7:53 The Lion is the VRoc3. I have both and they are identical. The VRoc3 is a mold that was never submitted to the PDGA under that name. Innova later submitted it as the Lion, because Innova made the decision to move away from designating new discs with 3-series technology at the end of 2018, after Paul McBeth left Innova. They still use that technology, but they don't add a "3" at the end of disc names. Here are my notes on the Infinite Discs molds: Aztec = SL (Starfire L) Czar = TeeRex (originally called the Wraith-X) It uses the Wraith bottom with a more blunt nose top. There are TeeRex L's and TeeRex X's. Emperor = Destroyer-L (uses a Destroyer bottom) Maya = Tern top / Mamba bottom Pharaoh = Shryke Slab = flat-top Max Centurion = Leopard3 Dynasty = CD2 Exodus = Eagle L Scepter = flat top Firebird Sphinx = TDx, Roadrunner bottom, Valkyrie top Anubis = Coyote (also the Discmania MD) Chariot = MD3 (also the micro bead Aurora MS) Inca = Roc3 Kon Tiki = Mirage Ra = RocX3 top / Vroc bottom Alpaca = P2 Cohort = XD Myth = Whale Ruin = Rhyno-X bottom and Gator3 top Scarab = VAviar/P1x (2 speed Vtech bottom/Aviar P&A top) Tomb = Rat top / Colt bottom
The centurion is closer to the TL3 - it's one of my favorite discs. It doesn't quite have the same fade back as a leopard3 does, it wants to carry straight
Your drive there is almost exactly how I lost one of my first run Graces. Threw it a bit high and got it turned just a little bit and it made a right turn and I have never seen a disc head off course faster in my life. Pretty sure it went all the way down over the road and clear down to the very bottom of the woods. Didn’t even bother trying to look for it. 😂
@@5stringaustin yeah, that wraith was long gone! The same way! I thought it was going to be lost forever. But there was a couple walking down that street that saw where is landed and pointed it out when we got down there! Luckily it wasn’t too far into the woods past the road…
These courses be doing some strange things with the slight slopes and light winds... Side note, I'm trying to get my hands on a good run of Pharaoh. I am 80% sure it's the old Starfire L mold, which was my favorite disc for a long while
@@BryceRogers_ Compared their PDGA approval, Pharaoh 23mm (not 14 speed but 13 speed) rim vs Starfire L 20mm, a bit more glidey tad less stable than the Starfire, like the new L64 Honor vs the L64 Pioneer I guess ;)

Some thoughts looking at it now: 1) definitely funny to see how you loved the alpaca in this video but didn’t stick with it afterwards. 2) you should definitely put one of those tombs and Ras in your bag to try out now with your improved form. I think you might really love that tomb for the shot you were looking for

The centurion seems like a rebranded Leopard3, and possibly the same run of it that i have in my Leopard3 it. The run definitely seems to be a tad bit more stable than what the numbers would lead you to believe, but if it turns over on a full power shot usually doesn't come back much at all. I wound up getting a Discraft XL that fit the slot I thought my Leopard3 would be a little better
Ohh wind. Welcome out of Florida duder. In honesty are you pumped to move to a 4 season environment for disc golf? Winter here in Cleveland which you know is crippling for my disc golf obsession. I still get out but layering up or cold wet discs change stuff. Super pumped to see you growing and moving but is Colorado a good choice for all year disc golf?

Infinite is good. I throw a champ metal flake glow emperor and it isn't stable, but it isn't understable. It doesn't go further than my Zeus or Destroyers, but it goes far enough and is super consistent!

Common mistake made time and time again in this video. Discing down when you should disc up, and discing up when you should disc down. I think people try too hard to throw putters far to say they can reach a good distance with a putter. Most people should almost always throw a mid range when they opt for a putter. The key to accuracy is throwing a disc with less power for more control. On the other end, reaching that 400 mark consistently is discing down and getting stable 9 or 10 speeds there first. Also, throw hard on almost a spike hyzer line in a field a lot to gain faster arm speed. Colorado throwers bomb because they have to learn how to throw the disc high and nose down to get the disc to carry, which requires a fairly big hyzer out of the hand. It's not so much the turn you will notice in Denver, it's that discs drop out of the sky much faster with less air density. Overthrow focuses too much on copying pros every little movement. Lots of what Josh tries to teach is a side affect of just throwing hyzers nose down higher than you think. The back knee will shove inward into the front leg, and your back hip stay down and back longer in your run up when you start throwing higher hyzers. Very common to achieve max distance in the beginning throwing hard or slight anhyzer hard, but it will only get you so far.
@@jonsidell3338 Yeah, when I looked at it, it definitely looked like a Leopard3! But with Anthony throwing it... the centurion was much more stable than any Leo3 I have ever seen! It's super confusing!
