- We have arrived in Milan and after a quick 24 hours, we may be our new favorite European city! After leaving Naples, we caught a high-speed train past Rome and Florence, both of which are incredible cities that we were lucky enough to visit just over three years ago. From the second we stepped into the Milan central station, we knew we were somewhere special! Join us as we walk the streets, explore the beautiful Milan Cathedral, get attacked by pigeons in the city square, visit one of the world's best Starbucks, and have the most amazing pasta dinner at Osteria Da Fortunata!

What beauty. Another place I would not get to see. Thank you for taking us along. I felt the holy spirit when you showed us cathedral. The desserts looked so delicious. I can just imagine how the coffee roasting smelled. Seeing the city lite up was so special. Never ever pictured Milan with skyscrapers. What a great video.

WOW!!! The cathedral is mind blowing not only in size, but beauty. I'm just in awe, and sitting here wondering how did they build those spires so tall, and then how did they get those statues on top?? The nail from the cross in the ceiling is a true artifact....if true that it's there. The plaza and all those birds was almost scary!! I would have been with Chelle on the ground. It's a wonder they don't fly into people on their laps! Once again you've opened up wonders that I never knew existed, and I'll be forever greatful you have shared with us. Thank you again!
side note: Milan's Duomo IS completed: what you see are continuous restorations due to the damage caused by the smog. The unfinished one is the Sagrada Familia in Barcellona, Spain :)

I'm sorry you were not able to see The Last Supper. I agree, it would have been a special experience. Hopefully, that can happen for you another time. In the meantime, what the two of you are able to do together right now is absolutely wonderful. As someone who's now fifty four, and feeling the years slipping by a little more swiftly, I can hardly think there would ever be a person who'd say with any sincerity, "Dang it, if only I had not made so many awesome memories." Other then our relationship with our Heavenly Father there's nothing more precious then our family and our memories. You two are so blessed with both. Milan is beautiful! My bestie and I did a day trip there while we were in Switzerland for vacation. That Catheral is beautiful. Yay!

All I can say is WOW!
Please don't leave Italy or come back soon. You must know that this country has a thousand-years history, but has only been united for just 150 years. Before it was divided into many closed cities and therefore it is enough to travel 20 miles to find as in another country with its own dialect, food, tradition, architecture and so on. This is the beauty of Italy. So come back soon!

I love Milan I have been there 2 times loved it so much ❤ enjoy 😉 my friends live there. They took me all over I love the square..and also they took me to Switzerland was less than hour away we went there too so beautiful 😍 ...

In Milano, you have to have Rissoto Milanese and Cutlette Milanese! One day is not enough to see Milan.

The Starbuck Reserve Roastery there 6 places in the world one is Milano. Others are New York，Seattle，Chicago，Tokoyo，and Shanghai. Cool place to visit.

So glad you visited Milano and the duomo, it is very beautiful and stunning and we, as italian, are very proud and lucky to have this architecture (and for me it’s very close, just 1h drive😁) The song, is dedicated to the gold madonna on the very top of the church and it was written in dialect (every region has his own dialect here in italy, even if almost nobody speaks like this because it’s used by elderly people) and every milanese (the people who live in Milano) know that song… and they are very proud as well of that song as for the duomo😁 can’t wait to see where you are going next!!!! Stay safe, greetings from Italy🇮🇹 oh, you should have tried the risotto alla milanese, it is very yummmmmmm, save that for your next time there!

Perfect video for a quick stop in Milan. I've booked a 1/2 day tour so that we get to the front of the lines & get see the famous Last Supper by Leonardo da Vinci, plus the Duomo & a castle or two. I was told that you had to get tickets to see the Last Supper 2 months in advance. They lied. It's more like 3-4 months. They go quickly. Tour companies secure tickets for those that pay their fees. The tour I booked covers all of the main sights. The day before I'll be taking in the sights that I want to catch that are off the beaten path (aka shopping & eating).
Watch the pigeons! They carry histoplasmosis. I had it in my early years and it’s no joke!

It's a Ducati! I am guessing they rent a Ducati... Yup, ride to Turin on a great Italian bike then back to Bolognia to tour the factory where it was made.
May your next visit destination be Turin? It' s the most elegant city in Italy and there is a lot to be seen. The Egyptian museum it is the second biggest in the world.

I would have to say a motorcycle but could be a houseboat!!! And Chelle I would be laying on the ground or running like a crazy lady to get away from those birds! The Cathedral was so beautiful! When we went to Cuba, we hired a driver and went to Havanna and that old Cathedral was amazing! Problem is most of the people I go with don't want to go sight seeing and I am not travelling alone to see stuff. I could care less about the tours of this or that but tours of the cities and get to see how they live, that I love! When we went to Jamaica for my niece's wedding, we hired a driver recommended by the hotel and he took us to the rich part, the blue collar part, the poor area; which broke our hearts! Then showed us all the sights and things that the tours were doing and instead of $200 a person we paid $200 total and then entry into some places that he couldn't sweet talk his way into but even then I think it was $40 more each plus he dropped us off in city center to have lunch and shop! Husbands weren't happy but we just gave them a drink lol
Maybe a Vespa in Pisa, then explore Tuscany?

I look at the cathedral and it's sad to think that the persin who dreamed it up and designed it, never see it's end result. Amazing
It was not the creation of a single person and many artists were involved in the project, so probably some of them saw their creations completed. Even during the many years of construction, the project was constantly changed. There is a special tax in Milan that is reserved for the ever-recurring restorations.

Fun fact they started that Starbucks in Italy to see if people would actually get it to be popular…. Lived in Vicenza for about 4 years. 18-22, we stopped by that Starbucks and literally the line was out the door, when it first opened.
