I really loved this video. At first, like other commenters, I thought the inspiration outfit was a bit, well, uninspired. But that’s why the video was so good. It provided the foundation for showing us how to interpret a style rather than just copy it - which is, of course, much of what Alyssa’s channel is all about after all. Kind of along the vein of teaching someone to fish rather than catching the fish for them, there were really great technical take-aways from this video that I will use, even as a woman in my early 60s who is on an evolving style journey. Not to mention, I love to see these young woman business owners supporting, elevating and complementing each other’s content. It’s not only smart business, but it also demonstrates that this model of professional collaboration is a strong, successful (and preferred IMO) alternative to the old models of direct competition. Wishing you all much continued success.
Even though the chosen outfit was not my jam this was a fun video to see the three of you styling the same outfit! Very different takes with a limited travel wardrobe. Good jobs!

Even though I'm petite, I loved the inspiration outfit, the three interpretations, and am already thinking of my own interpretation!
Thanks for an inspiring interpretation of an unusual silhouette and layered look that many would bypass or diss just because it is oversized.
What we always have to remember is proportions, something Alyssa speaks of frequently in her videos.
All 3 of you looked very different because of your unique pieces, the colours, and the subtle differences in the cut of the blazers, which really was pronounced once Alyssa wore her interpretation.
I own many blazers and now I’m inspired to create my interpretation with what I already own!

Thank you Alyssa! I have thrifted all 4 of these pieces (oversized periwinkle blazer with black buttons, dark wash wide leg jean, oversized white button down, pointy pattern leather boot). NEVER IN A THOUSAND YEARS would I try them all together. Going to try this out today and challenge myself to wear it out. 💙 enjoy the rest of your trip!
Unlike some comments below I actually liked the outfit, specially Signe’s version. Also, I wanna say, I love Alyssa’s hair in this video.
I’d like to see a shop your closet that includes patterns and other colors besides neutrals. I find those the most challenging to recreate when I don’t have something like it. It’s easy for anyone to recreate this look because it’s a big white shirt and blue jeans.

I think part of why I love this is because the inspiration pic isn't my style per se - it stretches me out of my comfort zone but in a way where I can choose what element(s) work for . I can see how to open my mind when looking for and styling different options ❤
Like the idea of collaboration but the inspiration look is ‘sad-sack’. Feels like it is saying , “I dressed out of Daddy’s closet.”
In ten years I bet you will say, ‘Did I really think this looked good?”
I loved your version of this outfit Alyssa. I'm Petite and don't like oversized clothing. However, I have versions of all of your items. I much prefer the more tailored jacket 😍 I think everyones take on this look was so interesting, bringing individualism to a layed back, relaxed look. I wear the shirts untucked and open with a t shirt underneath. Never thought to put a blazer over that! Thank you! It is so fun to shop your closet, when you have the right basics to use with them!

After following you for a number of years and being an attendee at all of your Live Studio Sessions, I feel like I am can create a look INSPIRED by your look. Because I am only 5 ft 2, I need to scale things down a bit. For example, wide leg pants are in but they don’t look great on me. So getting a boot cut still works! I enjoy you three encouraging me to move a little out of my comfort zone.

This was really great! Perhaps you can keep doing this in the future, but in a virtual way… It’s cool, because I had followed all three of you before you entered into your collaboration, so your collaboration makes perfect sense to me!
Not a fan of super-oversized like the inspo’. Like your versions, especially Alyssa’s, or Signe’s with a couple of the middle shirt buttons fastened. Love the version I’d do with clothes in my wardrobe: relaxed white blazer, not-fitted white embroidered shirt, straight jeans, choice of pebble leather heeled lace-up ankle boots with slightly pointed toe/chelsea “bother” boots/chunky black butch leather trainers. I like the casual/formal contrast. My white blazer was a Christmas gift so I’m enjoying “playing with my new toy” finding all the different outfits I can make with it. Wanted it for work/formal events but now I have a more casual styling option 😊

I loved this and the inspiration! I enjoyed you walking through the steps of why the inspo shot styling did not overwhelm her and how the 3 of you made sure you didn't look like a little kid raiding her Mom's closet! I have a big event to attend this Spring several days of art shows and I had resigned myself to one slim proportion but this was perfect for me to see....going to shop my closet tonight. IF you have good recommendations for shoes that can handle being worn on cement floors for hours-drop them in!!!!! I am desperate. I think I look horrid in sneakers!
What about a loafer or ankle boot with a lug sole? Might give your feet more of a 'cushion' and warmth 😊
I must admit that I wasn't keen on the inspo outfit. But I loved all 3 of the outfits that you all came up with.
I particularly loved Signe's sage green blazer against the blue shirt. I wouldn't have thought to put those two colours together but it looks great. Either because pale blue is a sort of neutral like denim? Or perhaps because the strength of the two cplours is the same?
You look all so good and give me so much to learn how to go about styling for myself with the clothes I have. GREAT! 😊

I have been thinking about one of your styling words that you have used in other videos and I want to suggest a different word for YOU.
When you use the word "bombshell" I think of 1950's poster girls and I don't think that's young and modern enough for you. You are very naturally sexy and the word "sultry" is what I could see replacing "bombshell". It's a very nuanced word with warmth, depth, and natural sexiness without going over the top.
Even if you don't take my advice, please take my suggestion as a big compliment! You are fire!!

Thanks, this was interesting. To me, "inspirational" outfit was extremely uninspiring, and initially, as I was watching, I was thinking to myself: why even bother making something so unfortunate even half-palatable (as that seemed impossible), but all of you made interesting versions around it, and it was informative to see, even if the information was something like: yes, this really looks bad. (Sorry, no offence!) And! I actually loved Alyssas version!

Interesting video. But I have a problem with too long trousers that get dirty and even rinkled. Maybe I am too oldfashioned and not the person you are adressing in this video😊
As a short lady I would never feel comfortable in oversized anything. When I saw your inspiration pic, I thought sloppy. She may be tall, but I think it made her look short and frumpy. Oversized blazers or pants in my opinion do not look good on short girls. I am just a little over 5'. You ladies must be much taller! 'Use Less' looked the best when she took off her blazer with just the long shirt exposing her T-shirt. Actually, your combo came in as # 1 best look to me because your denim shirt and blazer are tailored. You can pull off the wide leg jeans because you are tall. We need some short ladies' inspirations. I still enjoyed your video as always.💯
Yes, exactly. I am short and chunky. Oversized anything is a non starter.
Not every look in every video will appeal to every person, or feel right to them on their body. Especially if someone is on the more extreme end of a spectrum (height, weight, etc), and the person in the video isn't. It's unrealistic to expect otherwise.
Sometimes the results has nothing to do with inspo so I’m not sure why even bother to have it in the first place. May as well draw paper pieces out of a hat with words “blazer”, “shirt”, “relaxed” on them…
I’m also surprised that all of you said that you would never think of a shirt under the blazer. I’m not a style influencer and I’ve already tried that untucked unbuttoned shirt under a blazer look last year. Sometimes it feels like influencers just say things to say them to keep the narrative of “I learned something from this”…
Fun video and I'd like to see more. Your breaking down of a look and the tweaks that make it great are so helpful. This "look" does not appeal to me and seems pretty messy overall. Please do more look "deconstructions" but also please consider selecting a more mainstream look that would be practical for many people. Thanks!
Love Love Love the concept and collaboration! But the choice of what to emulate and copy is so very uninspiring.. please choose something stylish if/when you do this again. And I really hope you do more of these. But the silhouette is dismal and depressing. IMHO only.
