Then there's the laxatives and/or enema, but that's it. 48 hours??? Then another 12??? AND this is knowing you're breastfeeding still. geezz. Sucks to have that doctor for sure. Hope you get well the soonest, Abby! 💕

Yeah, I was thinking 48 hours without food didn’t sound right. I’ve heard of maybe no eating 12 to 24 hours before a surgery at most, but never 48. I don’t understand why that doctor would make someone go through that unnecessarily when it could’ve been so much shorter. I’m so sorry Abby had to go through that. She’s so strong and seemed to have such a good attitude about it too. I definitely would not have done well in that situation. She’s awesome. And Matt was so cool for being so helpful and patient. You guys are a good team.
As a med student i too have never seen anyone fasting for 2 days together. Your sugars could get messed up, you need stores to recover from surgery too and 2 days are too much to fast before undergoing stress in the form of surgery. Fasting is done for 8-12 hours.
the recent editing game has been super dope Matt! love the little voiceover style and then a video edition lol, it shows some bts😂Abby is SO strong, glad she is healing well from this surgery🤗☺️
I can't believe they made you fast for 48 hours just because the surgeon was strict! On top of that you're breastfeeding a baby, when your food means the most! So glad you got through it all
Abby, you are a fantastic girl because of all the things you do. Matt, you are so supportive and a great guy. I am glad the surgery went well and Griffin can continue to feed.
I've never had to fast anywhere near that long, and I've had a lot of surgeries! That's crazy to ask a breastfeeding mother to do so, unnecessarily risking her milk supply.
Awe Abby you are such a sweetheart and so are you Matt. Just love watching you guys. I laughed so hard when I first seen the after surgery comments on Instagram. Still really funny. I’m so glad it’s all over and you are done abby. Stay strong mama. Matt you are husband/father of the year. Keep it you you too.
Yeahhh I thought 48 hours seemed a little bit odd…. I’d be pissed, that’s extremely unhealthy for a nursing mother. Poor Abby. She is so strong for going through all of that!
The same surgeon told her not to medicate after, because of feeding which was wrong. Pharmacists have been calling it out. Saying it's safe to breastfeed and use the pain relief but she went cold turkey without it.
I had to fast before a surgery. I fasted for 11 days with just water intake for weight loss. If you do it right, it works. If you be a pig afterwards, you’ll just gain everything back. But anyways, I’m glad everything went ok🙏🏼 you two are the cutest and Griffen is such a precious baby❤️
Yeah, my mom is having surgery soon and she only is going to fast for 11 hours because she’ll be asleep for most of a bit, but Abby’s surgery is more intense so I don’t know
Jeeze, what an ordeal. Abby was a champ. And how could the bill be so much? I'd have someone review it. My total knee replacement was $59,000. Anyway, cheering on Abby for a full recovery. And Matt, you were a true husband.
6:10 is very relatable because my dad apparently gets everything wrong when he goes to the store and by this point im surprised my mom still sends him to the store anymore. the way abby pranked matt was so funny!
Yeah… usually with those types of surgery you start early with the packets to clean everything out and they advice you to skip certain foods, but the actual fasting is indeed about 8 hours. Also, yes drinking water should be very limited, but you can flush your mouth. So it’s not too uncomfortable. Some people can’t go without their medication and need a bit of water to take them. Usually that’s fine if you talk with your surgeon and discuss it well. This doctor was extremely precautious… poor Abby
I couldn't imagine not being able to eat for that long! A couple weeks ago me, my mom, and my aunt went to Salem, and I had nothing to eat from 9:00 until 7 o'clock, and I was starving. If I ever have to have a surgery like this, don't talk to me because I get really really grumpy when im hungry, which I noticed a couple weeks ago. I got that from my dad. I hope you have a good day! Love you guys! 😊❤
Hope you're feeling better Abby I have did surgery on my colon where I could not eat for 2 days or drink for 24 hours it was hell pure hell so I can only imagine what you felt like being a breastfeeding mom hopefully you get back here normal self fast and got us quick recovery in the last part of that video had me cracking up
When I saw the colour of the Jello and the popsicles I thought, why was she allowed those colours in her intake of the liquid only? Why I’m asking is that a month ago I had a colonoscopy done and basically I was on a liquid only diet for 48hrs, but I wasn’t allowed to have certain colours in my drink. Medical procedures are so weird to go threw in preparing for them. Well, thankfully it’s all over with now and Abbey sounds terrific!! Have a great week!!😍
I know how Abby feels because I had a lot of surgery and I’ve had to go without food and we have water and it’s really hard to go without them just know I’m right by your side when you’re in tough times with like surgery and stuff❤❤❤❤❤❤
I’m happy you made it through. I was also surprised when you said she could not eat anything for 48h. I could not eat anything from midnight before the surgery but could have an apple juice or water. You’re very strong!!! And I know what it feels like to be scared just before the surgery. I’m only 13 years old and I’ve already had 3 surgeries: two in the mouth and one in the eyes. I cried every time I had a surgery. I had the two surgeries in the mouth when I was 11 and 12 years old. I could not eat any hard things for one week after the surgery, so in total, for 14 days I could only eat things like yogurt or smoothies and things like that. It was hard seeing my family eat the things I liked to eat while I ate soft things for 7 days. Then I had my eye surgery very young: 8 years old. I cried right after the surgery because I could not see my mom or dad and my mom cried too. I still have to do another surgery in the eyes when I’m 16 so… I just wanted to say that Abby is very strong and I k is what she felt…
Abby does really good with things like this you are strong Abby and Matt you are the best dad ever and Abby you are the best mom you guys are the best parents ever I can tell though the camera love you guys
I know how u felt while u had to fast and having a cold and not been able to have any food for 2 days sucks then fasting completely is bad as I’ve had an an incredible amount of surgery’s I can say on my right ankle along there has been about 42 so that’s only fasting but anything bowl related I too have to fast for 48 hours every time which sucks then the bowl prep drinks to empty everything from u is so bad. THE END HAD ME DYING!! I probably would of had the same reaction haha! Love watching your videos! Enjoy your Halloween!
Abby, since having a baby is an amazing version of herself . The confident woman that she has turned into is fantastic to see!
Matt you are such great husband and Abby you are so strong how did you do that ❤
Praying for you Abby. Wishing you a speedy recovery. Sending lots of love your way. 🤍🙏✝️
Sending strenght to Abby and Matt , you both are really strong and i know u got this. The ending is just the best.
i felt extra bad for abby when he said that she could've just fasted for 8 hours instead of 2 whole days, i hope she's feeling better now.
Abby you were such a brave soul. Hope you are recovering strong and still being cautious. Great team ou Matt and your beautiful mom made. Take Care
Good luck to your family! Love your channel!
I just found y’all and I love y’all Matt is hilarious 😭😭😭
O.m.g! No wonder she was so upset! That Doctor was crazy! 48 hours AND the fact that she is a breast feeding that Doctor was OUT OF LINE!!
48hrs? I've never heard of that. Usually 8hrs, 12hrs max. 48hrs just seems very unesseesary.
Yeah, my mom is having surgery soon and she only is going to fast for 11 hours because she’ll be asleep for most of a bit, but Abby’s surgery is more intense so I don’t know
Abby is such a trooper!! Love you guys, thanks for always making my day!!
Jeeze, what an ordeal. Abby was a champ. And how could the bill be so much? I'd have someone review it. My total knee replacement was $59,000. Anyway, cheering on Abby for a full recovery. And Matt, you were a true husband.
Abby you are so brave and I admire how strong you are
6:10 is very relatable because my dad apparently gets everything wrong when he goes to the store and by this point im surprised my mom still sends him to the store anymore. the way abby pranked matt was so funny!
I'm glad you are doing much better. You are a strong woman. You both got this.
This doctor was extremely precautious… poor Abby
you are so strong and i will remember you guys in my prayers! i love your little family and look forward to these videos! ❤❤❤
Honey is what we called my grandma❤️ she was as sweet as honey! 10/10 recommend sticking with that for her!
Hope you're feeling better Abby I have did surgery on my colon where I could not eat for 2 days or drink for 24 hours it was hell pure hell so I can only imagine what you felt like being a breastfeeding mom hopefully you get back here normal self fast and got us quick recovery in the last part of that video had me cracking up
Matt you are a wonderful husband, you are so caring and are supportive, You should be so proud of yourself. Baby you are so sweet.
she was soo strong i could never love the ending sending all m love ❤😘
first,Good luck abby hope you do well! Matt take very good care of her!❤️❤️#teamABBY
You guys are the BEST couple on youtube imo! Love from New Zealand!
I use this video to relax me because it is so heart warming. Abby your amazing ❤❤❤❤
Abby is so strong she is a amazing mom and Matt is such a amazing dad love you all💗💗💗
I know how Abby feels because I had a lot of surgery and I’ve had to go without food and we have water and it’s really hard to go without them just know I’m right by your side when you’re in tough times with like surgery and stuff❤❤❤❤❤❤
When Matt said it rained and it never rains because they live in the desert I live in Florida it rains like every single day multiple times a day
Good luck to you all love you guys!!! ❤💜🤍
Bro people do this for Ramadan for 30 days imagine❤❤❤ good job Abby you strong
I have a story time ONCE I HAD TOO DO THAT FOR 1 DAY but God bless Abby for doing it for two she's just an absolute angel 😇
U are sooo strong Abby!!! Great job matt... U took so great care of her!!
I still have to do another surgery in the eyes when I’m 16 so…
I just wanted to say that Abby is very strong and I k is what she felt…
Abby does really good with things like this you are strong Abby and Matt you are the best dad ever and Abby you are the best mom you guys are the best parents ever I can tell though the camera love you guys
Ugh like Matt said you're a super mom. Ily guys. All moms are super moms
I don’t know what it’s like to be feeding ur baby and going though what u had to do so Abby u are just incredible and did extremely well to get though ur 48 hour fast I’m so happy ur surgery went well and ur milk supply picked right back up for u after u started drinking and eating again just remember U ARE ONE HELL OF A TRUPER U ARE JUST INCREDIBLE U DID FANTASTIC IN UR RECOVERY UR AMAZING!!!!!!!!
I love it when u were talking to Matt and asked if he talked to the surgeon and Matt said yes everything was good ur reply did u kind of think he was a “Dick” that made me laugh so much u will be able to laugh at that comment for ever which is fantastic I loved it 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
