The views in the Intercontinental are much more breathtaking especially with the pool.
yes, the pool overlooking the mountains looks amazing! But we prefer swimming in the ocean right outside the bungalows 😄 so much fun! (waiting for baby sharks 🦈😅)
Not sure why you wouldn't talk rates, takes about 30 seconds to look it up on google and so much cheaper than the miraval.
Haha, it’s on 18:53 at the very end this time 😅 We stayed at Miraval Arizona and agree, it was x3 the price. Miraval is (almost) all-inclusive though and they provide a small credit for massage or experiences. We didn’t like the food options at Miraval as they were more vegan inspired and most drinks were not included. The service and atmosphere was great in both 👍🏻
$65 for parking is insane 😢
@@brianspielberg9000 yes, a little excessive. And you don’t have any options as it’s on a secluded hilltop
I think that new design is pretty awful, and the only way it would have gotten past Steve Wynn is over his dead body.

Thank you @drvvskipt 😍 Enjoy your trip to Vegas! 🎰 Remember about sunscreen and hydration. It is hot 🥵
Watch Steve in Pam Springs, and go visit that area of California. It’s beautiful, old Hollywood with Sinatra’s old house and bars. 👍🍀
we love Palm Springs, but it’s so hot 🥵 right now. Enjoy your summer! ❤️
We all think of the old Hollywood & it’s really changed🙈. Nice hotel, but it’s kind of pricey. Wow, your meal looks delicious 👍😻. Nice travels and scenery. California is fantastic 👍. The mountains look so nice.
Thanks @kissycat 😍 Yep, it’s nice but walking around is so scary at night. We are basically local, and Hollywood is the only area we rarely go to, just avoid it at all costs now.
This looks so cool and futuristic. When I stop in Dallas on my way to Nevada I definitely need to see this. Thank you for posting ❤❤❤❤

Can you securely leave your baggage inside the Pod and go Wash-up for prayer or to go to find meals / dinner? My niece is going soon with her 2 daughters. They need the security to be able to pray and have security to rest without having to go far to a hotel. Is this worth it?
Definitely, this is not a type of a hotel to securely lock your belongings and leave. The pods have a small space underneath which is secure as long as you sleep on top of it. There is no space for them to pray there, unfortunately, as it is a very quiet and tight area. It’s not designed to be a re-entry hotel. And for three of them it would be expensive to pay for the time they don’t actually sleep. Maybe a regular hotel room inside the airport or around the airport is better (if they have a long layover and enough time to go through security again). Hope this helps.
Mandalay Bay pool is HORRIBLE! Trust me.

You had a garden view it seems. The cheapest is the resort view. What do you think of the resort view?
We checked and stayed at several different rooms at the Royal Hawaiian hotel. The best was of course Historic wing garden Suite - it’s big, has a living room, additional amenities and we had a beautiful historic garden view. Resort view might just mean that you’ll be assigned any available room. Usually those can face a lonely tree or a wall / parking structure. But once all simple rooms are gone - you’ll probably get the same garden view. The hotel is beautiful and if you don’t plan on spending much time in the room - any option will work. If you don’t mind spending a little extra - we’d recommend getting a smaller room but with ocean view in the historic wing. The suite we got was very nice but almost x3 price. You can watch full review for suite and a detailed resort review here: th-cam.com/video/JTTmAHxxVl8/w-d-xo.htmlsi=b20NFaNHmOVlboD_ Hope this helps! Have a great trip 😍
wow in EUROPE? which of the 45 country's and states in Europe because all country's have different prices and food? And some even different currency..haha

I'll stay in the USA
Just got back. Loved it. And the adult topless pool was 😻
sounds like someone had a lot of fun 🤩
This place is infested of bed bugs
Oh no, seems like we were more lucky 🍀 on our visit it was fine.
It is dangerous, be careful at night guys! Nice hotel! It’s small but very smartly designed! Awesome location! Awesome views! Thanks for showing us another place to stay thanks guys!
Thanks, Ivan! always my pleasure. It’s just Hollywood, maybe one day it becomes cleaner and more safe to walk around. Otherwise, sometimes beautiful hotels open in wrong places :(
Hi guys! Her face when she looks at at the prices looks like an emoji 😮 haha! Good shopping Marina! Rumania is cheap is it safe there? I love Spain’s ham, you forgot it! Cool orange juice machine. Andry you have awesome selections! Do you guys cook? I love to cook! Man Marina is everywhere! Cool video! I think Andry won haha cause he had better selection, but I love Marinas travels, be safe Marina! Great video guys!
Thanks, Ivan! We had fun making something new for the channel 😅 the prices in the US are much higher and we miss high quality food in Europe. We did get prosciutto in Spain - it’s sliced ham for like $2.5 We do cook a lot and love going to our farmer’s market to get organic fruits and veggies. We get groceries only at Trader Joe’s and Wholefoods as they have a good mix of everything and seem to be healthier.
Hmm the supermarkets were not really comparable - the first two seemed smaller, more boutique with pricier and better quality offerings - and of course Ukraine is on a war time economy - then there is the bargain basement home of crap Walmart which is a big industrial warehouse full of unhealthy basic food or discount imported European food - even then the US is still the most expensive.....
Haha, I feel your pain… In Europe historically all grocery shops are smaller and have not so much variety (because do you really need so many choices? ), but almost anything you take is high quality as they have higher quality standards and ban the use of many chemicals, preservatives, dyes etc that are allowed in the USA. They are not boutique, just regular neighborhood go-to grocery stores. The closest equivalent in the US is Trader Joe’s that we absolute love. As you noticed, we didn’t go to Wholefoods or Gelson’s or similar much pricier stores. Why Walmart is the most expensive ? The food for thought.
@@CheckerTravel Don't generalize) In northern Europe there are plenty of grocery shops, where you have temptation to use car in a shop. And small ones, they are expensive and with little choice. Do I need a lot of choice? Hell, no, in case shop has exactly the products, I want.
Ideally you had to shop in Lidl in all 3 counties. Spain has Lidl as well and Spanish Lidl is often cheaper than in other countries. Mercadona is popular but Carrefour is a deal breaker in Spain as well. Also there is Aldi in Spain, similar chain to Lidl. Lidl is not the best to be compared with other shops as they often have smaller packages/sizes. You pay 30 cents for a loaf of bread, but that loaf is 2-3 times lighter that the one you took in Mercadona. USA has Aldi. Ideally you had to translate weight to value, not number of items to value.
Ideally yes, but there is no Aldi or Lidl in Ukraine, so we just went with the popular options. Carrefour in Spain is great, but there was none in the walking distance as most of them are far from the central part, and the smaller Carrefour express stores are too small with little choice. Of course, it’s an approximate comparison as we just wonder and grab similar random items from the shelves that seem to be the best value. But in general, you get the idea of the prices and how much one can spend for basics.
Fascinating! Thanks for this video. We love to wander the aisles in grocery stores wherever we go just to see the different varieties of products and prices. I’m curious to know if the stores in the countries you visited have coupons or sales, or is that more of an American thing? What we buy on grocery visits here in LA definitely depends on what’s on sale!
Thanks for your kind feedback 😍 we love discovering new food and flavors! especially in Europe the quality of food is soo much better! everything tastes divine and is healthier than 99% of food in the US. We rarely see coupons but they do have sales, especially when something new is introduced or maybe not selling well and they need to clear the shelf. The prices in LA are so high that we estimate spending at least x3-4 times more on groceries in the US compared to Europe.
@@CheckerTravel a lot of Americans commute too far, work too much, and have too much to do! Many find that it's so much easier to just grab convenient, inexpensive, low quality food. Spending time and money sourcing quality food and preparing it is exhausting in addition to everything else we have to pack into a day. It's not a good way to live :(
@@EllabellitaLovesSlots unfortunately :( we travel a lot and had lived in Spain for almost two months at some point. They are so much happier! like taking life easier, celebrating more each day and always having a nice meal with a glass of wine 🍷 😃 At the end of the day, we don’t need much to be happy ❤️
@@CheckerTravel that’s definitely the way to live 💕
This is definitely informative because the food prices here are ridiculous. I can't believe how the price of milk has gone up over the years. A few days ago I wanted to buy Salmon it was between the prices of $14-$18 one piece.
Thanks, Kenya! the cost of the produce in the US is just getting out of control. It seems like the prices keep increasing without obvious reason. And the quality of groceries in Europe is SOO much better and much cheaper. Milk shelf life is 7-10 days as it should be. The food we are catered here in the US is just (literally) killing us. And when we try to eat healthy, it costs an arm and a leg. We miss the food in Europe the most!
and it’s ridiculous that we are surrounded by 2 oceans, but don’t have affordable high-quality fresh fish straight from the fishermen 😩
As a consumer activist I would never shop in Walmart anyhow, but that's neither here no there. I would be curious about government regulations in other countries and see if they are as stringent as US laws, which I believe is the reason our costs are so much higher for groceries. Other things, not so much. Cable for example is much cheaper in europe because they control costs to the consumer where the US just lets them charge whatever they want. Great episode though, thank you, this was very interesting.
The quality of food in Europe is x100 times better than in the US, as they have more strict laws and ban the use of many chemicals, preservatives, artificial flavors and dyes that are allowed in the US. And the food is not only much cheaper, but tastes like real food. Milk shelf life is 7-10 days max, not months. German and French people eat tons of bread and butter, but they are not obese, because it’s natural butter and high quality bread which costs pennies. You’ll be surprised that even US brands like Kellogg’s, Mars make healthier variations of the same cereals and chocolates for the EU market, while selling loads of sugar, poisonous dyes, palm oil and corn syrup to kids in the US at much higher prices :( On a separate note, we rarely shop in Walmart, as we don’t have it around and don’t like the range of produce, but it’s the most popular in the US and is considered to have the lowest prices. We shop in Trader Joe and Wholefoods.
@@CheckerTravel Cool. Europe takes better care of it's citizens than the US, that's for sure. I know many of them denied Tesla cars from using their roads until the self driving was disabled. The US however allowed all car makers to us US highways for testing without notifying anyone they were being used as test dummies. I know Walgreens is popular, because few people care that they put millions of people out of jobs by shutting out competitors and forcing companies like Nike to manufacture in China in order to get shelf space. But as you mentioned, the price differences really have to do with average incomes rather than manufacturing costs, I never thought about that. great video as always, thanks for the feedback.
@@jlsc4125 Thanks for your great feedback ❤️ We really think that our everyday consumer choices will eventually make big companies change (or disappear).
@@CheckerTravel While I wish it would create a movement, I'm not that naive. But I feel better about myself for at least taking a stand with my own money,
Great video. Can you tell me how I can go about booking this place?
We found it on Airbnb in Puerto Rico. You may search for El Yunque Treehouse in Rio Grande. Have a great trip 😍

yes, they’ve recently updated their prices unfortunately.
for a cheapest room that looks outstanding! was it the stay well king? how far from the buffet was this room?
Yes it was great. The name of the room is “Studio King”. The rooms are located in a far corner of the hotel which has a second elevator and exit not far from the Buffet. But we do not recommend MGM Buffet :( It’s not worth it at all, noisy the food is average and you are better off just having a regular smaller (but tastier) breakfast somewhere else. Our full review of MGM Buffet is here: th-cam.com/video/Sd29idscbl4/w-d-xo.htmlsi=FswARlqH9bWWttxK Have a nice trip!
what a rip off, u can get a room next to airport with free transport at premier inn for 60 AUD a night.
It doesn’t make sense for most people in transit to leave the airport. First, some tourists need a Visa to leave the transit area. Second, you need to go through security and passport control again which takes a lot of time. Most transit connections at Doha are only 4-12 hours, you are better off staying at the airport lounge or such capsule hotel to have a nap for a few hours. Yes, it’s more expensive compared to what the city has to offer. But coffee and water in the airports are more expensive too. It’s just how airports work.
@@CheckerTravelI still wouldn’t do it, as personally I can live without sleep but I can’t live without a shower. But the shower costs nearly same price as hotel room. So answer, if u have time or don’t need visa it’s cheaper to stay overnight at hotel and catch a plane next day. That’s what I did in Dubai n glad I did. You’re talking to an Aussie who flies the longest distance.

Oh no! 😬 which hotel was that? MGM Grand ?
Olha ésta figurinha ainda pequena mas tão forte que com certeza irá trazer muitas alegrias ao seu amado pai o genial Andrea Botelli.❤
Too expensive for the service and room you receive. This hotel went from category 7 to 8 and back to 7, perhaps because nobody went there paying that high points or cash value. The rooms look good, but people complain about sound proof, services are not meeting the quality standard for Category 7 hotel, but maybe 5. Pools are there but miniscule, has beach access, but it is covered with pebbles and hard to walk. This hotel should be 'at most' category 6 hotel among Hyatt property. I would consider visiting this place again if it was offered at $350-400 at max. Otherwise, go to Park Hyatt Aviara.

You should visit Hilton Vallarta Riviera, is near from that hotel. Has a private beach too.
Thanks, Fernanda! We are not big fans of Hilton hotels… usually they are dated and their customers rewards program is one of the worst.
I would choose Motel 6 (Cheaper ) if I had to pay for the room, over Mark Hopkins only if someone else was paying for the room..(Expensive),
Looks great.

I've booked my ticket for October from the UK is Downton LA safe during the day?
Downtown LA is safe during the day, and most of it is pretty safe during the night as well. Some areas have lots of homeless though, so you gotta be careful. Do you need to stay in Downtown LA? In general, it’s not the best place if you are a tourist with a rental car…

Count Dracula was a vassal of the Hungarian king, Matthias Hunyadi. However, the Ottoman conquest caused him to flee from the land of Valachia. He therefore lived here in the Hungarian kingdom for 14 years. Historians believe that 50-50% of the time he was "imprisoned" in Buda Castle or Visegrád. He was not in prison, of course. In fact, in his last years he was allowed to walk free. His last wife was Jusztinia Szilágyi, with whom he moved to Pécs. Later he went back to Valachia, where he was executed. The Pécs's house was sold by his wife in 1489 and documents have survived.
No jacuzzi?? Or...bar??? Those are the top 2 things I have when booking a hotel.
