How do you find the Hahnemühle Collection series paper versus other top end brands of 100% cotton like Arches or Saunders Waterford for eg. The Hahnemühle Collection paper here in NZ is about 45% cheaper than Arches.
Hi Allan, that's great news if Hahnemuhle's The Collection is 45% cheaper than Arches. I learnt how to paint on Arches, but in 2020, Hahnemuhle launched a new watercolor paper The Collection. Once I tried it, I knew that this was going to be my favorite paper, because it's vegan (not animal based like Arches, so there's no smell to it), and because you can also slightly lift the colors, while on Arches it's very hard. So with Arches, you can paint in layers, but with The Collection - you can paint in layers, and on top of that you can lift colors, and colors dry more vibrant. If you like Arches, you will love the collection, because it's so much better. Plus the paper doesn't get spoiled like Arches over time. 🙋🏻♀️
Hi Nicole, I had sketchbooks in my Etsy shop until I ran out - sometime during the summer. I made a smaller batch with the help of Hahnemuhle, and I used their watercolor paper: The Collection. I am considering producing more, perhaps I will create a gofund me page, this way I would know how many would I order... 😍
