If you're wondering why I missed that C3 (forgot to clear it up on text on the video), I had the proper solution that would've netted me an impact as soon as he had began to "zig", but had to wait for the torpedo to sincronize the gyro, light was off, and that took a good while. When it lit on, I adjusted the solution and fired. Problem is, by that time the C3 had completed the "zig", and soon after I fired, he began to "zag", ruining the shot. I should've waited for him to reverse the turn, but in the moment I just didn't think of it.
/edit: Turns out I also fired a 30knot torpedo with a 44knot solution. As I was in a hurry to fire (given the long delay in the gyro setting right), I didn't even stop to check the torpedo speed when firing. I had fired two 44 knotters just before, and forgot that the setting resets each time you flood a tube. Proof that firing in a hurry is never good for your accuracy ;). At any rate, even with the correct speed, I'd probably had missed anyway for the reasons stated above.
Oh well. Live and learn.
I thought it was because you did set the tdc to 44 knots but left the topedo on 30 knots.

@@Schlotzo Oh damn. Missed that one too. yeah, shooting in a hurry is not good for your accuracy ;). I had fired the previous shots at 44knots, it's disconcerting that they reset each time you flood a tube.
Oh well, live and learn. And anyway, had I shot the torpedo with the proper speed, it'd probably had missed anyway for the reasons I stated above :)

working on a tutorial about that, will get the attack disk for Uboat to do it and incorporate it into the tutorial.
Expect it saturday or sunday, we'll see how I can manage, maybe I'll delay it for next week.
In the meantime, this is a 90º attack (roughly, I'm 90º off their general course, of course they're zigzagging all the time, but their general movement course, I'm 90º off it). In other tutorials (I strongly suggest you take a look at those), I already talk about the 90º attack. When you are on a perpendicular course to that of a target, his angle on bow will change linearly with his relative bearing to you. And his angle on bow will be 90º-(relative bearing). Or, in other words, if you're in a 90º attack and an enemy is...
On a bearing of 70º relative to you, he'll be on a 90-70=20º AoB
On a bearing of 30º relative to you, he'll be on a 90-30=60º AoB
On a bearing of 45º relative to you, he'll be on a 90-45=45º AoB
...etc
That's why I strongly favor perpendicular attacks; they just not make range irrelevant (as it eliminates parallax error), but also make Angle on Bow calculations pretty much a no-brainer :).

Most of them for QoL (the map tools are a godsend). SPO2 is a must have to get rid of the ultra-fast sinking ships in vanilla (though those C3s seem to think otherwise, heh), and Breathe Easier gives historically accurate breathable air reserves to the submarine (vanilla air exhaust WAY too fast).
I'm yet to try the Attack disk mod, promised other viewer in other comment section I'd do a tutorial on it's use, so that one will get on the list pretty soon :). I'll check on the Functional RDF antena soon too.
