To be honest, I love my DX destroyer so much! We have an unexplained love that will stand the test of time. It sleeps under my pillow every night, but not during intimate time. I don’t need it judging me with its judgy edges.
Bro is your old channel/videos still up? I couldn’t remember the name of it or ur channel name. I remember watching your vids years ago and didn’t realize it was you till ur clip of you with the destroyers.
Good stuff. Very funny. Don’t understand aviar hype. Stink with them. Two dusty in the garage Been using nova putter. Not horrible with it. Any putter suggestions? Unless i am putting i throw forehand. Destroyer in garage dusty. As you said. Requires a lot of power. Most don’t have it. Like trying to use tiger wood blade irons to golf. I throw a Dx viking for straight or dx beast for shaping shots all day. Tee bird, thunderbird, sidewinder in garage dusty. Dx leopard fairway. I do like my roc3 dx though same color as the one in your video actually. I throw forehand. Somehow my lightweight dx roc 3 and my weak accidental minor hyzer forehand flicks are a match. Repeatable results. Gaugeable distance control. Mako3 in rotation as well.
I appreciate good comedy and get sarcasm keep up the good work. Funny whenever I find a disc it's usually an Innova. My theory is when you lose an Innova is it really worth the effort bushwhacking for a disc you can get in the used bin for five bucks.
Yeeeeah can’t tell if you’re being sincere or trolling, but leaning towards trolling on this one.. Aviar = probably the most copied flight/mold(ish) putter across the board of other brands. I’d bet if it didn’t come in their starter packs and had that moniker attached to it, it’d be a shit-ton more popular. Annnnd on to the Destroyer.. Sounds like you’re knocking players for choosing to throw the disc rather than the disc itself. Lastly the Thunderbird - Don’t mess with the Thundy! Fucking perfect disc. Hearing your points just screams not having the touch to use it.. Enough overstability to throw in the wind, but not so much you that you can’t finesse it in the woods. Money disc.
Yeah, Thunderbird has unlocked insane possibilities for me. Driven flat and low lines with a ton of torque resistance and when it is done flying straight as an arrow for as far as I can throw my 12 speeds, it fades. I recommend you get a pro plastic one to start with as it basically simulates a beat in star thundy out of the box. Then get a star or champ one to beat in and fight wind.
I putt with glow aviars, throw with champ aviars, thunderbirds are perfect for the stable slot between teebird and destroyer. They go 75ft further than a teebird but with the same exact flight, yet not as far as a true distance driver. And yeah the destroyer you are right if you can’t throw consistently over 350’ - 400’, no need for one. But if you can 💴
No mention of the pro Corvette.. the star Corvette is pretty flat & stable but the pro is a little domey making it the fastest hyzer flip driver in my bag. For me it is fast yet very controllable. Probably more suited as an underrated disc golf driver vid 😅
I only bag a destroyer for a more accurate forehand. I tried throwing it backhand a few times and laughed at myself. I disc down for backhand and now go back & forth between an Aztec & Thunderbird. To me, they feel more comfortable than a wraith.
I throw whatever feels good to throw/or if its really windy amuses me (150g mamba), 150g dx destroyer feels so easy to throw 250 is a 50% if that backhand 350 max, yes I can throw a leopard just as far, but as I said does not feel as good /easy to throw, that said I was working with my putters the other day a set of 5 judges/beat in to hell and back and was getting 220 to 250 on a rip with them, I was supposed to be practicing putting but it bores me to death !
Don't think the roadrunner is as understable as it's flight numbers suggest, so fully agree with your take on the roadrunner vs sidewinder. Sidewinder definitely better for rolling.
See, most of these discs you mention are sold in Dicks, and people who shop at Dicks are notoriously brain-dead in general, and you can bet they know absolutely nothing about disc golf. They'll buy those dx aviars, dx colts (which isn't that bad tbh), champion roc3s, champion thunderbirds and star destroyers and when they throw them, they'll be like "wow, disc golf is kinda boring". Which is NOT how you want people to start off with the sport!
The only thing brain dead is your comment, this is such an inaccurate assessment of how someone is going to react to disc golf as a beginner. Someone just starting out isn’t going to throw any disc well, it really matters not with what you start with. If someone is even slightly interested in the sport they will most likely look some stuff up about it, once they begin to learn the game and also the equipment you begin to learn what you need. I bought several high speed drivers when I first started in all kinds of plastics because I wanted to see what different kinds of feelings were associated with the different plastics, didn’t matter if it was a destroyer or a putter because they were all going to fade hard to the left and go about 150 feet. I bought an entire bags worth of discs last year as an investment in myself as I grow into the discs that I had. Honestly what I can stand more than anything is people putting this completely made up arbitrary system out here that says if you aren’t throwing this far or doing this then you shouldn’t bag this disc. The thing about it is that most people, including the person posting the video, will tell you to go a route that they themselves didn’t go and wouldn’t go even if they had this information available to them when they started. No amount of hypocrites telling new players to not bag a high speed driver or another disc is gonna deter someone from going out and getting one just to see for themselves.
I'm sharp with the roadrunner. well, getting consistent with it. It's good rhbh or rhfh and a Great runner for me too. Now I can somewhat agree about the destroyer. Only cause I can't rhbh it well. However, rhfh I can rip that disk like the panties off a bish bout to give me some😊
Ya that whole concept is one of the best things any beginner or intermediate player should know. If you cannot consistently and accurately throw in the 390-400 range, bagging 12 or higher speeds is ridiculous.
Love my Champion Roc3, don't care what you say. Agree with you on Shryke > Destroyer for those of us that are honest about our distance. Same people should also look at the Mystere; love that thing!
Definitely made me lol. Because i believe every take you had on this. Best advice i had as a noob is that the destroyer was too fast for me. I learned eventually how to throw distance drivers, but fuck a Destroyer. Shryke and Corvette all day. Fuck a Roc3. So much more out there to throw. Id rather throw a Harp or an eclipse hex...or anything else.
Aviar = yuck. Sorry Innova, still ❤ U Sorry bout you Pops, glad he made it off the course I throw sidewinders, no shame! Sometimes even dx. I figured it out, as I explained to Stokely, I'm a trippy dippy hippie who likes his discs flippy"
@@Birdogiedg don’t have a huge arm, I’m only okay at forehands my backhands are really bad. I found a champion one and used it for a super long time and it still fights out of a lot of anhyzer. Lol not me bagging 3 Aviars, 3 Sidewinders, and 6 Destroyers, each model in different plastics... But I also throw my Destroyers 500ft, so it's whatever.
Someone that isn't good at disc golf having an opinion 😂. Maybe watch some TH-cam form videos instead of crying about molds you don't have the power to throw properly 😂....

Calvin Heimberg putts with the aviar but who’s he?
This was a silly video, could not finish it.

Totally agree on the roc3. The kc pro roc is my alltime favorite disc - but the roc3 just feels wrong…..
Bro my homie putts with that aviar and he sticks with it and he's always banging chains
The Tern helped me get the Destroyer out of my bag
The Tern is so much better

I bag two champ Roc3’s. Love ‘em. In other news, my favorite foods are brussel sprouts and lima beans.
I would rather bag only lima beans then a Roc3
There is a two time world champ that puts with a classic aviar your video is worse than a groove

I think the Jeremy Koling thunderbird’s are one of the best discs Innova makes 🤐
Hot take alert
i agree
Had me all the way until you went at the thunderbird, somehow over the firebird.
