The white pigment I use is an opaque watercolor - GOUACHE (Holbein)
I use it instead of my regular watercolor whites which are too transparent for my style of painting.

Mesmerizing. It seems as if your paper is wet but not so wet as the lines from the paint don't totally fade away.

Hi Renee, thank you. When painting wet on wet the ratio of water/paint is very important. When I paint wet on wet, my paint is still diluted with water but it's more like half and half/heavy cream like ratio. Small amounts in this case🌹

Good evening, Charles, thank you so much for your kind words. I use different ratios of water and paint when I paint 'wet on wet' vs 'wet on dry'. I think that's what makes the biggest difference 🙋🏻‍♀️

Maria, this rose is absolutely gorgeous. Each rose I have watched you paint is better than the last. I can almost feel the softness of the petals. Too bad you can't paint the smell. LOL!
