Thanks Maam ❤❤❤ Please Please :- Video about CB1 agonists and how do they act as antiemitcs by stimulate CB1 receptors which located centraly and peripheraly ? 🙏🙏🙏
Hi madam .in this vedeio at 01:12 seconds u told that stimulation of these receptors like D2,5-HT3,NK1 and CB1 causes stimulation of CTZ which further stimulates vomiting center.all drugs antagonizing these receptors further suppressing vomiting center.but you are telling 7th classification that's dronapinol activate CB1 receptor . But how madam.activation of CB1 receptors cause stimulation of CTZ right? Refer vedeio once at 1min 12 seconds and at 7min also Thank you
I thank you for being very attentive while watching the video. Cannabinoid CB1 receptors are located on neurones in CTZ and/or the vomiting centre. Please note one correction in the video, “Stimulation of Cannabinoid CB1 receptors produces antiemetic effect and not emetic effect”, and thus Dronabinol, a cannabinoid possesses antiemetic activity. For references you can go through the book Essentials of Medical Pharmacology by KD Tripathi. Apart from this there are a number of research articles on antiemetic activity of Cannabinoids on Google.
