You cannot upgrade this DS RAM 1500 GVM unless you replace the front and rear axles and the wheel hubs.

Hi Victor. There’s no increase on the RAM’s GCM at this point. It’s just a GVM Upgrade.

Upgrading to 3950 kg/8,700 lbs doesn't seem to make sense. Why not just buy a 4500kg/10,000 lb GVWR Ram 2500? The Chrysler 9.25 in the rear of the 1500 is not the strongest especially when compared to the AAM (old corporate 14 bolt - 9.5 front, 10.5 or 11.5 in rear depending on engine)

Because in Australia the 2500 can be up to $50k more to buy plus they’re diesel with DPFs and ad blue and sooo many owners have DPF problems and get them deleted which is illegal and carries huge fines.

@@mohvanwah DEF (AdBlue is a brand name)/DPF and EGR cause issues with diesels here too. The only people that get to drive new emissions free vehicles are government employees when driving government vehicles.
Also, the 250/2500s all come standard with a gasoline V8. The diesel option is a $10,000 upcharge.
There is no reason that a 2500/250 should be $50k more than a 1500. Does your government impose huge fees or taxes on the 2500/250s? My F450 wasn't $50k more than a similar trim F150.

What vehicle can tow 4.5 ton, has about 1500kg payload from standard (this would be the approximate payload after this gvm upgrade) that can also be a daily driver and can be bought new in Australia from $115k?
