Gracias por tu comentario, mas delante se ve y explico mas de cerca.
En esta parte no sería mejor que la cámara esté más cerca de lo que explica por qué no se ve ni oye bien
from what i've seen on other videos the seal should be recessed a bit not protruding a bit and blue loctite should be installed on gland nut not never seize. They could be wrong?
Could you put a torque wrench on those you're out of your mind what do you think they are stripped out
Did you put the sound deadening in the area where the battery goes and section next to it?
All of it has it
@ thanks Junior
Just came to say thank you sir! The string trick worked like a charm
Refurbishing the OEM parts whenever possible is a good idea; they fit better, the quality is better plus you save in not having to buy replacements. If you can media blast them and repaint you should be golden.
🙏👍®️
Tell me about it.
Great deal! Now a nice thorough cleanup; change the gear oil and check the CV joints and boots. It might need new boots and new grease. Ask me how I know 😉. Happy Thanksgiving!
Great to see someone discussing the flapper valve. I’m unsure exactly what it does and if mine works properly
This is a parts bus. Just getting the things I plan to use and saving any mechanical parts someone else could have a need. My cousin has a 77 transporter and he may need some of them.
Very Bad Video you kann not take Video better you repare the Car
Wow; that Bus is quite crispy underneath! I guess you will clean and service the motor before you install it on the other bus. Cleaning everything, retorquing heads and adjusting valves would be good ideas. Also a good idea to take the engine tin off to make sure there’s no mice nests on the cylinders, etc.
That's the plan!
How are the rear brake lights wired in a VW? Are the rear brake lights shared with the turn signal bulbs or are they dedicated bulbs?
Thank you for your videos. Question (back to when you did the rear drum brakes: Where can I get the tool you used to compress the springs and rotate the cup into position over the pin? Please share/advise. Thank you in advance.
You can get it at harbor freight
Wow; that valance looks as rusty or worse than in the one you fixed. Looks like they all rust out in the same areas by design.
Hello there, yes it seems to be a common rust spot. Good thing it’s a part ls bus… 😊
@@juniorclassicvwbugs924also remember west coast metric in California has all the rubber seals and plastic trim parts and all good quality and reasonable prices.
@ thanks 🙏 for always supporting me in my channel
terminal 87 where the black cable is connected in the front. you don't show it
This is absolutely the best wiring video i have ever seen in youtube, very clear presentation and narration. Thanks!
Thanks 🙏 really appreciate the feedback
Whats the spec of the brass T fitting
Is your van color Signal Orange? You could try Krylon pumpkin orange I believe is closer match Nice job!
I’m sorry my friend I hope things get better for you!
What’s up body. Thanks for checking out. I hope all is well with you and your family.
Not an easy decision I’m sure, but for you it sounds like the correct one. The end goal was to restore it and enjoy it, as long as someone else is doing that then our community continues, good luck with family, health and the other projects 👍🏼
Thanks
A little sad because you were doing a great job with it and I was looking forward to the rest of the work but glad it’s going to a good home. The orange bus is a good project as well and I am also excited about how it’s coming along.
@@vayabroder729 thanks for the support. I hope I can finish it
generally speaking, the Chinese repops are actually pretty much plug and play anymore. Old bug guys just know how they like to set the idle
I love that color! Go for it!
Thanks
Where did you get that? What’s the part number????
Lowe’s hardware store
@ thank you
What part? The rear valance?
I was blown away with how good it looked.
Almost spot on match! They have a great line of products that are widely available, give great results and don’t break the bank.
Thanks 🙏
Good job,
Thanks
Great finish 💪🏼
Very helpful info!
Nicely done brother! You can get rattle can with factory color if needed! And use Spraymax 2K clear over it!
Hey. Body how are you. Brother I missed the show you went to in Ohio. I have been planning to go that show all year and then I forgot it was Saturday. How is every thing going for you. I have been wanting some of your videos, but with family members being sick and me with some health issues I have not been able to work on my projects as much as I want to. I am selling Frankenstein so I can focus on only the two buses. I have even entertain selling one of the buses too. Have had some people inquired about Frankenstein the super beetle, they show an interest, but they back out .
I found a couple of cans of rust oleum real orange and they are pretty close to the OEM color inside the bus so I am going to give it a try. Then I will apply a coat of 2K clear. This is the engine bay nook, so aim ok with the color after all it’s going to be covered by the tank guard and I just wanted to repair and treat the roughed metal and protect it from it getting rust again..
Wow; this work is fantastic. Primer finish also looks great! I believe you can get paint matched in rattle cans.
Thank you. I was thinking maybe PPG may be able to color match me a few cans. Do you have any other suppliers recommendations. Have a superb day.
@@juniorclassicvwbugs924 found out that o’reilly does in certain locations. Need to go to the store locator and look for auto color services.
@@juniorclassicvwbugs924my response got deleted by the censors here. The national auto parts chain that starts with O has some auto color centers in selected stores and they match color and prepare in rattle cans. Hope this helps!
You can check the Samba for close color matches for those area's that nobody will ever see

On the voltage regulator which connection sends power back to the battery to recharge it Isn't that the B+ ?
B+ goes to the battery positive terminal
@@juniorclassicvwbugs924 does the power from the generator come out of the B+ on the voltage regulator is my question ????
Thank you for coming out to this show
Thanks for inviting me. Next year I will be there again. Just keep me posted
How many turns did u do to have it just right jw
After I performed all the steps it was as just a matter of micro turns. These are the instructions initial adjustments process. To adjust idle (34 PICT-3): 1. Clean and regap or replace the spark plugs as necessary. Make certain that valve clearances, ignition dwell angle, and ignition timing are correct. 2. Replace the oil dipstick with a thermometer to measure the oil temperature. 3. Start the engine and run it until the oil temperature reaches 50° to 70°C (122° to 158°F). Check to make sure that the automatic choke if fully open, then stop the engine. 4. Turn the throttle valve adjustment out until there is clearance between its tip and the fast idle cam. Then turn the throttle valve adjusting screw in until it just touches the fast idle cam. 5. From this position, turn the throttle valve adjusting screw in an additional one-quarter turn. 6. Slowly turn the volume control screw in until it comes to a stop, and then turn it back 2½ to 3 complete turns. 7. Connect a dwell meter/tachometer to the ignition system and start the engine. 8. By turning the bypass screw, adjust the idle speed to 800 to 900 rpm. 9. By turning the volume control screw, adjust to the fastest obtainable idle. Then turn the volume control screw slowly clockwise until the engine speed drops by 20 to 30 rpm. 10. By turning the bypass screw, reset the idle to 800 to 900 rpm.
Did you consider putting the buttons on the headrest?
No I don’t. I like how they look this way
I would start with the corners…
Just read the writing on the windshield to see the front
Looks Good - What size tires are you running? Any recommendations on tire size or brand? New to beetles- Thanks
I’m using P195/65R15 all 4
Whats the mm of your flywheel
Nice! I thought that you were installing a Type I on this one like it had but I believe the Type IV 2.0 is a superior powerplant.
Yeah, at first I was going to do that, but I purchased a 77 bus and I have the 2.0 with the transmission, so I am going that route.😀
Do you have to use the new parts for the piece that goes on the tunnel, or can you use the original one that mounts on the tunnel?
You can use the the OEM bolt in the tunnel
Yeah but can I use the original seat belt catch
@@chinaclipper1 you can use the original mount on the tunnel.
Where did you source the stronger spring please? The one in my kit is as weak as a kitten… thanks
Autozone
Looks great.
Thank you! Thank you! I bought a 2007 Harley Road King with the screaming eagle kit. The guy that owned it really decked it out with a lot of add-ons and chromed it out. When it wouldn't start I thought for sure I was screwed. I bought it without it running from the widow of the guy. Changed out the battery in the pod, started up in the first crank after sitting for 3 years! whew!
How do you try to repolarize the generator ?
