Her connection was unique and stunning. p/s: random people must have thought (i was too 😅) Sanne's connection was easy like just a casual walk on beam, but they had no idea how centered she had to be, to execute all those turns that rotate from different direction, if not mastering your self ballance. Thats what makes her routine highly difficult and one of the most memorable and iconic among all
Komova's sheep jump was missing. Also seeing the ring leaps of Pavlova and so many Chinese gymnasts I can't help but wonder how Kara Eaker ever got hers credited
You may not be a native English speaker, so: should have* and recent*. Also, while Simone Biles is the GOAT, she's not the only gymnast deserving of accolades. She absolutely deserves all that she's accomplished, but to ignore the gymnasts who came before her, innovated and revolutionized, and worked just as hard, competed just as strongly - doesn't make sense. We should celebrate ALL the women who make this sport so incredible. 💖
I saw Shawn, Laurie, Gabby, Aly, Alicia just off the top of my head, 2 of which competed with Simone. Not many of these clips are recent, so I don't expect many recent gymnasts, of any nationality. I don't recall seeing Shannon Miller at all and that is the real tragedy here.
Catalina Ponor is one of my all-time favorite beam workers. That one combination just goes on forever.
