They killed 3 of the Nkuhuma lionesses? Wow, didn't know that. Is it an environmental factor causing the Styx cubs to fail to thrive? I'm really enjoying these little vignettes, they add to the drives, although I'm sure they add to your workload. Thanks crew.
Hi Jeff, the mange and the cubs dying have nothing to do withy the mothers being in experienced for they are adult lionesses and not providing enough food for the cubs is nonsense and I have heard of grown up lions and other animals dying from mange and talking about mature animals. The problem with the Styx cubs was that the area they live in has an infestation of mange which is a mite and the cubs got it when they were very young and their immune was also not quite as strong as that of a grown lion. And as for three lionesses being killed, I am pretty sure that two lionesses were killed and not three but will check on this.
@@ross_spirou_photography Oh no, I wish someone would spray some of the anti-mite substance on the cubs and lions like what I saw on Dean Schneider's channel although it will not completely rid of them seeing that the infestation is severe. God bless the little Styx cubs... ❤
They are so adorable with mud on their legs and paw. I just wish they had a better chance of survival. It's like as soon as they start putting on some weight they start dying off so disheartening 😔
It's very hard to see the very sick cubbies....did they have mange?just heartbreaking seeing them dying..... can't any wild life vets step in and help them? Also why were the 2 lionesses killed by the males?
