In video two we are moving inside the car. We are providing a detailed wiring connection by terminal, wire colors and system applications. Don’t forget to like, share and subscribe. Thanks for watching
The best video on VW Beetle wiring I’ve seen. I just purchased a 1972 Super Beetle and am working on getting lights and wipers working so I can get it to pass inspection.
Hey Junior, I very much appreciate your way of explaining the wiring process. Other guided videos for bug wiring tend to be too technical with a presentation that would expect the viewer to understand what they are talking about when making connections to switch numbers and so on. Your instructional course takes the time to assume DYI people need that extra explanation, so hats off to you and thanks very much for your help!
My 72 Super Convertible came to me with a few of the bundles of wires snipped off. I've managed to hot wire to a push button I've attached at the dashboard. Could these smaller bundles be for A/C or some other accessories ? One of those snipped bundles in the engine compartment contains a heavy gauge red wire with a white stripe ??? Does this go to the starter ? It looks like someone wired this car for an alternator at some point in it's history. Anyway , I think once the regulator and starter and generator are wired properly I'll have a runner. Great video. Most helpful I found on TH-cam so far. Cheers !
On red #50 from the junction. At about 5:55. Doesn't it go thru a hole in the upper left portion of the drivers side pan? Right under the brake line exit.... You didn''t show it...

Would this video be the same on a 67 beetle 12 volt thanks in advance.
Question: The wire coming from terminal 86 and going into the loom, I assume that is the wire going to the switch on the dash?
Terry; apologies I didn’t see your message sooner. Did you figured this one out ?
