Anyone who saw FJM in the early days circa 2012, saw him and this band at their best. These shows were electric with all the laughter, chills, and all the other misc. feelings that you want to feel at a live show.
I got to Father John Misty back in 2012 on the first Fear fun tour. They played at the house blues in Boston. It was strange to see the band play in such a huge venue and the opening band was terrible but that Father John Misty line up put on one hell of show, still one of the best shows Iv ever seen to this day, it was so raw and energetic funny all at once. Mr.Tilman made fun of the house of blues on stage holding a bottle of makers mark calling it “the house of fun” and making fun of the Red Sox’s next door at Fenway park
