@@loonee2968I want to go to one but idk if they let 16y/o go and my dad doesn’t want me to go or doesn’t let me. I also want to take ASL classes but he doesn’t let me
You are the greatest. I don't have someone to practice with.. Also, this is so much less stressful for us beginners. You can do as many of these as you want They are a blessing 😊😊
I am a student learning Japanese sign language I am learning sign language in VR Your sign language is very easy to understand and very helpful! Please keep up the good work!
This was a perfect quiz and test of my skills, I got 4 out of five if you give me leeway but I’m proud of myself for learning so much! Thank you so much for making this possible I am so grateful to have the ability to learn from you!
That was a great way to learn a basic conversation. Can you do another quiz like this for a deaf coffee/ deaf chat? I have been going to a deaf chat and can't interpret everything they are signing. This was great, and I would love to see more quizzes like this.
@@gardeniagirl1374 Thank you for the advice. I have been going to my nearest Starbucks, and I could pick up on some things but, I can't pick up a whole conversation, so I think I need a video that can teach me of basic conversation used in a deaf coffee, just so I know what to expect.
Hello, Meredith! I’d like to suggest, for a future video, the topic of distinguishing similar signs. For example: clean, paper, and school. Not that I’d ever confuse “hamburger” for “husband”, but I think it would still be helpful to see various signs like these (that are quite similar) given some special attention. Perhaps even show us some sentences to help us remember their distinctive characteristics (for example, “Would your husband also like a hamburger?” Or, “I need a nice clean sheet of paper for my school project.”) Cheers & Thanks! -Phill
Thank you for this Quiz! I got Carrie and then thought it was Liz, didn't get Traci. Got 3 and 4 correct then part of 5 which is the Go to_____to chat. This is such a great way to learn!
Meredith i love videos like this. Help me a lot as Im slowly going deaf and if i come across others who r deaf. conversational quizzes be great. names like what you done, working in kitchen together, talking different foods, measurements, utensils etc. Basic daily conversation. i love this ty so much
I slowed this down and understoood most of it except for a few signs I did not know. 1. Their names are Carrie and Laura. 2. I did not catch that. 3. If she was Hearing 4. She is a student and still learning. 5. I don't know. That was one of the signs I did not catch. Yes, I would like more of these, thank you. Some of your signs are regional. :) I love that. People don't usually think of ASL having "accents."
Here are my answers: 1. I think their names are Carrie and Laura 2. Carrie's teacher is Traci, but I didn't know they were talking about Carrie's teacher. 3. Laura asks Carrie if she is hearing 4. I think Laura said she is a slow learner 5. I have no idea
I am having a hard time with which hand to use. I know you should stick to the dominant hand, but I’m ambidextrous. As a small child my brother was nonverbal, he is left handed. My mother who was teaching us is right handed. Thus I have a bad habit of switching hands, especially on days where my disability makes it hard to use them. Is it very confusing for others if I’m switching back and forth?

I have been watching your videos for a few months, and they have helped me learn a lot! One question I've had for awhile, what if you only have one hand available? Like you're holding something and can't use both hands.
I would love to learn ASL but no one around here teaches it. I have to drive 8 hours out of town in order to find a class. Do you have more videos that are conversating videos like this? That tell you what each sign means and how to use it.?
Not bad at all! I couldn't follow the fingerspelling portion, but I did answer the last three correctly. I'm happy with my progress so far. :) Thanks for these videos!
Hi M! I liked this quiz! I understood it. I have a q if someone can answer - are the signs “I understand” and “right” (Y shape yes) interchangeable? Love this channel 🤟

I found out that you don't have a certified interpreter because I checked on you. Lots of deaf people are compliant that you advantage deaf community for money. Shame on you. I hope the deaf community will work together to remove you!
That’s a great help while trying to learn ASL! I don’t have anyone to sign with, so these kind of conversations are great for practice. Thank you.

Somehow, I misread “Traci” as “Mordechai”. No idea how I managed to do that.
