Why i got the Ultimate Edition for me and a close friend: we are big DB fans and the game looks to be the best DB game ever made up to this point.
King of arena fighter if it get players who never seen dragon ball to play like me with budokai tenkachi then game of the year material.

I think they have done nothing but actually listen to us. They added split screen because of our complaints and they surprisingly added almost all the characters and I think we were initially told there would only be 130 characters and now we have 182. So far they are doing amazing

I'm not gonna lie, when I first heard about this last year back in 2023 in March I think i was excited but I wasn't like "day 1." Then I just didn't stay up to date at all. Not until the GT trailer. I don't know about day 1, I might if I'm not too busy, but DAMN! SSJ4 Goku! That's why I'm getting it and of course SSJ4 Gogeta! I wanna make a custom fight or scene or whatever it's called against SSJ4 Goku and Beerus or Jiren. Idk, GT is superior to Super in design and character. Just imagine SSJ4 Blue form, that would go so hard!!!!!!! I can't wait to play this. This better not dissapoint

The game still neeeds work but they are definitely still adding things and fixing it even before the first dlc patch. So im definitely satisfied with what im seeing. I hope we get a Budokai 4, i miss the stage damage transitions, 2d-3d fighting style. But until then this is peak! 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥

I'm pretty excited for it too. I just hope it has alot of single player content, since thats what i played Budokai Tenchichi 3 for and Xenoverse 2.
I know they have custom battles but i hope thats not all there is after the story.
There's that, special battles, and a tournament mode so that outta hold people over. Also being able to download other people's created stories will do wonders for his game's longevity in terms of single player content.

The story has been changed within episodes characters have these episodes and the story can change by the choices you make and it’s got what if so don’t worry mate it won’t be the same story over and over again unless you accidentally make it the same story over and over again

Last dragonballz game I bought was kakarot it was decent..I couldn't really get into xenoverse the characters looked so oily, sparking zero giving me them old vibes on budoki tenkachi dat I loved
Even though i do think it could be a contender for game of the year it wouldn’t surprise me if it lost to the son wukong game. And since arena fighters haven’t been liked in a while a lot of people who aren’t dragon ball fans might not want to play the game

the biggest differences for me in this compared to bt3 and i played bt3 for years xD. 1 this game like u said is everything i wanted bt3 to be. SZ looks like its cut straight out the anime and im talking gameplay. 2 in bt3 i played mainly as like 70 of the characters. id try out everyone else now and again but alot of characters i never touched like guldo. SZ presentation makes me want to literally play as everyone maybe except for mr.satan xD. ive already made ten different themed teams for when this SZ and im thinking of more. this is gonna be an epic sparktober.

they had to cut down somewhere for a 182 roster on launch. It's wishful thinking they'll add a couple free ones shortly after release, but I'll buy whatever DLC stage packs they might do in the future
I definitely don’t think it’ll be a game of the year title. It looks amazing and all but it just doesn’t have anything special to it when compared to other games this year. It’s just a new dbz game with a shiny coat of paint.

2. I don't like a lot of the character choices in this game (They'll shoving super & diama down our throats)
3. Everyone from tenkaichi 3 not returing is absolute BS
4. They'll gonna nickel & dime with DLC just like xenoverse & kakarot

No game should be made for the ps4 anymore. Unless you want a half ass looking game.

Sorry to hear that. The base roster for Sparking Zero is already more than BT3, so you don't even need DLC. I hope you can at least get your hands on a Series S, just so you don't miss out.
1. Its on PC aswell, but if you don't have that either than I'm sorry to hear that and hope you can sometime get your hands on a PS5!
2. How are they shoving super down our throats? Would you prefer them to not add any new characters?? Because that wouldn't make sense. and they haven't done anything extra with daima + its toriyama's last project before he died, learn to respect it and give it a chance
3. Most of the less popular Characters in tenkaichi 3 had the same movesets (one of few examples: Great Apes), so it was probably necessary for them to take it out to avoid less clutter. Every character (including each of their separate forms) in this game has a unique moveset (to my knowledge), and the fact that theres 182 characters with that in mind is IMPRESSIVE, not to mention its more than BT3. Although i do think more of OG Dragon ball characters should be in the game
4. The only DLCs in the game are Daima and Super: Super Hero, which isn't "nickle and dime" at all. You clearly don't like daima anyways, and Super: Super Hero being DLC makes sense. Do NOT compare it to Kakarot OR Xenoverse because their games are 10 times worse 😭FighterZ having BASE GOKU AND BASE VEGETA as DLC is 10 times worse than what Sparking Zero is doing. Xenoverse 2 has 131 Characters COUNTING DLC, and Sparking Zero without DLC has 182, even more than Budokai Tenkaichi 3. With all of these characters in the game, It's hard to say whether they will have more than 3 DLC's 🤷♂
The dlc is very affordable especially because it includes 20+ characters. I don't feel like super & daima are being forced on us. I think you should give it a chance, if you played the Tenkaichi series (not ultimate) its a must 🫡
I feel very bad any other future anime game. It has to measure up to this behemoth of a game.
Hopefully it's a wake up call to anime game devs
