  • We finally stayed overnight at Fontainebleau Las Vegas and tried several restaurants. They don't have any Buffet here, but La Fontaine is definitely one of my favorite brunch restaurants in Las Vegas from now on. Worth it? Let's check.

    That place should have been their Buffet! :) :) :)

      It should! Such a nicely decorated restaurant. But no Buffet plans here… Similar to Resorts World Fontainebleau has a Promenade - a fancy food court with different small restaurants for sushi, burgers, Italian food, pizza, taco, and coffee with pastries.

      The restaurants are the best part of this hotel, they are nicely decorated, service was surprisingly good in all 3 restaurants and a lobby bar we tried, and they are very very reasonably priced for Las Vegas!

    We had a similar suprise experience here. We were expecting small portions and pretentious food, but it ended being one of the best breakfasts we've experienced in Vegas.

      Seems like this restaurant was specifically designed to be a brunch place - light and bright, might not be the most appropriate atmosphere for the dinner. But why not - they need more customers to make it all profitable 100%

    I honestly haven't gotten used to the Bleu being reopened. I would rather visit the other buffet you guys went to last year.
    In my opinion the Bleu is lacking something.
    Overall I always enjoy the videos ❤❤❤❤

      Thanks, Kenya! I think you should still come and visit the Fontainebleau. It’s a beautiful new hotel, nicely designed and decorated. Their Promenade Food Court and other restaurants have a great variety and we loved exploring all the options. They are well priced for Las Vegas and you don’t overeat compared to a buffet! :) The resort still needs to figure out their main attraction / show - something to wow the people and make them want to do the walking from the Strip…

      @@CheckerTravel I totally agree. Not sure why people are giving this place bad mediocre reviews. We loved it. Loose Slots. Great Breakfast. Great Food Court.

    For me personally I cannot see that a buffet would work at that property but that's just me.

      Buffets are just a unique part of Las Vegas experience that many come for. Bellagio, Wynn, Cosmo - all have Buffets and those are very popular. New hotels in Las Vegas like Resorts World and Fontainebleau just prefer to ditch this buffet concept as a thing of the past… which makes them look more like a nice hotel anywhere around the US, but nothing wow-special for Las Vegas… To be fair, we liked the concept of Fontainebleau making a Promenade - which is like a fancy food court. It’s not very expensive, and you don’t overeat!

      @@CheckerTravel for me a buffet just doesn't fit that property at all and personally I would hope they never put in a buffet there. Buffets do not bring in the gamblers, it does bring in a cross-section of people but I don't think that's the kind of people that property wants attract. It certainly wouldn't fit at Resorts World either. And there are plenty of high-end buffets. Fontainebleau would have to spend a lot of money to staff a buffet and redesign an interior space and they don't make money for the property.

      @@CheckerTravel I just wanted to follow up because the Sahara which is close went through a renovation 2 years ago but in no way were they even thinking of a buffet. The strategically open up a sports bar and a few other restaurants that have been doing well. You have to realize at the North end of the strip the foot traffic is slower. Food courts seem to be the way many properties are now going to. In the last years of the Riviera I thought their food court was good but it wasn't enough to keep the property open.

    • @CheckerTravel
      @CheckerTravel  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Totally agree on this. Sahara bought back the hotel from SLS which didn't find it's niche in Las Vegas either. We hope Fontainebleau finds a way to keep afloat with the location being terrible. Buffets in general are not our go-to places, but tourists love them as another special experience. For us we prefer going to a nice restaurant and have a meal without the rush, time limit and a crazy mix of food. Promenade seemed to be not crowded at all, so it should be enough. We tried several other restaurants on property and loved most of them.@@boyova1
