I'm 53 years old now and I used to casually watch this show first run when I was a boy. I recently started watching reruns and got hooked because watching as an adult, I have a whole different perspective. Watching it now is like being in a time machine and going back to a better place in my life. Every episode has familiar faces and names from my childhood. I'm touched by so many of the stories now and I laugh out loud at some of the silliness. And I challenge anyone to find and listen to the episode theme music on youtube and really listen to it... That is a wonderful composition. And the lyrics are a perfect example of lyricism in pure form. The music and lyrics meld together perfectly. This was such a terrific show.
