I make a banana pudding with Banana Keto Chow and scrambled eggs. Been waiting for this recipe to go with. I scramble 12 eggs in a stick of unsalted butter, scramble to JUST done. Then into the vitamix with 12 ounces of Calfia Toasted Coconut almond milk, banana extract to taste, 1 tsp vanilla, liquid spenda to taste, 1 pkg Banana keto chow. Let it blend until smooth.
I love how most of these keto recipe videos start - "very simple recipe with only few ingredients.... what we need is mutated fungus fiber from andromeda galaxy, but not regular - make sure it's the one made from it's tentacle skin only!"
Alicia, you area keto treasure! You are so scientific about combining all these possible keto-friendly ingredients just "so" for optimal results. Luv the explanations of what does what. I might not follow exactly, but at least I'll have a good chance for nice texture, taste, color etc on treats when I mix up ingredients I have on hand.
@@sandycarlos416 they are 1g net carb when you minus fiber and sugar alcohols, most people do 20g-25g net carbs on keto. Erythritol which is a sugar alcohol doesn't impact blood glucose.
Hey Alicia, I truly appreciate how you add details like this Sugar-Free product will do this, that, or the other thing in a recipe, so people who may/maynot have certain ingredients can either go buy what you're using or take an educated/calculated risk to substitute from their pantry knowing they're not getting the exact outcome, but they'll get x, y, z results bc they picked whichever ingredient they happened to choose. I think that probably helps with people asking, "Hey, can I use x,y,z instead in a recipe..." too, right? LOL Anyway, Nilla Wafers are a fav of mine, & banana 🍌 pudding too 😋 😋 😋 😋 😋 I'm looking forward to that upcoming video for use... Keep your wonderful content coming! Thank you for the time you put into experimentation, I really appreciate it. Not many people talk about how the tsp and Tbs measurement are different in UK/Aussie and US. So when using an American recipe I have to take this into account. Even the Cup measurements are different, that’s why I love it when people give me weight measurements. My scale will weigh gm or oz. Also can I use Equip protein powder as it is not Whey based but Beef protein? Maria Emmerich does not advise using Whey Protein in general.
Have you ever had speculaas? Dutch spice cookie, sometimes called 'windmill cookies' or spelled speculoos. SO SO GOOD! To die for around the holidays or with vanilla ice cream! (hint hint 😻) They sometimes have shaved almonds in them but that's a hard pass for me and anyone with nut allergies - I wonder if big flakes of coconut would pass?
Those were my favorite as a kid. Our local grocery store had them in the bulk bin and we could buy a few for me while everyone else got the bagged cookies lol

Hey! Thank you for another great recipe! I wonder, is there a reason why powdered sweetener (measured by grams) can't be used? You nearly always use a granulated except for icing. I wondered if its preference or necessity? Thanks!
Like I mentioned in this video I believe the melting of the granules allow for a crispier cookie. I use powdered in my shortbread recipe to get a crisp edge but still buttery melty soft cookie.

Aww thanks! That's weird, they all take me to the products I use and hubby tried it on his phone and it went to it. My fav that I have linked is lakanto monkfruit/ erythritol blend. I usually try to find the cheapest cause trying to make a profit. But lakanto works better than any other brand I've used.
People have mentioned my pizzelle recipe possibly being a sub for that. The wafer cookies kind of have an almost Styrofoam texture, I'm not sure what would give it that type of feel though.
Have you tried using dried vanilla beans to amp up vanilla flavor? Also, I assume granulated allulose is not recommended here. Could you tell us what sweetener brand you used?
I haven't but you could, I try to use what I have on hand. Correct, I use any granular monkfruit/erythritol I can get. I prefer lakanto but here I'm using durelife.
I hate coconut everything but like baking with coconut flour because it's less grainy and need a lot less than almond. I use great value organic and find it has way less of a coconut flavor than others. I've heard bamboo can be used in place of coconut 1:1.
@@KetoUpgrade The only thing I hate is when it gets stuck in my teeth lol I used to love the Hostess Coconut donuts but since finding out that I had to quit eating wheat I really have cut way back on sweets I did get a couple dark chocolate Hazelnut bars at Lidl this morning. I have experimented with all different types of flours from almond ,Coconut, sunflower seed ,pumkin seeds almost anything I can put in my small coffee grinder .I was born very creative on my Grandfather's side BIG ROY . So I'm like creative cook also taught by my Grandmother some. I make what I call Caky I cook the batter in a bowl in the microwave lol . They're pretty good especially with cream cheese icing or sauce that I make which is cream cheese, Greek yogurt ,lemon juice, vanilla, stevia and maple syrup. Iorder my organic 100 % Stevia online. Its amazing how far 10 bucks goes on the internet 😂😎
Well my cookies weren’t crispy but flavor was good. my oven even baked quicker with 2min to spare but were already more brown then yours but that didn’t even get them crispy. I will still eat them but I was so hoping they were as crispy as the real thing. My fail not yours ❤
Just read your other comment, sorry I didn't get back to you. Would have said I think powdered would keep it soft like my shortbread cookie recipe. The granular melts and helps get them crispy!

I use to use Mccormick imitation vanilla. Danncy is definitely a good pure vanilla.

Im trying to find a recipe for the paper wafer thins waffle looking wafer like the one used in Wafer Vanilla Creme cookies. Can you try this for us?
People have mentioned my pizzelle recipe possibly being a sub for that. The wafer cookies kind of have an almost Styrofoam texture, I'm not sure what would give it that type of feel though.

Have you tried using dried vanilla beans to amp up vanilla flavor? Also, I assume granulated allulose is not recommended here. Could you tell us what sweetener brand you used?
I haven't but you could, I try to use what I have on hand. Correct, I use any granular monkfruit/erythritol I can get. I prefer lakanto but here I'm using durelife.

Could I use Vanilla Protein powder? I ran out of the unflavored protein isolate powder. Then put less vanilla stevia in?
I did testing with vanilla and it worked but made it less crispy. I would do less vanilla stevia and maybe less xanthan gum.
Mine are in the fridge right now! Do you use a convection oven at 350° or regular oven?
It does both but I baked with no fan at 350.

I hate coconut everything but like baking with coconut flour because it's less grainy and need a lot less than almond. I use great value organic and find it has way less of a coconut flavor than others. I've heard bamboo can be used in place of coconut 1:1.

I did get a couple dark chocolate Hazelnut bars at Lidl this morning.
I have experimented with all different types of flours from almond ,Coconut, sunflower seed ,pumkin seeds almost anything I can put in my small coffee grinder .I was born very creative on my Grandfather's side BIG ROY .
So I'm like creative cook also taught by my Grandmother some.
I make what I call
Caky I cook the batter in a bowl in the microwave lol .
They're pretty good especially with cream cheese icing or sauce that I make which is cream cheese, Greek yogurt ,lemon juice, vanilla, stevia and maple syrup. Iorder my organic 100 % Stevia online. Its amazing how far 10 bucks goes on the internet 😂😎
A small bowl it only take 90 seconds

What kind of coconut keto cookie? I know of coconut macaroons but haven't had any others that I know of.
What can be used instead of stevia?
It's really for the extra punch of vanilla. You don't have to use it.
So it’s ok to use egg white protein
They will turn out just can't guarantee they will have the best texture.

Well my cookies weren’t crispy but flavor was good. my oven even baked quicker with 2min to spare but were already more brown then yours but that didn’t even get them crispy. I will still eat them but I was so hoping they were as crispy as the real thing. My fail not yours ❤
Just read your other comment, sorry I didn't get back to you. Would have said I think powdered would keep it soft like my shortbread cookie recipe. The granular melts and helps get them crispy!
