the look of the security but, love the weight on this
Another great video Dan. Greetings from Spain.
Much appreciated bud
Same type of disassembly method as the Beretta 92. Looks like a fun going to bed it doesn’t have an Optic CUT
Thats what i was thinking tbh an optic cut and pic rail would make this the perfect budget mid sized 380
Dan, I bought a Beretta at a police auction back in the late 80s a .380acp. Went to the range and a female LE wanted to trade even for her brand new in the box Browning BDA model 84 .380. You bet I did.. that became my EDC while doing PI work the 13 rounds in 3 extra mags was perfect for me. I may have to find one of these. Great video Dan.
Stay safe
Girsan makes this along with an open top version similar to a Beretta 84. Tisas makes the Fatih, also a Beretta 84 copy. I wish Tisas and Girsan would make these with the hammer drop safety that some versions of the Beretta 84 had.
I love the look of this pistol. But the MC14 G84 looks tempting as well. Great short and to the point vid bro!
what is the big differences in g84 and bda?
@@khmergodhobbies The g84 has the open top slide and I'm liking that look to be honest.
@@petergarcia8615 Thanks, I must have missed it. I was confused trying to figure it out.
Looks good, I just always think its a little weird when a DA/SA gun does not have a decocker though.
I hear ya
Looks like a cool pistol at a good price! Nice little review.
Much appreciated bud
Dan we both agree Girsan is making some very good weapons today! Thank you my friend!
Yes sir Buz - thanks bud
Nice shooting, Dan. Cool pistol. 👍👏😎
Thanks Peter
Would have got it if it had a decocker….Still an awesome gun. Glad to see some more higher capacity 380’s.
Very attractive unit. I’d call it perfect if it had a decocker. As is, I’m interested in it. Price is good. Seems accurate. Would like to hear more about its reliability. Agree about a second mag. But cheap enough.
thanks dan great little pistol
Thanks Les
Welcome back, Browning. Especially with the round trigger guard. And the BDA WAS built by Beretta for Browning with a closed slide and slide mounted levers. The other BDA was a SIG Sauer P220. Browning borrowed a bit in the 1970s.
👍👍Thanks Dan it looks like a good shooting pistol.
Yes sir Lance. Thanks for checking it out
Cool! Thanks
Another great looking gun....🎉
Hi Dan,
Very nice firearm for sure. I like it a lot. I am looking into a (380) and this firearm is in the running. Thanks again
Thanks Dan. No decocker is a no for me.
Thanks for the feedback
Very nice , definitely an option with a great value ✨️👌💯
Thanks AMTtruckin
Nice review Dan
Much appreciated Jet
After seeing your video or two on this pistol and comparing the MC14BDA to the Tisas Fatih 380, they are the exact same pistol best I can tell. I own the Fatih 380 and it is as nice shooting as my Beretta 84 it was patterned after.
Thanks !
You bet!
Nice review!
I’m noticing that when describing the trigger pull weight on DA/SA guns your focus is on the SA pull weight and not the DA. It would be helpful to know why the DA weight as well especially for those of us who will use the DA trigger as the only safety when carrying.
The original Browning BDA pistol was indeed made for Browning by Beretta.
Can you do an update video on the Walther CCP. They're up to the M2+ version. It would give you a lot to talk about in comparing your original version to what Walther now offers.
The M2+ seems to offer the same as the M2
Nice lookin pistol
Dan I believe the Mec-gar mags for the Beretta 84/Browning bda will interchange.
I think you are right. Thanks red9man
Not too shabby I like it
Much appreciated bro
very interesting. I was thinking of getting the Ruger security 380, but I like this
If you can find it😮
My local Rural King has them at a real good price.@@rugeral7157
I have it and just got done cleaning it. Very nice.
I'm impressed with it
Nice looking pistol.
Thanks brother
Thank you for your feedback. Have you experienced any malfunctions since the video? I was interested in this weapon but several testers had recurring problems, which made me rule out this option.
This was my first shot experience. It ran flawless
The style of this gun reminds me of cz82.
Correct, me too
Next TH-camr of the 2024!!! 🔥 Content!
Thanks man
Looks pretty sweet. I like it.
Thanks Chris
Definitely see this competing with the cheetah. thanks for showing it off, looks like a good score!
Thanks 57
Pretty cool
Thanks Cam
It would be great if they brought out a 3" barrel version...that would make it a great pocket gun.
Nice looking firearm. 🙂👍
Thanks Dragon
That is a super nice looking gun. Does it have a decocker? The killer is the one mag and the mags might be very hard to get a hold of? Other than that, it is one of the nicer looking offerings in a while.
Much appreciated Curly
I really like DA/SA guns, even though you will almost always find a Glock on me. But for only a couple dollars more per box I can shoot 45acp in my neck of woods. This is what keeps me from buying a gun chambered in 380acp
Good feedback Wayne
Looks like decent adjustable/replaceable sights. Wonder if it takes Beretta 84 mags?
I would guess so
I've got a Tisas Fatih that shoots just as good as an old Beretta cheetah I own, Turkish guns are solid.
Very cool Jason
Yo Danno, nice looking gun for the money
Super impressive Murat
uncaptured recoil springs always cause me trouble and frustration.
Where can I find this one? Impactguns, kygunco, grabagun, are my go to online to purchase, they don't have one yet, where can we buy it Dan?
Just checked several places. All day out of stock
Nice, don’t care much for the mag base. 380 ammo price is not so bad right now.
Does this BDA version have an extractor?
I still think i can ask for an additional magazine these days regardless of price. Feel like magazines are overpriced too anyways. 😊
No doubt Mike
Browning BDA was made as a competitor to the 80 series. Browning was made under contract... by Beretta.
Thanks for the info Paul
Nice, I like it ...
Thanks Rich
Nice looking pistol. Nice ammo capacity. Good for EDC, or night stand Home Defense weapon. I wonder what the spare mags will run, or there capatible ones already available?
Good question, not sure. I imagine Browning BDA mags are compatible
Beretta 84 mags work
@@nixkobold sounds good
The Browning BDA was made by Beretta and was a modified version of the Beretta 84. It was a good gun, but really offered nothing over the Beretta. The "enclosed" slide of the Browning v. the Beretta's open slide was not an improvement.
IMO the earlier Browning Model 1955 (FN1910) was a better .380, but I could be biased since I own one. The Model 1955 didn't have a bucketful of cartridges in the handle, and was much slimmer and sleeker overall, which makes it far better for concealed carry. The DA/SA hammer function of the Beretta 84/BDA is better for carry safety, though. Sadly, the Model 1955 (made by FN in Belgium) was banned for import in 1968, in order to make the country safer. 🤦🏼♂
Interesting that this handgun comes out at about the same time that Beretta has re-introduced the Model 84.
Choice is a good thing, and many people prefer these larger, heavier .380s for carry because they are easier to control.
You should be a writer for firearm magazines Gary. Great comment on history of this .380 handgun. Thanks
Beautiful
Thanks, I've been working out
I will check it out 👍👍🇺🇸🇺🇸
Good stuff Dan
People flip their nose up at .380, I dont. At social distance 's, with todays modern ammo, I feel confident enough to bet my life on it, an I do. Saw this coming out 2 yrs ago, about the same time the ruger .380 max came out, an still like it, but have to go with the ruger for the weight, only because its a true pocket gentlemans gun, really like the girsan tho, beautiful gun in my book. Thx for the vid FG
Great review , nice pistol but I'm not .380 fan . There's just so much available in 9mm out there.
That's true Kevin
I found some new Republic brand 380 online for a very reasonable price.
I need to look that up. Thanks James
Can you try putting BDA grips for the browning BDA on this? Maybe 84 grips?
It's worth considering. Not sure about the fit
Most likely the 84 grips because the thumb safety is located on the frame like the 84 but the original BDA the safety was on the slide like Beretta 92.
@@josephesquivel4066 I need to try the 84 grips
If this really is as good as the original BDA it is an absolute steal.
My thoughts too
Any idea where I might buy this? Not available on Gunbroker, Bass Pro, RangeUSA.
It's on Buds site.
rtz has it right
out of stock. I guess everybody watched your video.@@TheFirearmGuy
🔥🔥🔥🔥
Thanks man
They're making some quality firearms in Turkey these days, no doubt
Agreed Stefan
Manual says it weighs 830 grams empty.....that's 29-30 oz.....kinda porky for a carry 380. But it can serve some situatons well being heavy for a 380
29ozs loaded w 14 rds
niceeee
Thanks
BERSA and 1911 had a baby
Yeah, pretty much Vince
Hey, D!
What’s going on, Brother?
Nice looking gun…hey have you noticed LT Governor Mark Robinson lately? He’s kicking some serious butt😂😂😂😂
Yes, Ive been following him - excellent job
380 that big I was expecting a 20rd capacity 😂
Walther PD380 has 9 rds
Girsan should 😊make a wheel gun
That would be great
❤
That chamber indicator lookks like berettas
No decocker? Big mistake.
Several people mentioned that Lutz
CZ 75 D compact 9mm clone. Except in .380.
Shrug.
Hm
Looks super snappy for a .380? Maybe just me
I didn't feel it to be snappy
It might be a straight blowback instead of a locked breech. It's a personal requirement of mine that a gun be locked breech if I'm going to buy it in order to tame the recoil.
Limp wrist test ???
Completely forgot about it
😊😊👍👍
Nice
Thanks Ricardo
Nice looking but no thanks
Amazing how Girsan continues to cheat the consumer by only including a single mag
Ugh they really missed out not having a rail on a gun that size
Thanks for the feedback
Kicks more than 9
You sure?
Try a Hellcat and get back with us.
@@robwilson3749 Which one of my 5 Hellcats would you like me to try?
