Great video and fair comparison. I'm very impressed by the Xiaomi Mi 4K. It's not much of a contest really because it wins every time. You can even pack it inside an in-flight bag with your clothes because it packs flat. The camera gives much better performance than the DJI too!

As a drone flyer I enjoy your channel. I was one of many 1000's who bought the Xiaomi Mi4K drone. It is a great product and got rave reviews for its price performance all over the world. It was released several years ago now and many users are in need of batteries. Therein lies a big problem as the Mi4K drone uses a special battery only made by Xiaomi. It appears Xiaomi has stopped producing them and existing inventories at retailers are all sold out. I have searched far and wide for a week trying to find batteries to no avail. The odd one can be found on Ebay but they are ridiculously priced at $400. (probably old inventory too) which was nearly the cost of entire drone. No one would pay such a price-gouging price. Do you know if Xiaomi still makes them or where they might be found for sale? It is definitely poor service if Xiaomi has abandoned the many 1000's of customers around the world that bought their drones. There are no aftermarket batteries or other alternatives I am aware of to use in place of the original Xiaomi batteries. Do you have any information that could help us?

Hi Dronegator I have chosen the mi drone but my shots come with a flash effect, I am using: Samsung MB-MC64GA / EU EVO Plus 64 GB MicroSD Card, UHS-I, U3 Class, up to 100 MB / s Read , 60 MB / s of Scripture. Which sd do you use? Maybe you have to better reset the gimbal? Thanks and bye.
On the stable test my phantom never ever have moved around like yours was moving to even do my light weight husban501ss advance move around like that i dont know what was going on with your phantom

It can but real pro photographer shoot .jpeg mostly in good light condition, and with this Xiaomi that shoot vivid crisp video, shooting .jpeg is a bargain, you will save hours of raw post production if you expose well.

update: the new xiaomi "fimi x8" is awesome. Almost identical specs to the mavic pro 1 (just without obstacle sensor) but closer to the dji spark price point.
I love the Mi drones too, but my Mi 1080p crashed after 1 month because of a sudden compass interference. Has anyone heard about sudden crashes of the 4k version?
Kay Kunack seems like your the first person on the net thats had a crash. thats good record for a new kid on the bloock quad. im going go ahead and get me one its about time some company can legitimately. compete with those high ass priced djis and i own one and love um but for the nomal working folks they greedy asses has priced us out i hope mi stick it to there money hungry asses.
My Xioami crashed due to a seized motor. It only had a few hours flight time. Gearbest won't replace or supply broken parts for me to fix. They offered me $30. What a joke. I think I will get a DJI next.

The Xiaomi Mi camera is not nearly as good - lots of jello, and the ability to control the speed of the yaw seems limited. The DJI Phantom 3, Advanced or Professional, is also more reliable than the Xiaomi.

What settings for saturation and contrast did u use on the mi drone!
I used the standard setting for XIaomi (as that is the only one) and the low saturation (DLog) for DJI Phantom 3
I thought they did a firmware upgrade last fall that added camera controls for saturation and some other things?
