Yep, any item that has the reflect property in DQ can reflect ally spells as well. Great when you're reasonably certain you can get through a fight without healing, not so much otherwise. You always have to carefully consider using them during longer fights. If you're primarily using something like the Sage's Stone for healing, it can eliminate the double-edged factor and make them a boon. Item healing doesn't reflect. Finally some revive magic! I really hope the new low level "Zin" that they put into DQ3 HD 2D becomes standard going forward. Having at least some kind of revive magic earlier is such a relief. It fails often enough that it's nearly useless in battle, but at least you don't have to run back to town dragging coffins every single time.
I think some of those items with cursed-sounding names can be equipped on critters like zombies. Most of the truly cursed ones have descriptions with words like "ominous" that tip them off. You can tell how much they've nerfed dazzle effects over the years. In the older games, it was practically a "give up on weapons" situation. Now it's more like a 40% miss rate. Of course, that applies to monsters hit with it as well, so it's not nearly as helpful to you. Oomph only affect the first hit of a multi-hit weapon, but lasts multiple rounds. It's best paired with single-hit weapons.
Magic key = red doors = revisiting old locations. And, yep, the flying carpet is a means of travel. You can open it on plains and go over plains and water with it. You do have to land exactly on the "Finish" space of the board to complete it. So you can end up going back and forth even right at the end. Yep, just like that. The prize for this first track isn't super awesome, but some later one are pretty great. On later tracks, some of the prizes you can find in pots and such are awesome, rare equipment. And now you know why they throw TnT tickets at you everywhere. It takes a lot of attempts. You've still got the museum to open for all those collectibles you're carrying around. You got the clue not long after acquiring the ship.

Thats what I thought. The revive magic is useful of course when it works.....risk versus reward though. The flying carpet is fun, I like the idea of it. I was a little annoyed at the have to land on the finish spot. Makes the T'N'T boards that much more difficult than they already are.
