PLEASE make this a regular thing with all the sisters-in-law! I love your guys' personalities, and it's so lovely to see a healthy conversation of listening to each other, respecting each other, and loving each other
HANDS DOWN my favorite episode of the podcast ever! It was so uplifting. I want more of these. The girls should have their own podcast or at least do a quarterly episode!!
Abigail is so sweet and fun! She seems a person to have those conversations filled with laughter but also serious ones where you can get emotional and feeling supported/loved by her💛
Having a close, healthy, and emotionally intelligent relationship with sister in laws is such a blessing and it is rare. Be grateful for that connection everyday because there are so many people that wish they could have that kind of closeness and understanding without having to sacrifice their mental and emotional wellbeing.
I resonate so much with Addy on wanting to be a working mom. I got my pregnant at the end of my OT Doctorate program and clearly envisioned myself working with patients part-time and having something to focus on outside of kids. Then once my son was born and I had to go back to work at 4 months PP I realized how much I didn’t want that anymore! It’s totally ok for your wants to evolve, and kids will only be babies for so long. If you end up changing your feelings Addy - your job will always be there ❤
Currently in my last year of my doctorate to become a nurse practitioner and just gave birth to our first child. Before our daughter I was all about being a girl boss and was driven by career and now I just want to be a stay at home mom 🥲
Absolutely agree. We just had our first baby in April and I can't imagine having to hand him over to someone every day so I can go work. Being home with him everyday isn't easy but I wouldn't have it any other way
@@aliciajagoit’s crazy how fast the desire can shift, but I feel like there is so much power in listening to your gut and following that instinct. Patients will literally always be there right? That’s what I tell myself. We can be bosses one day but what’s more important than being fully present as a mom? 🫶🏽 congrats on your baby and your program! So cool.
I have always loved the fact that their relationship is so genuine and pure, and the fact that they might be in-laws, for example between Abby and Addy. It is so sweet for Matt and Abby to hire their sister in law as an assistant, and always a good work life balance, and picking up a good boundary line between each other, which is very necessary.
I love the individual personality/supportive strength from each of these woman. Great examples of in-laws loving life together. Please share more of this!
Abigail more people then you know are in the position that you were in congratulations on making it to a better place!!!I’m very interested in your story would love to hear your perspective and how you handled things I’m in the situation now and no one talks about it so this was great to hear! ❤
I love that abby talks about how its okay to do things because you need to save money. My bf and I are looking at lab grown rings because we will be able to do more for a wedding and a house! Idc about jewelry but people have big opinions on it.
I was Addy - a corporate girly! Got my masters, loved working in corporate until I got pregnant :D and I have ZERO desire to be a corporate girly as it is so demanding, constant traveling and realistically either work or child or home (sleep, marriage, housework) will get less attention and now I want to just be with my baby!!! I left my corporate job right before I gave birth and got a more flexible, home office, less demanding job
Honestly same! My baby is due any day, but as soon as I got pregnant my brain flipped a 180. I used to not be able to comprehend someone wanting to be a stay at home mom, now all I want is to stay at home and raise my baby. It's wild.
Love how you spoke about struggling in arguments and trying to communicate I feel like I struggle so much and this made me feel like I wasn’t alone 🫶 love the girls pod
My sister in-law and I have the same 1st name, just spelled differently, and married identitcal twin brothers. When family is speaking about us we're "Pete's Laura" or "Pat's Lora" to clarify who they're speaking about.
You guys should do this more often. I'm a couple weeks behind on watching the podcasts. I really liked this one. It's nice to have great sisters in law!!
I’m so jealous 😢, I am an only child and never found a guy and I’m 38 years old and will never be able to have people like you guys have in my life!!!! YOU GUYS ARE SO LUCKY!!!
Super interesting to kind of learn more about the work/family balance. Working with family can be super stressful and at times not end well. I love that you've found what works for all involved ❤
I can so relate to Abigail and her personality/wisdom! I feel like we’re on the same wavelength with convictions and things. Loved this girl podcast. I had to watch it vs listen on Apple Podcasts so I could know who’s talking and it was much more fun this way 😅
13:06 the cousin talk, for my cousins, we were so close. Some of them lived really close others across the country, but we lived near my grandparents so we got to love near them when the cousins visited. We had so many!
WHAT’S UP DUDE… Hey Matt and Abby , I hope you are doing amazing. I love your podcast and I love watching/listening to y’all talk about anything and everything and I love how the conversation changes throughout the episode. Sometimes I wish I could like call in and ask you a question or have you elaborate on the topic your on. But I’m more of a silent listener and I just wanted to share my appreciation to you and your family business. Keep being you!! ❤ sending much love!!
I rarely ever comment on any videos or podcasts but the Lord convicted me to just let you know how much of a positive impact you all have especially on young woman, this podcast was so refreshing and inspiring
Love what y’all said about husbands and respect. Not a common view in our day and age, but it is so important to respect our husbands and not let other people disrespect them.
I had my first 6.5 years ago. Then two more kiddos followed. I’m just now starting to figure out what I enjoy, used to enjoy etc. we don’t have family close by, we don’t have a village and I do think that makes such a difference.
This has been my favorite episode! Such wisdom from all of you in many different areas! Love seeing y’all’s relationships with each other and how you all build each other up in truth and love!
I absolutely enjoyed this episode!!! I had a close relationship with my sister in law and mother in law and unfortunately the whole family got in a disagreement and we never fully recovered from it. I sill cry thinking of the visions I had of the kids growing up as close cousins and knowing it won't happen just breaks my heart for my kids as I was close to mine.
Probably in the fact that the poor girl was getting ignored smh I get it that the two Abby’s may have more in common but they could’ve did better to ask her questions
The fact that Addy said she used to feel bad about her relationship when she had been around Abby and Matt is the exact words my sister in law said about her and her husband's relationship after being around my husband and I...
I do not want this to sound mean but I had a hard time listening to this video because everyone was saying "like" so much. I love Abby and Matt and watch the videos every time. This one was hard to get through.
Haha my husband is so similar to Abigail’s husband! Very straight forward and doesn’t sugar coat anything LOL. Must be a “oldest brother” type of personality 😂 I love it though because I know he’s always honest!
Wow I loved this episode!! Felt like I was listening to some girl friends have a chat. I felt like you girls had some golden nuggets of wisdom to impart and I feel like I took a lot away to implement into my own life :)
Ignore the fact that I’m posting from my boyfriend’s account, but maybe you guys should seriously consider doing a podcast with the three of you. I really enjoyed this episode and would LOVE to see more! 💜
Really loved this episode. You guys have an amazing bond. It's really encouraged me to reach out and make more of an effort in my social life. Thanks for that 😊
Got married at 22, hubby was 23. I can relate to the older sister blazing the way.. my brother was 20 and his wife was 21 when they got married. How do you not know what happens at a strip club? Her innocence as an adult shocks me sometimes. Maybe this is what growing up in a healthy family is like but I felt that was common knowledge once you’ve been an adult for awhile.

Where can I find friends like you guys??! I live in Spain and people here just never invite you to things, they’re super closed with friends, they don’t open up, etc. I’ve been living here for 2 years since I’m studying at university, but so far no girlfriends as they really do prefer to drink a bunch and party constantly, and it makes me feel like I’m the crazy one for just wanting to chat?
