Mark just recently booked a show at our local casino and it sold out in under thirty minutes! Was texting with a young man from Chile about Mark's tour there. He said to tell Mark in Chile they call him an "Apu" a mountain God! ✌
The man was 69 when he performed this in Chile....my GOODNESS!!! This was just as good as it was in 1970 when he recorded it on Grand Funk Live from Florida. 'Heartbreaker' and 'Mean Mistreater' are still two of my all-time favorites!!! THANK YOU Mr. Farner for all the incredible music that helped shape my life of music!!!!

This man is Grand Funk Railroad the other two that were in the band back in the day couldn't handle the fact that this is the man, the brain's behind everything. GFR was my first concert in the early 70s and I've seen dozens of bands since but he was absolutely the best front man I've seen. He commanded the stage and every eye in the house was on him 99 percent of the time. He was really impressive.

Great to see Mark still operating at a high level. I do miss that distorted bass sound of Mel though as it was really down and dirty (check out some of earlier Ben Folds Five for that same nasty bass goodness).

Some crowd!! Very under appreciated here in the US. Not in good voice this night, but he can usually still belt it out!!! He just turned 74 and is still kicking ass, while most of his generation are either toes up or in a nursing home. AMAZING!!!🙏👍

But compared to past shows he sounds off to me. Maybe it's the way it's coming through on my phone. Sounds off to me. Even his guitar playing is a bit fumbled. Everyone has a bad night or song. No biggie.
