Nobody appreciates the two “Grumpy Old Men” movies as much as they should. They, as aimed towards them, told a story that touched the “Greatest Generation”, and helped them better understand who they really were in their later years in life and that they could still seek out and find happiness. There was no dopey advertising. Nobody in capes. Nothing CGi’d. These movies aimed to touch the hearts of people directly, by way of subdued correlation. They were real and familiar, and that’s why they mattered. It also helped that they had some of the greatest actors/best friends (both on and off-screen) of a generation playing in them.
When either of these movies comes on......I stop........and watch them. I don't understand why, they make me laugh, make me cry, make me feel good, make me feel humanity. I love these movies more than I could ever explain. These are the type of movies that make you a better person for watching them. I'm gonna go pop in my blu ray 2 dvd set now. TTYL
Damn i love these 2 movies, What an amazing chemistry Walter Matthau and Jack Lemmon had. Now with Burgess Meredith Sprinkled in for that gruff, dont take no shit from nobody attitude and magical foul witt, to me these movies were a staple in my childhood. RIP you Grumpy Old Lovable Men.
Loved these movies. Made me laugh and cry. And the outtakes, absolutely hilarious. Jack, Walter and Burgess absolutely broke the mold. The pranks that they played on each other in Grumpy Old Men had me rolling.
A couple of my all time favorite movies. I saw them both in the theater. They are so nostalgic to me. Always give me a warm and fuzzy feeling. They did such a good job making you love all the characters and even really want the story to continue even after the third. Maybe it is time for a continuation. Maybe Grumpy Old Women and the wives could get into or something.
Listen to me Johnny, Im 96 years old, Ive never excercised a day in my life, In the Morning I wake up and eat 5 strips of Bacon and smoke a cigarette, for Lunch i eat a Bacon Sandwich and for a Mid Day Snack, Bacon, yes bacon a whole Damn plate full and i usually eat my dinner. According to them flat belly experts i shouldve take a dirt nap like 30 years ago, but i keep waving and they keep Dying, Sometimes i wonder if Gods forgot about me, its just goes to show you. "What"...Huh, "Well you said it just goes to show ya"...it just goes to show you what the hell you talking about ? "Well you said you drink beer, smoke cigarettes and drink beer" Yeah ?! "I thought maybe there was some morale too your story" No there aint no Morale, I just like that Story, I like That Story. Best exchange ive ever heard lol.....

Ennyire GYÖNYÖRŰ zenei összeállítást a "Szomszén Nője Mindíg Zöldebb" című filmhez még sosem hallottam, pedig sokszor kerestem, és sokszor találtam. De ilyet... Egy ilyen összeállítás, ilyen sok évvel a film után, eszméletlen munka lehetett, csodállak érte! Le a kalappal!!! Egy "A Szomszéd Nője Mindíg Zöldebb" örökös rajongó :)
Nagyon ritka ez a soundtrack és amikor megtaláltam, rögtön arra gondoltam, hogy érdemes lenne megosztani a néppel. Egy seggfej diszlájkolta, szerencsétlen balfasznak ez legyen a legnagyobb öröme. Nem olyan jó a minősége, de mert nagyon szeretem a filmeket, így mindig boldogan hallgatom Alan Silvestri kedves taktusait. Lett volna még egy harmadik rész is, amiben hőseink Maria (Sophia Loren) olaszországi volt férjéhez utaztak volna látogatóba. Ha jól emlékszem, Tony Curtisnek szánták a szerepet.
