Just started learning about credit myself a couple years ago. Just a few tips for those wanting to build:
Start off with a secured credit card, Keep your utilization down below 9% of your max each month, NEVER miss a payment. Using your card to "shop" is nonsense, it should mainly be used for small purchases such as gas, groceries etc...
TH-cam is the new school, so instead of depending on school teachers to teach us, learn everything you can from here. Then cycle and provide this information to our youth.

It can go pass 9% but not over I think it was 15% that can mess you up bad

Julian Moran utilization is 30% of overall fico score, if you are trying to increase credit score or get high limit cards 9% or less is the best way.

Andre Norrils while this is possible, getting a home loan with no credit history is difficult. with no credit history it automatically makes you a high risk investment. most companies will outright deny you for not having credit history or too short of a credit history.
The only way I know to get a no credit history loan is to more than likely go to a small lender as they are more flexible in general. credit unions, small banks, small lenders. FHA loans are your best route as I do not see a company approving you for a conventional with no credit. home loans are a big risk, so you're going to get a high rate for sure. its easier and better just to build some credit.

No Debit cards report to credit bureaus. That's one of the major differences between credit and debit. Although Russel was trying to build a reporting agency for Rush cards because people are building history with paying their rents and other bills on time using Rush Cards, so they should get credit for that.

Listen to Grant Cardone not Dave Ramsey like he said debt is not your problem income is the more income I have the more I can handle debt . My dad was a big Dave Ramsey listener so all my life he taught me to pay cash for everything so I did like my cars and I never used checks or credit cards. The problem with that is one day you want to buy a home or start a buisness but I couldn't get approved for one because I didn't have enough credit established I had a low score and now my dad is a business owner with many credit cards what he should have done when I was younger was teach me how to be responsible with credit cards and build your credit not everybody has $200,000 lying around to buy a house cash and nowadays you need credit to get an apartment you need credit to get a great job you have to have good credit in your life. Even if you can pay cash for everything you should still have some good established credit. So I don't worry about debt anymore I just worry about bringing up my income to be able to handle that. All the billionaires in the world use credit you get free flyer mileage points and a bunch of great benefits. Coca-Cola caterpillar Apple Etc. Have more debt than they have income because they know they can handle their debt it's about education debt is not a bad thing. Cash is not King as soon as you give your money to the bank they immediately turned it into a digit and lend it out to other people. Do not be duped by Dave Ramsey trust me the studio that owns Dave Ramsey uses debt to fund him.

You shouldn't do that if the debt is actually yours. I'm looking to buy a house and lenders do not like to see disputes that are actually yours. If it's a fraud issue then it's okay to dispute. Tricking the system only works in certain situations. Believe me I'm 25 and I'm rebuilding my credit. There's so much to learn.

Some words of advice about credit: pay your bills on time, ideally pay your entire credit card balance each month, or don't let your credit card balance go over 30% of your balance (research this for the correct info.), and check your credit report yearly. Use a free credit report site for this.

Believe or not, Fingerhut and other store cards help boost your credit. Once you buy something, they automatically boost your limit in which improves your debt ratio.

I think you should get one and be smart about it. As soon as you use it, pay it off, and keep your balance low. Having it on your credit file and in good standing will be beneficial to you :)

    • @ddavis8988

those who tell you not to get a credit card are just scared of credit. its the old way of thinking. people don't understand it, dont want to learn how to understand it so they just tell the kids not to get one. you should definitely have one, just use it responsibly.

how to get credit to begin with? how do you get credit if you never had it. do you shop in Fingerhut? what is credit? oh well my screen says an error occurred please try again so I only heard3-4minutes worth. yes they say the more you check your score the lower your score will be. I checked one time in my life but had to jump thru so many hoops just to check it. don't know what the score was but I do know that never having credit to begin with is worst then having bad credit. Bad credit better then no credit?

I think too many people have a misconception about credit cards. Alot of people think it's the worse thing in the world. Actually, it's people's mindset with them. Credit cards aren't a ticket to buy things you know you don't have money for. Use it as a tool and pay for things you already pay for. Like cell bills and gas. An excellent credit score will save you several thousands of dollars when it comes to financing a home or car vs a mediocre score.

You definitely can remove bankruptcy. It’s not about getting hung up on weather or not it’s real, it’s about the rules being followed properly when it’s reported. That’s why we have the FCRA.
