Sunday Worship @ BUC - March 17, 2024

Bedford United Church is an affirming congregation! Join us this Sunday as we celebrate being a community who is public, intentional and explicit about our support and allyship to the Rainbow Family.
We welcome members of our Inclusivity Team and guest speaker Eric MacDonald, who will share his reflections on the death of Nex Benedict, and the unique threat that transgendered people face today.
Following worship, the final ‘I Wonder’ Conversation will take place 11:30-12:30, in the Porch. There will be 2 discussion groups focused on Social Justice and Action.
1. “The United Church and Israel/Palestine” will be facilitated by Bill Chambre and Linda Scherzinger. Bill has recently returned as an Ecumenical Accompanier in both the South Hebron Hills in the West Bank and in East Jerusalem. Linda is a member of St. Andrews UC and the Bermuda Nova Scotia Region Justice, Mission & Outreach Committee. They are both very familiar with the United Church response to Israel/Palestine and to the Israel/Hamas war and devastation of Gaza.
2. “BUC’s Action on Homelessness” will be facilitated by Jayne Wark and Karen Parnell, members of BUC’s Outreach Team.
