Another great video!...thanks for the demo and you have motivated me to try my acoustic now....I tend to get tied up in my Gretsch electric and forget the fun acoustic stuff. Thumbs up from me!
I don't have a large collection of guitars but I've been able to quickly find wonderful tones on the spark with every single one. The presets are great to my ear and require just a little tweaking to find what's best for each song. I have a Taylor GC8e for my acoustic and the Spark is actually the best sounding amp I've ever run it through! I've played through some really nice amps from Fishman to Bose to AER and Carvin. It's very difficult for an amplifier to capture the natural beautiful sound of a really nice acoustic guitar. The Spark does it as well as any I've played. Astounding for a $224 "practice amp". Thanks for the video Allan. I really appreciate your Spark series. Rock on amigo🎸🎶🎵

Hey thanks brother! Yeah I had a bumpy start with PG but I’ve really come to appreciate the amp. And their customer support has referred customers to my Basic User Guide which is ironic but funny! I love your content - keep it coming!
......Got started on mine today. Although it has that "grounding hum" issue everybody is talking about, I can tell that it's plenty loud enough for small venues like coffee shoppes, etc...even without a pre- amp....Once I get polished and well- oiled with the "backing tracks" and their uses, I think it's off to the races with gigs...
The acoustic settings look really well on my electric guitar as well (Jamstik Studio). Using the midi pickup with a DAW and an acoustic model sounds more realistically acoustic, but if you can only have a single guitar, the Spark can pretty much let you play any song in any genre and sound pretty good. There are a few quirks in the software that I think need to be worked out, but nothing too serious.
Thank you so much for making this video. I remember asking you if you would do it, and you did ! Thank you 🙏 ! This amp seems to be stunning. Thank you again. Take care !
So a follow up to my prior comment. I ended up using my Spark for the gig last night. We are an acoustic duo and it was our first gig. No proper PA at the moment so we pieced a "PA" together. His vocals went through my Fishman Loudbox Mini. I plugged my guitar directly into the Spark. Also, I had 4 acoustic patches already loaded into the 4 hardware presets because I don't trust the app in a live setting. Just preference. I don't want to rely on wifi when I can possibly lose it. It did a great job. I think master volume was at 9 or 10 o'clock max. It cut through nicely as we were outside. My preference is going right into a proper PA system by Spark will definitely get the job done in this type of setting if needed.
Got mine several months ago and one day one try my Taylor 314 through it and was amazed. I started urging owners in my other forums to make sure they tried it also. My Spark is my living room amp and when I play acoustic through it I balance the acoustic sound from the guitar with the spark itself and get a great sound. Thanks for your review!
I've had mine for a while and I'm only just scratching the surface of what this beauty can do! It seems I will only be restricted by my creativity. Great video buddy

@@GearGasms Well ok, I watched the end again. Maybe it was too intellectual for me, or possibly not intellectual enough, but I didn't get it. I saw the guy with the soiled knickers, was that it?
"Electric-acoustic" guitars, even acoustics you've added a pickup on have always sounded very "brittle," for lack of a better word, and the piezo hasn't come very far since its inception. I know, because I have a Takamine I bought in 1980 that has one. To let you know how old it is, it has two slider controls - one volume, and one "bass/treble" slider, and the 9V battery is held in a clip inside the body that's mounted to the neck block. Christ, that thing sounds *AWFUL!!* And while today's acoustic pickups are 100X more evolved with their own preamps, and many have an added a *tiny* microphone, which has helped a *tiny* bit, but not much. They barely even sound like an acoustic guitar at all. With that being said, just those first two patches in my Spark amp somehow improves the sounds of *all* my acoustics, including the old Takamine. What's even better, is that adding (and tweaking a little,) the reverb and chorus effects gives them a really great sounding 12-string-ey kind of SOUND, and *I LOVE IT!!*
I agree about piezos but I do have to say the system in my Taylor is very good and the new ones are supposed to be better. Glad the Spark is treating your acoustics right! 🎸🤘🏻

Hey, I'm a little worried about you, cuz? Why no jokes? No, sorry, your haircut doesn't count! (Maybe I'm jealous, seeing as how I don't have hardly any hair up there on my own pate. So, just kidding about that, your hair looks great for your age). Maybe the lockdown's getting to you. At any rate, I listened to the entire video, and it was very interesting! Take care!
There’s a great joke at the very end! I always hide at least one Easter Egg in the final seconds!
@@GearGasms Well ok, I watched the end again. Maybe it was too intellectual for me, or possibly not intellectual enough, but I didn't get it. I saw the guy with the soiled knickers, was that it?
No it was Mick Mars’ hunch! Lol
@@GearGasms Oh. Still don't freakin get it!
He has a condition that has him hunched over. Quasimodo
@@GearGasms right back at ya, Alan.
Wish I could e heard the delay pedal
Sorry there’s tons of other Spark content including a rundown of all the effects, on my channel if you like
