    Thanks for the vid :) To anyone who watches this look on Amazon for your parts. This switch was $ 66.00 dollars at local parts house. I ordered with free ship for $ 42.00 total. Thanks again Creative Mechanic

    Thanks for sharing the video. Found it very helpful. Used it for my Tucson and worked perfectly. In my case, found nothing broken but the switch was very dirty from inside. Just cleaning it worked. Thanks Creative Mechanic!

    Great video! I followed the video step by step and everything worked perfectly. I allowed myself a hour for unexpected problems but there were none. I finished in about 25 minutes. Remember to adjust the steering wheel when indicated in video. Loved the attention to detail in video.

    Man, I've got an '03 Elantra whose turn signal has a mind of its' own. I'm hoping switcing out the turn signal will work. I can't fathom what the fuck else could be causing it to work and then not work with no rhyme or reason. Good video.

    I have a 2003 Hyundai Accent. A previous owner must have connected a beeper to the turn signal circuit. Every time you use the blinkers, it beeps like a truck backing up. The sound is coming from inside the dashboard. Am I probably going to have to remove the dashboard to disable this thing? Have you encountered this before?

    On my wife's 2004, she was driving at night and went to use the turn signal and the dash and headlights went out. I got them to come back on after fiddling with the switch. I'll try the suggestion below of cleaning it first before buying a replacement.

    What is that hideous noise repeating in the background, over and over and over, at 3.5 second intervals? The weed-eater was actually a relief.
    (Gave a thumbs-up anyhow, because it's a very useful little tutorial, but, crimony, *_please,_* ditch that gruesome soundtrack, next time.)

  • @Visilicious

    How are you supposed to diagnose whether it's the turn signal? I've been trying to diagnose an Elantra whose turn signal works and doesn't work with no apparent rhyme or reason.

  • @cindybraddock1222

    I just got a Hyundai Sonata, 2011, yesterday. Didn't test it at night. Just found out that sometimes when I use the turn signal with the lights on the lights go out sometimes. Also high beam is reluctant to work.
    I'm not very mechanical. Think the Elantra is close enough that I could do this? Pretty sure the car lot won't fix it and if they do I would have to spend the day several towns away at their mechanic.
    Thanks in advance.

      @TotoHandarov ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Cindy, it sounds like you had the same issue as me on the Hyundai Sonata. Did changing the switch fix your issue? Thanks in advance!

    If you are prepared to open the switch itself, the tin usually wears off of the strike plate on the plastic indicator carriage. The strip can be unclipped and reversed by bending in the opposite direction.
