its crazy that Kz ZS10 are no doubt authentic while being the oldest model, i have also Kz ZS10 Pro x and just the way they are build i have big doubts about the drivers being all that working, but they definitely sound better than old ZS10s...its confusing

couldn't you evaluate each driver with a Fourier transform, in order to obtain the signals in the frequency domain? You can use a white noise as the input signal. So we can observe which frequency each driver works! Sorry for the poor English from Brazil (yes, you have followers here!)

for the "next time u taking apart" try to heat it with blower and remove the two pieces of the plastic with screw driver . do it from medium distance so u just not over heat the plastic and the components

Bluedose 15k just because the drivers are real doesn't mean shit, you can get dirty cheap drivers and really expensive ones, you can absolutely be sure the KZ offerings are made of the cheapest and worst drivers on the market as opposed to drivers used by westone or unique melody

You should have done more research before creating this video. Anyways, you can repeat the experiment by using a smartphone and testing the sound using an app like FFTWave on Google play store. There should be similar app for iphones too if you don't have a spare android phone.
Play linear sweep(20-20kHz) sine wave file in any audio player and place the BA near the mic of the smartphone. You should be able to figure out the FR of that particular BA. The mics in smartphone can measure upto 10kHz.
I wonder what your take is on the recent KZ scandal where some people found out that some of the BA drivers in their popular IEMS are actually not wired and/or producing sound, but more so are decorative/fake contrary to their marketing. Theres a few youtube video out there exposing KZ, including badguygoodaudio and AJ audio regarding KZ DQ6, KZ CRN. I myself own the KZ ZS10 pro that I've been using for some time (with no major concerns about it), but I do wonder if this scandal happened later when they started releasing a whole bunch of new IEMs for crazy price points. Do you own any other KZ?
i actually wonder the same thing. Ive tried to look up a teardown, one like this video, but with the KZ ZS10 pro iems but found nothing about them. I think that they are basically the normal ZS10 but with a new coat of paint and one of the BA moved closer to the tip, so this video should work too.
I have 3 zs10 pro here, all 3 are "new ones", i mean new shit cable, new shit box and all stuff, not old bronw cables and the old generic box. Got them in november 2021, 2 i send to customization in order to make a fit to my ear...so they got ripped part in order to make my customs... those 2 are perfect, all working, good crosfade and no sign of not working BA's. I got too an KZ ZST Pro from 2019 and t's ok... working good and no "not working" drivers. I wonder if this is just in some IEM's from KZ or is something that is happening to all products. At least my 3 seems to be in order and working good.

EXCELLENT JOB MY FRIEND....very informative. You can never be too skeptical about these chinese products. All I know is that my KZ ZS10 pro sound beyond amazing. Now! all that remains is how long will these IEM's last.
You can use a hobby knife heated via a soldering iron, that's how I fix my earphones.
Very interesting and reassuring test. It would be interesting to know what frequencies are produced by each speaker. Did you try these KZ ZS10 with the silver plated cable? Any improvement?
Really good video, thanks! looking at the connections it seems that there are only two crossovers for the BAs, so they seem to be wired in pairs of 2 feed with the same audio signal each pair. The DD seems to be connected directly to the + - so no low pass filter.
Thanks for doing this TechManZ. I have plans to custom house and mod these. From my research so far the PCB seems to be a band stop filter. The BA's are listed as 2x 30095 and 2x 50060. Of course Knowles makes the original 30095 but I've found no information about a 50060 which I suspect both are manufactured by KZ themselves with the equivalent specs to some Knowles models. Can't wait to get my hands on these.

I strongly believe that if we can change C1 and C2 we get a different frequency range. More pleasant or not, depending on the ear of each listener.

Should have used sinewave frequency generator app on your phone. Sweep it to find the freq range of each driver.

seem like yes maybe their ba model is real but the est model is fake.
@@dogmanxxx4218 the electret magnetostatic one does work on mine (CCA NRA and ZEX Pro), and so does the BA, same on the other sets I bought to test, maybe it's some kind of omission or something they made? Maybe a big QC fuckup, but even if so it'd be kinda catastrophic for them.
@@WildWildWeasel That's good to hear. I think it's possible for big qc problems because est is their new tech so their production isn't that percise. Can you tell me how they sound with the est working ?
@@dogmanxxx4218 I’ll try my best to find a measuring rig myself, but as far as I’ve been able to tell the EST driver only works from 7kHz to 20kHz, so while it works and the BA also kicks in at higher volumes (say 60% volume at least, on an iPhone) the difference is just enough to be noticed, it’s not drastic.
@@dogmanxxx4218 I liked the tuning regardless of who did it, sometimes I want breaks from being a bass head so I try the CRNs to let my ears sorta rest while still listening to music, the units are perfectly good the way they are but we’re facing quite a big bad PR nightmare here

Actually, if they used something like superglue or similar (cyanoacrylate glue) to glue the 2 shell parts together, nail polish remover can peel it off. Pure acetone can definitely do the job, but it's often too strong. So strong that it could melt the plastic housing as well. Nail polish remover contains acetone, but it's diluted, so it's not as strong as pure acetone.

Hey, i'm having problem with my left piece zs10. I dont know why, the volume is becomes very low. I could make it normal by reattach the jack cable on my phone in charging position. But, when i plug to my ear (vacuum) the sound is lost again. What happened to my iem? And how to fixed it?
If you're in America Amazon is cheap enough and you'll get them in a couple of days instead.of a month. Soooo do what you will. If you wanna wait that long for a couple of extra dollars savings go for it. I do like both Gearbest and Alibaba. But I usually use them for shit that's way cheaper or just isn't on Amazon. Otherwise, convenience over price.

That poor ZS10 :( haha. The Dayton Audio imm-6 is cheap and lots of people use it. Not a professional tool, but it should give you measurements that are reasonably consistent and comparable to those crafted by other members of the audio community.

Hey I was wondering if anyone can help with me a problem with ZS10’s. For some reason, a month in my dynamic driver in my right IEM gave out and grazing the shell alone causes it to turn off. Does anyone have any suggestions that don’t involve absolutely shredding my IEM?
