- Hey friends! It's time for another Dollar Tree Easter holiday dinner. This year I bought just under $14 of ingredients from the Dollar Tree to make my meal. Other than oil and a few seasonings, all of the ingredients for this meal came from the Dollar Tree. I wanted this year's meal to be simple and relatively quick to put together. I had stuffed ham cups, pasta salad, biscuits, and lemon seasoned roast broccoli. This year's meal turned out to be one of the best holiday meals I've done from the Dollar Tree and was one of the easiest!
**The Dollar Tree is a non traditional option that a lot of people either choose to use or have to use for some or all of their grocery shopping. For many of these people the Dollar Tree may be the best option, or the only option, due to availability, distance, or affordability of better grocery options. Not everyone has the ability to access food pantries or food assistance, so please be open minded about the situations of others before criticizing those using Dollar Tree as a source of nutrition.

Never thought this would happen to me!!! Car broke down in the middle of nowhere. Saw a dollar tree, walked to it and followed your recipies from this video! Except... i was able to get the California blend. There were 2 of us and we ate very well! The recipies were delish, and the hotel "looked the other way" when I used my portable cooking equipment! Another way I dress up boxed stuffing, besides sautéing onions and celery, is to add chopped water chestnuts. I’ve done it so much that my family doesn’t like stuffing without it.

I bought the shelf stable whole milk from DT and I made chive and onion cream cheese from it. It worked great and it was fun to make.

@@ruthrelyea7388 I just used a carton of the DT whole milk, heated until it started to come to a boil and added about 3 tablespoons of lemon juice. Check out her latest videos for instructions. I'm excited to try and make other flavors too

There are so many people struggling and to see videos like this offer positive solutions to those that have that limited resource. Your recipes are easy, and I love dollar tree, have been using them for years, great products, inexpensive when on a seven up budget. Girl you are a godsend to so many. Keep up the great work.
I would have stuffed the ham cups with scalloped, au gratin or funeral potatoes and topped each one with a little bit of stuffing then serve the rest on the side😊

Love the idea of combining sandwich ham with stuffing to make it holiday meal-worthy. I think I would use Dollar Tree imitation crab in the pasta salad instead of pepperoni. Great ideas as alway!
I don’t know how you do it! However it is I am so happy that this channel is here. I am blessed enough that I don’t need to worry about not being able to buy groceries but I absolutely hate to cook. This meal is something that I would actually enjoy putting together and then I could have a really nice dinner. And the shelfstable ingredients or something that I could buy and package together and donate to my local food bank. I call that winner winner Easter Dinner! 🐰🧺

Those ham cups look really good
I enjoy your frugal cooking ideas. Just a note - I typically up the water amount a bit in boxed stuffings ( I like boxed stuffing too! ). It's a bit too dry and crumbly for me unless I do that. I like to grab a nice moist forkful that stays together. Just a thought - not a criticism. Thanks

Great idea doing a holiday dinner on a budget looks delicious and inexpensive I give you two thumbs up.
One year I took 3 huge chicken breast from the pack of chicken, some onions, and baby carrots and seasoned with no salt seasoning. I poured campbells classic chicken oven sauce over it. Aldi has a brand of it too. i cooked it uncovered until done. I made roughly mashed potatoes just with a fork and some garlic powder butter and milk, box stuffing, cabbage with crushed red pepper and no salt seasoning, and stovetop mac and cheese. I sliced the chicken crossways and everyone got 3 slices and lots of sides. Literally 15 dollars and was so good.

Hey Lisa Dawn. I’m in Raleigh lol. Unfortunately I’m in Rex hospital. One day I’d love to meet you n give you a big thank you hug from this old lady that really appreciates you n your videos. I had a pacemaker put in in Jan n it worked great for about 2 weeks n I’ve been putting off coming back hoping it would get better which of course it didn’t only worse. So I’m stuck here lol. However it depends on who picks me up when I’m discharged I’m going to hit up the DT here n then on my way back to the big town of Nashville I’m going to stop at the one in Zebulon that I love. I only live about 25 mins from the Zebulon one. As usually girl you hit it out of the park. You also taught this old lady something new today. Thank you. Green peas would be good on the stuffing lol. Idea- get frozen fries to cut up and add to your broccoli sheet pan . Do the potatoes instead of either the stuffing or Mac and cheese?

I had a similar thought with wanting cheese for the biscuits, and if you had gotten the cheese instead of the sheet pan mix, you could have had broccoli w. cheese as well...Twist of an ingredient we all see in hindsight I suppose. I do love the ham stuffing cups!!

Thank you..not sure if you heard but sadly Dollar Tree is going to hurt a lot of people’s pockets when they raise prices on hundreds of items as high as $7.00 and in some areas it’s already changed.
In my area they have added more expensive items but they haven't raised prices on existing items.
I live in Canada. When DollarTree first opened everything was $1.25, which was great! Then the price increased to $1.50 around 2020. Recently, between fall of 2023 to now prices have increased to anywhere between $1.75-$2.00. We don’t have the Plus section or freezer sections here. I enjoy going to DollarTree in Montana when I get a chance, it’s the closest State to me. I was just there last week and there were so many good deals! I was even willing to pay the higher prices for certain items! I’m saddened to hear they are planning on increasing prices down there.
Yes slash some locations are closing in certain areas of the US. So sad.
Our Dollar Tree has a separate area for $5 items, but they are bigger or better quality (usually) then their other items.
@@CyndieAmala ~I have heard that they hadn’t raised the existing prices/products yet but the $1.25 will be $1.50/$1.75 and up. I’m so sad over this as this will hurt so many of us that depend on this store to help stretch our dollars and to help feed ourselves.

@Nyl Enyap - I usually replace all the cheese with pepper jack. Dollar Tree's brand usually melts pretty good, so it works well, but if you use some other kind be sure it will melt well.
