That is the exact ceiling I have in mind for the ceiling in my current interior remodel of my 37' 89 Fleetwood Class A Motorcoach. So far I've upgarded the 460 Ford and C6 3 speed tranny to a Very Healthy 5.9L 12 valve Cummins and Allison 5 speed tranny. Regeared the Diff and installed a positrac . Then put a Ford 7000 MDT truck Radiator and Intercooler in it. Mechanically it's almost done, just gonna pump up the engine HP to 450 with an AFC Live Fueler. The interior I've been working on over the last few years, but had to take a break so my wife and I could fight our cancers. It would take too long to explain all the interior mods but it has a 55" Pop Up TV and Electric Movier Theater Recliners in the living area. We are now healthy and I promised her I'd remodel the house before I get back on the Coach. (Should have it finished by Spring.) Amazing build. So well thought out and stunning. The one thing I'm unsure about is the lack of access directly into the cab. Don't you feel like that creates a safety issue? Do you ever feel uneasy because of it? I feel like I'd never be able to sleep in the back, and any sound outside would make me panic if I didn't have direct access to the cab.
Thought about access from the cab but it would have taken up too much room in both the habitat and the cab- and probably would have also leaked with the cab tilt to overcome. In all of my years traveling I have never had any issues- especially with big obvious non discreet rigs. Thanks for watching..
Wow looks great, yours looks so big compared to my build I’m very impressed. I think the fact that I had to have the ability to sleep 4 made a big difference in the design. Honestly though, I love the style, the colors and materials and the toilet is great! And you did it at 22,000 lbs that seems very light to me I’ve yet to weigh in but wouldn’t be surprised to see 28k. Congrats my friend you killed it!
Thank you. Yes, probably easier when you are only trying to design for one or a couple. I would be surprised if you got that high of a weight. I think I may have removed 2000 lbs of extra weight from the floor and outriggers on this thing. Plus the rear door delete etc.

@@drivetheglobe Very nice! If I may ask, how much did it cost you to build your rig? When you come back home from your trip, will you start to build these rigs for other people that want to travel too please? Thanks!
awesome! Yes, it doesn't matter what the vehicle is as long as you get out there and explore. And "tiny" compared to most peoples full time living arrangements. Thanks for watching.
Looks like a great build-out. Did you use any special tools in the design to make sure all the systems were taken into consideration and worked/would fit together? Nothing like getting things installed and then realizing you need to run a cable or pipe through an area, or that door clearances wouldn't work etc.
What a fantastic rig! I just started looking for a platform to begin an overland build similar to yours. I've simply gotten too damn old for the expedition trailer with a rooftop tent. Would you mind sharing a rough cost of your build?

You made a home, bravo sir. If your video didn’t mention or show it was a vehicle, i would have thought you were showing off an updated small apartment. I hope you are as proud as so many of us are impressed. The dreams your work has inspired!
Very cool! I’m in the early stages of design/layout of a camper I’m building and was looking at idea cabinets. I know it’s still early on your build but do you have any pros/cons with how they’ve held up or expect to hold up? Thanks again, looks great!

As a Swede 🇸🇪 my self , I’m pretty impressed that furniture from IKEA works in Overland truck(s). What a great job you’ve done !! Drive safe , drive far 🚚💨💨💨
This is a fancy van, I am currently driving around Africa in my 1995 Mitsubishi Delica van and I filmed the entire journey. If I had money I would probably build something like this👌🏿👊🏿👍🏿
Great looking build! I do hope you modify the significant fire hazard of locating your paper towels immediately above the toaster. Imagine waking up weary eyed, toasting some bread and then moving off to do some other task. You then turn around to discover your entire kitchen on fire. Easy fix, just relocate the toaster or towel holder.
Thank you. Funny, you are like the 4th person who mentioned the toaster. Been using it everyday for over a year with no issues. Think it is farther away than it looks in the video.
@@drivetheglobe you're welcome. I'm glad you haven't had any issues yet. Due to my profession I am hardwired to notice hazardous situations and I still see easy fire scenarios though my catastrophe jaded eyes FYI: Scenario 1) the toaster malfunctions and toasts you're food too long (happens more often than you would think), food catches fire, fire goes up and hits the towels and then you really have a fire. Scenario 2) Towel roll gets used by a less than cautious guest while the toaster is toasting, just used roll ends up draping a bit too low and you have a fire Regardless or your fire hazard of a kitchen, I do enjoy what you're doing ;) ... And yes, I know that I can be a persistent pain sometimes, but it's well meant so please don't be offended LOL. Toaster fire: th-cam.com/video/LydIRnb-F1E/w-d-xo.html

Great conversion and thanks so much for including price break downs. It's so hard to even gage what a DIY conversion may cost .
Happy travels ....
Thank you. DIYs certainly can range. I was shooting for a fairly modest build that wasn’t over the top $ wise.
Congratulations, great choice. Similar colour to my Subaru.
Right on!👍
As a Swede 🇸🇪 my self , I’m pretty impressed that furniture from IKEA works in Overland truck(s).
What a great job you’ve done !!
Drive safe , drive far 🚚💨💨💨
Thank you very much! And I am loving the Ikea stuff!
The inside is very pretty. Doesn’t really look like something an outdoors man would be content living in !
I spend most of My time outdoors. Decided not to feel like that all the time.
This is a fancy van, I am currently driving around Africa in my 1995 Mitsubishi Delica van and I filmed the entire journey. If I had money I would probably build something like this👌🏿👊🏿👍🏿
Love it! Beat of luck.
@@drivetheglobe Many thanks, have a look👌🏿👊🏿👍🏿
Extremely dope love the orange chairs
Thanks. They do match 🧡
Flipped a duece and a half lol I love this man
Thanks for watching
Fantastic!! Very thoughtful and intentional. Beautiful!!
Thank you, really appreciate it.
The bathroom part was most impressive part imo
And it is often overlooked. Thanks for watching.

Glad you like it, thanks for watching.
The more research I do on a home on wheels, the more I think a military truck is my best bet. I want something I can take comfortably to the territories in Canada.
They are a good option
This is like your nest setting. Good job.
Thank you!
By far the best motor home, mainly coz toilet and shower are seperated. It legit looks super spacious to me, i would go for it. Only thing I hate about all motor home is the issue of toilet, it just doesnt feel as good as one at home, that is the only let down
Ha. Gotta agree about the toilet!! Thanks for watching.
