Something I noticed after watching the cartoons a couple of times is how they subtlety blame video games and movies. As if the "violent" behavior kids and people watch is to blame for shootings. They absolutely lose points for that in my book

Yes, you are right. Its not a problem of violent medias "brainwashing" normal people to do bad things with guns. Its a problem with Already Unstable people who are encouraged to do bad things, because News media will make them "celebrities" by plastering their names, Faces, and life story, all over the place, for potential WEEKS after the event. (its also ironic how they are also the main hater of videogames) For someone who is already Unstable and almost over the edge. Going out with, Nationwide Imfamy might be a FAR more tempting option than just pulling the trigger on yourself. Its sad but true. *However it has NOTHING to do with VIDEOGAMES or violent MOVIES!!!* (id honestly put more blame on social media for reasons that would take to long to type)

If you think about how the gun in the second video got there, it can be really dark. It's actually possible due to it being in a mostly empty backpack it was a pickup cache. Something terrorists and gangs often due to get weapons to people with felonies. They will usually set up a location, inform the person where it is, and drop it there. I doubt that's how it was intended to be received but that has an extreme similarity to a pickup cache...
Wait, so, a "pickup cache" is when somebody tricks another person into picking up a gun so they can frame them for it? Am I understanding this correctly? (I've never heard of this before)
The Sonic PSAs actually stuck with me more than the Eddie Eagle ones. “If someone touches you in a place that makes you feel uncomfortable, that’s no good!”

Majority of deaths during World War II weren't caused from firearms, or atleast one you wouldn't find laying around your house. Most deaths during World War II were caused due to bombings and mass genocide, the main causes obviously being Project Manhattan and the Holocaust. Something your average kid wouldn't find in his house
To be honest it would be kinda cool seeing Eddie in another type of cartoon. His design is simple but it reminds me of Apollo from Animal Crossing and i love him to bits.

The best gun saftey advice i can give is (what i belive to be) common knowlage, 1. Always assune a firearm is loaded when handling 2. Never aim the barrel of the weapon at anything tou dont want to destroy 3.always keep you finger off the trigger of a weapon you are holding 4.dont trust gun safety cartoons
Yeah, keep gun pointed at the ground too. Unloaded or not it’s still a weapon. And it’s a bad habit to get into just waving a literal hand held death machine around.

I remember watching this episode of Gargoyles where Bronx plays with Elisa's gun and accidentally shoots her, almost killing her, then lying about who did it and causing a shitstorm that leads to Goliath almost killing a man. me and my brother always know and knew damn well where dad’s guns were, yet before we even knew what a gun was we somehow figured out that they arent toys. parents never even had to say a word. the only gun safety psas i heard were the 5 yearly mandatory ones at school, and the day I downloaded APEX legends and Halo Infinite
When I was in elementary school in the 2000s, we took a field trip to the police station to hear about gun safety and we watched the original cartoon (the version with the woman narrating). I'd completely forgotten about how much I loved the song at the time! I remember thinking that the other eagles in the introduction were actually the stars of their own cartoons...

I remember having to watch this. Hm looks like we’ve checked all the character boxes: - Flawless protagonist - Hyper curious - Someone from another culture (said we needed to represent more people) - Edgy kid, obsessed with video games Honestly this was painful. That song was repeatedly sung by my family to torture me after the fact. I also question the logic behind *running away*? You know the kids gonna be screaming “GUN GUN GUN” and inciting panic... Wouldn’t it be better to tell them to *calmly* find an adult to tell...?
The goose is probably playing a hit and scan type of FPS For real guns it take atleast a few miliseconds for the billet to reach the target and the bullet can be effected by wind and the gun can also jam(the slide goes back to fast and catches the bullet before it actually leaves the chamber)
Actually if you ever saw Derek Savage and heard his “advice” about guns, you’d much rather have a giant anthropomorphic eagle screaming at you about gun safety. Derek Savage actually broke into a woman’s house uninvited all because she rejected his advances several times and he thought she was sleeping with the actor in the Cool Cat mascot.
@@Zecemic Exactly. It’s different when you can see the fear in your victim’s eyes and the texture (keyboard keys vs grooves of a Glock-19) is way different. Plus if you’ve been playing video games too long to not be able to differentiate between virtual and real life, then heck you not going to be able to carry that rocket launcher like you would a lunchbox. And chances are you can’t take that kind of knockback.
@@rainalystre1877 yeah I honestly find it so stupid so many people legitimately believe that people even just slightly younger than them can’t tell what’s real and what’s not a great example of this is the rating system for games/movies etc don’t get me wrong there are definitely games/movies that do need to be rated if there’s something that could be damaging to certain audiences but that said there’s also a ton of really dumb stuff too for example there’s a game rated r for having violence and a drug reference but the funniest thing is that the “drug” reference is literally just a recipe for water 😂
