I watered down glue years ago & took strings of Christmas tinsel & placed it on the glass door. Nobody ever guests what makes the lights shimmer thru the inside
Please, tell your friend with the new copper ceiling to grab some paints & paint that white vent cover to match the new tile. Doing this camouflages the vent cover so they're not the very 1st thing that you see, when you enter the bathroom.

Careful with the opaque windows. However well you can see the outside from the inside is how someone on the outside can see inside. I felt comfortable in a vacation rental in the master bath with opaque glass blocks until I noticed how well I could see the outside. I went outside and looked inside, and well, let's just say I had been giving the neighbors a show at least twice a day. 🤦♀🤦♀🤦♀🤦♀🤦♀🤦♀

I feel the same way. Something that has worked for me recently is timing myself. I put on music and will work for 4-5 songs (however long that is) and whatever is done in that time is good enough. Kathryn has given me that perspective again - "good enough" is A-ok, and it's ok to be overwhelmed. I have to work on not letting my anixety keep me from the beautiful home I deserve and will have one day. Please be gentle with yourself, friend. I am praying for you!! 💜
It’s the same struggle for me. I have been decluttering for almost 2 years now. Just a little at a time can make a difference. Stop when the anxiety overtakes you. I used gallery glass on my front door sidelights 26 years ago. It still looks great! I did a thin line of diamonds down the middle in blue and white, and surrounded by clear.
I needed this so much today. I’ve been so overwhelmed with a lot of spaces in my home to the point where some days I’m in tears. It’s been a day by day basis and I’ve been tackling it by myself. It’s coming together so slowly but I’m doing my best. I’m a work in progress and I WILL have my perfect space someday. I am so grateful for the “You are enough” that you give us at the end of every video. Thank you Kathryn for all that you do for us. For the past few days, I've been cleaning out my room, throwing away old papers with one phrase in mind: I want my space to be an oasis. I'm attending uni and life can be hectic. I want to walk into my room and not feel overwhelmed by the clutter. I just tackle one section at a time, half my closet or a drawer. It's so important to give ourselves grace, especially when it comes to cleaning. I feel even more inspired to make my vision a reality. Keep being you, Kathryn. You're also more than enough. ❤

I love Gallery Glass. I used it on our sliding glass back door when we moved to Utah in 1997. It was fabulous to have the privacy but still get the light. It's #1 renter friendly too. My landlord wasn't happy to see what I did until I showed her how easily it pealed right off when we moved out.
Here’s an idea for gallery glass - add to mirror for hanging stained glass art. Or even a cheap picture frame with just the glass. Might have to hot glue the glass to the frame. Think I’ll try those. ❤

With five grandchildren, we were in desperate need of a play room. So, we made a temporary play room in our garage. After donating/decluttering 28 years of stuff, we put in a stand alone air conditioner, put an unused chest of drawers in to hold art supplies and games, put up a card table, and put down the comfiest shag rug. We used foam weather seal to stuff into any openings around the garage and for under $800 created a huge play room!!! I just had to share this with you, because now I have my garage back, but it's super clean!
i love the thing about sticky notes because when i see a quote online i like i put it on a sticky note to remind myself of it. but now i have a bunch of sticky notes all over. i dont like that it looks cluttered but i like the inspirational quotes. i needed a solution for that for so long. thank you for doing videos like this. ill be a step closer to a more organized space.

These are all great ideas and suggestions for being super organized. Love the glass paint...wow! I saw your subliminal message in the video. My favorite letterboard quote is "Life is tough, my darling, but so are you". I put this quote on a letterboard 3 years ago when I got promoted to a harder position as a reminder that I can do this! It is what helped me get through the hard times for sure!

I have a love/hate relationship with ThredUp. It has a bigger selection than my local consignment stores, but with sizing so inconsistent between brands and styles, I still have to deal with the pitfalls of online shopping. However, it's amazing if I need something in a brand with consistent sizing that I already have. I bought a bunch of bump-friendly LuLaRoe dresses during my pregnancy, most of which were new with tags. Their actual maternity selection was extremely limited, but I did get some cute maternity pants. I spotted your letterboard! I don't have any funny or inspirational phrases for you. I used mine for my sporadic bump photos, all with a snarky comment about how I was feeling. Now I'm using it for the monthly baby photos instead of buying something new. The window glue looks so cool! I love the stained glass effect. My husband and I actually bought a roll of "stained glass" window cling for our bathroom window when we bought our house. We used the extra to decorate the top of our our living room windows. -Brita
I used clear school glue tinted with a couple of drops of food coloring to make faux stained glass art on old windows. For the leading, I outlined all of my areas and shapes (mostly flowers and leaves, along with a quote) with a tube of black slick fabric paint. I allowed that to dry and then filled all the open parts with various colors. I looks so much like stained glass! My only advice would be to do designs like that with your project on a flat surface and allow to completely dry before hanging to avoid drips. You could probably experiment with white or clear school glue, tinted or not, on a vertical surface, and see if it runs if applied with a brush, small roller, or even your fingers. You might get some interesting looks even if you did get dripping! It would always peel right off of you didn’t like it. 🙂

Kathryn, I operated a small business doing Gallery Glass windows and doors for home and business owners many years ago when the product first came out. I had great success with it and at that time we could get tons of gorgeous “stained glass “ looking patterns for purchase. The sky is the limit with this product and I absolutely loved using it. Words from experience here, colors fade! So if you are going to do colors pick up an extra bottle to refresh your color if you plan on using the same design for long. Another tip, in the past the “lead lines” if on the glass for a long period of time would leave a clear impression on the glass. Great product overall ❤

You are such an inspiration and your encouragement touches my heart deeply. Life can be so busy and hard, especially as a full time working mom. I totally relate with your friend. But look at you helping her out and in a fun loving way. Not an “Wow, look at this cluttered mess” way. You probably made her feel so loved and valued by helping her and singing songs and making it enjoyable and easy. Not to mention you didn’t encourage her to spend a lot of money. I used clear contact paper I had left over from a previous project on the bottom half of my bathroom window and it gives the same effect! Five years and it is still going strong.

These are all great ideas and suggestions for being super organized. Love the glass paint...wow! I saw your subliminal message in the video. My favorite letterboard quote is "Life is tough, my darling, but so are you". I put this quote on a letterboard 3 years ago when I got promoted to a harder position as a reminder that I can do this! It is what helped me get through the hard times for sure!

I have a love/hate relationship with ThredUp. It has a bigger selection than my local consignment stores, but with sizing so inconsistent between brands and styles, I still have to deal with the pitfalls of online shopping. However, it's amazing if I need something in a brand with consistent sizing that I already have. I bought a bunch of bump-friendly LuLaRoe dresses during my pregnancy, most of which were new with tags. Their actual maternity selection was extremely limited, but I did get some cute maternity pants.
I spotted your letterboard! I don't have any funny or inspirational phrases for you. I used mine for my sporadic bump photos, all with a snarky comment about how I was feeling. Now I'm using it for the monthly baby photos instead of buying something new.
The window glue looks so cool! I love the stained glass effect. My husband and I actually bought a roll of "stained glass" window cling for our bathroom window when we bought our house. We used the extra to decorate the top of our our living room windows.

I wonder if you could do the same thing for frosting glass with a 1.25 bottle of glue.
I used clear school glue tinted with a couple of drops of food coloring to make faux stained glass art on old windows. For the leading, I outlined all of my areas and shapes (mostly flowers and leaves, along with a quote) with a tube of black slick fabric paint. I allowed that to dry and then filled all the open parts with various colors. I looks so much like stained glass! My only advice would be to do designs like that with your project on a flat surface and allow to completely dry before hanging to avoid drips. You could probably experiment with white or clear school glue, tinted or not, on a vertical surface, and see if it runs if applied with a brush, small roller, or even your fingers. You might get some interesting looks even if you did get dripping! It would always peel right off of you didn’t like it. 🙂

Kathryn, I operated a small business doing Gallery Glass windows and doors for home and business owners many years ago when the product first came out. I had great success with it and at that time we could get tons of gorgeous “stained glass “ looking patterns for purchase. The sky is the limit with this product and I absolutely loved using it. Words from experience here, colors fade! So if you are going to do colors pick up an extra bottle to refresh your color if you plan on using the same design for long. Another tip, in the past the “lead lines” if on the glass for a long period of time would leave a clear impression on the glass. Great product overall ❤

Where those sticky post it's or index cards? If index you can punch a hole in the corner & as a ring to clamp together if sticky repurpose them by cutting them in strips to use for page makers

You are such an inspiration and your encouragement touches my heart deeply. Life can be so busy and hard, especially as a full time working mom. I totally relate with your friend. But look at you helping her out and in a fun loving way. Not an “Wow, look at this cluttered mess” way. You probably made her feel so loved and valued by helping her and singing songs and making it enjoyable and easy. Not to mention you didn’t encourage her to spend a lot of money. You kept it considerate and still did so much.

I used clear contact paper I had left over from a previous project on the bottom half of my bathroom window and it gives the same effect! Five years and it is still going strong.
