I can see why it's your favorite, as you said it's simple yet it is effective at telling a story. I don't know where to rest my eyes, this dio deserves hours and hours of gawking at, so many cool little details. Absolutely beautiful!
dude this is either the best or one of the best dioramas i have ever seen, the soldiers looks so alive and the nature looks very real, the diorama looked so real that you fooled me, i thought it was a picture from WW2.
Magnificent! Each diorama gets better and better, not only because of the end results, but for the path to get there. A lot of learning on each delivery! Thank you.
The peculiar whining noise he introduces into his voice drives me nuts on the other hand. Luckily his dioramas are brilliant and I can love them with the sound off 😂
one tip on the tree: fall leaves tend to fall off unevenly. Usually, the leaves on the bottom fall off after the top ones! Unbelievable work again though!
No doubts you feel proud of this diorama! It’s balance, color gradients, level of details blends to a very pleasant and realistic scene! The palisandre wood stain works very well. A true gem of a diorama and an inspiration for us modelers.
I used to look at the dioramas in the Tamiya catalogue when I was a kid and was always amazed by the ones with water. You've inspired me to try for myself over 40 years later!
I really like it, Martin! All the little details, like the fallen leaves really pop. Most importantly, I'm glad to hear how much YOU like it! I used to beat myself up over every little mistake I made when I built, which I suppose is part of why I haven't built anything in over 5 years.
my friend you are a real artist....even i have no intention to build a tank in my life you are still my favorit modler and i have learned so much from you for my model making.thx
You are lucky enough to have a girl friend who understands your passion. My ex wife did not and my new girl friend does! the only criticism I would say is that this tank is going through muddy terrain and the tracks are clean.
What I would pay to have a multi-hour long walkthrough of your collection of models and dioramas. I could spend at least 30 minutes looking at each one! Absolutely beautiful, keep up the excellent work!
There's nothing wrong with being proud of you're own work. That's why they come out so beautiful. I like black bases and the strained ones. I think it best to go with whichever you think fits the scene your building. I agree, a little less water would have been good, but I don't think I've ever done a project that I didn't wish I'd done something a little bit differently 🙂 Absolutely beautiful work as usual 👍 Thanks Uncle Night Shift ❤
I really like the wood-grain base. It makes the diorama a whole beautiful object, from top to bottom. A black base is (in my opinion) trying not to be noticed, whereas this one is revelling in the admiring gaze. Great work, as always, Martin!
I think that the angles and viewing lines on this are terrific! The slope down with the tree in the back, the sight lines moving from each figure to the next, the composition is perfect! Great work once again!
What a great diorama. So packed with details for such a small display...especially that tree! 🤩 I always get such satisfaction watching you slice through those blocks of foam with your cutter...smooth as butter. 😁😆
I'm always impressed each time I see your dioramas. Not only is the result at the quality of picture-perfect realism, but the staggering amount of effort applied to each individual detail in each project is inspiring. If you applied your diorama skills to a wargaming hobby such as Warhammer, I wonder how cool you could make them look if you applied the same amount of work ethic. I pray that you continue to upload outstanding work like this.
I must say this video was really fun to watch. It's amazing how you can share your joy and passion with your viewers. And yes, the diorama is great! All those hours playing with the mud and creating that wonderfull tree payed off! 👌🏻
I'm glad to see you really happy about this diorama! I remember how down you were about trying to get your videos out on a deadline. At least now you are able to relax more. Another brilliant diorama my friend!!
I love both the black and the wood stain sides. I think the black gives more of a sense that the sides don't exist, while the wood stained gives an artistic version of a chunk of earth cut out.
One of the best features about your videos is your positive attitude. Some people might think the gluing of individual leaves on the tree was tedious or boring or frustrating, so it was nice to hear you say you enjoyed it. Another masterpiece.
I haven’t read the comments here, but I’m sure I’m echoing much of them by saying - you have outdone yourself here, man! Pat yourself on the back as much as you want. Fantastic work! From the kit-bashing, to the terrain and water, to the stained wood… exquisite 🖖🐰🍷
You should be proud of this diorama. You’ve put everything you’ve learned up to this point into it, and personally I prefer smaller, more concise dioramas (verging on vignettes). It has all the elements necessary to tell a larger story than it seems, with nothing extraneous. I think the reason the wood grain base works so well with this scene is due to the contrast between the lighter wood and the very dark mud. The terrain-following upper edge, particularly on the front of the diorama, emphasizes the three dimensionality of the ruts. It’s the first thing my eye was drawn to before differentiating the thing into its elements and how they went together. This kind of front loads the brain to see and appreciate the three dimensionality of the whole diorama. It’s just another visual hack. Your standard black base does the same thing with lighter ground features like sand and snow.
Wood stains often have different rules, such as needing multiple coats, wiping excess off, needing some sanding before reapplication and more. It is a good idea to always read labels for such things, also if these are only stains that don't harden the wood may have no protection, which in your case isn't a problem but if you want a better shiny finish simply rub a rug on some wax (beesewax ideal but any candle will do) and give it a pass over the veneer.
Martin, Have you offered your work to museums or high-end collectors ? They are truly works of art and should be available for viewing by the masses. On par with the great masters. Seeing the work and creativeness that you pour into each project just makes them even more special.
Your 3D works are Masterpieces!! Thank You so very much for sharing them with Us here on the tube! I really appreciate the time and energy that You put into the builds. It is so very refreshing to watch You work!! I have a diorama in the works and Your skills and techniques are going to be very instrumental in this effort for me. I am thankful to see Your work and I wish You the best in all Your endeavors. Later My Friend!
Stunning diorama, epic figures. You make this look so simple, when in fact it is anything but. Also really love how you explain everything in detail, what an excellent teacher you are.
chefs kiss for that tree.. I also really liked the mud and little grass overhangs under the clumps although, I do prefer he matte black sides to the stained wood look...
Awesome work Martin! You really hit a home run with the groundwork. Your figure painting is getting better all the time and a source of inspiration for me to strive for a better result with my figures. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Fantastic job! 😲 The painting and weathering are spot on, lending realism to the scene. The colors and textures used on the base, though, pull all the elements together and set the 'mood'. Excellent figures, and they really give this scene its character. I make more use of my airbrush when painting figures but have a similar style of light coats to control opacity and build various hues and tones. Thanks for sharing the build! 👍
Another master work! It appears that you innovate diorama details & painting effects very successfully with each new diorama project. The tree leaves look very realistic, & at first, I thought they might be lights.
The stained wood sides are very nice. Black is good for some situations but the natural colors tend to blend with the dirt, mud, trees, etc. to form a coherent composition. If you were doing an urban scene like the one with the un-exploded mortar shell I'd say black is spot on. I have to say that the tree is a work of art. Authentic looking trees are not easy in the least and you have succeeded nicely.
Been following your work for a few years now and i agree, this one definitely stands out as especially exceptional. Looking forward to the next project, the best is yet to come.
Buying green stuff leaf punches was one of the best investments I've made, you can punch out all sorts of leaves from real leaves, adding super realistic details to models
On the glaze technique for the figures I start with the drark highlights in the fold with the darkest color for Russian troops then start with the glazing , its really makes them pop.
i would love to see you make a diorama where a tank is shooting its round and it floats in the air and there should be total war around it. that video i would watch 😊👌
After a shitty week, this is exactly what I need - Over 30 minutes of great entertainment starting with "Mah friends..." :) Let the weekend begin!
I know what you mean, this channel helps me decompress before I attempt to work on my models.
The "simple" scene is in my opinion is the hardest to pull off because every element must be as visually appealing.
Well done sir, well done.
Night Shift when he can use the VMS smart mud: **happi noises**
The wood grain looks so pretty, it allows the base to have it's own warm feel and adds so much to the diorama.
I can see why it's your favorite, as you said it's simple yet it is effective at telling a story.
I don't know where to rest my eyes, this dio deserves hours and hours of gawking at, so many cool little details.
Absolutely beautiful!
Your attention to detail make all your projects a work of art. You are a master of your craft!
I love how you can hear the barely-contained joy in his voice at so many points in the video
Beautiful ❤
Baby oaks. 😅
The details are jaw dropping! 👍
A small slice of a large landscape, your imagination fills in the rest!!
dude this is either the best or one of the best dioramas i have ever seen, the soldiers looks so alive and the nature looks very real, the diorama looked so real that you fooled me, i thought it was a picture from WW2.
Magnificent! Each diorama gets better and better, not only because of the end results, but for the path to get there. A lot of learning on each delivery! Thank you.
I swear just listening to your voice feels like a therapy :D Just building my own model, video playing next to me.. Its so calming and peaceful
The peculiar whining noise he introduces into his voice drives me nuts on the other hand. Luckily his dioramas are brilliant and I can love them with the sound off 😂
@@neilhfrancis1334what are you talking about?? He talks perfectly normal🤷🏼♂️
Perfect way to start the weekend! Thank you :D
Thank you , Uncle Martin .
🐺 Loupis Canis .
a tip on the seafoam twigs those ''spices'' are actualy seeds maybe try to replant them so you safe some monney whit that
Another great diorama! I can't wait to try your painting tech for figures...
Great job! One detail I couldn't avoid to see, after I first noticed it, was the missing mud on the tracks.
Love the visual rhythm of the track marks along the edge and how they interact with the wood sides. Wonderful motion.
one tip on the tree: fall leaves tend to fall off unevenly. Usually, the leaves on the bottom fall off after the top ones! Unbelievable work again though!

that ending with GF complimenting your artpiece here, I had literally got eyes full of tears. So nice of her. Happy for you two!
Absolutely stunning, small but PERFECTLY formed .
29:51 These guys look so good. The contrast with painting the lighter areas lighter and the darker areas darker really looks nice.
Nice work Uncle Nightshift, the diorama looks great and the stained laminate looks better than flat black👌
Amazing work!!
I used to look at the dioramas in the Tamiya catalogue when I was a kid and was always amazed by the ones with water. You've inspired me to try for myself over 40 years later!
You aren't pretentious at all. You SHOULD be proud of this great piece!
This is a work of art. Simply beautiful!
Never apologise for being proud of your accomplishments my man. You created something awesome and you're right to be excited about it.
I really like it, Martin! All the little details, like the fallen leaves really pop. Most importantly, I'm glad to hear how much YOU like it! I used to beat myself up over every little mistake I made when I built, which I suppose is part of why I haven't built anything in over 5 years.
Likin will only grow on the north sides, moss will grow anywhere, just so you know. Great video, very inspiring.
It’s a pleasure to see how some modelers are able to reach such a awesome result! 👍➡️🥇
The stained veneer looks so much more professional in my opinion. Like framing a piece of art. Which all your work basically is. Fantastic art!
Fantastic work!
my friend you are a real artist....even i have no intention to build a tank in my life you are still my favorit modler and i have learned so much from you for my model making.thx
Very nice results Night Shift! Everything came together on this one!
You are lucky enough to have a girl friend who understands your passion. My ex wife did not and my new girl friend does! the only criticism I would say is that this tank is going through muddy terrain and the tracks are clean.

Thanks Uncle Night Shift ❤
That blue uniform is a really nice color contrast with the rest of the browns and khaki
I really like the wood-grain base. It makes the diorama a whole beautiful object, from top to bottom. A black base is (in my opinion) trying not to be noticed, whereas this one is revelling in the admiring gaze. Great work, as always, Martin!

I don't think that I have ever seen Martin so giddy and happy.😃
Fantastic! I think the stained wood looks so much better than the black painted ones. Really helps your diorama stand out
As always, it is an absolute pleasure to watch you create these amazing pieces of art... look forward to the next.
This is ABSOLUTE PERFECTION! I am just blown away with how good the terrain and the tree looks 🤙
Ive done all my naval diorama's with a stained wood base. Love that you caught on!
Superb job. Simplicity is the most difficult thing to pull off and you did it beautifully.
That Valentine is gorgeous and the base fits it very well. Excellent work, you have every right to be proud of it!
Raising the bar with every single one, amazing!

I really love that you take the extra time for the videos and enjoy the process also i really think its paying off. This is art
I must say this video was really fun to watch. It's amazing how you can share your joy and passion with your viewers. And yes, the diorama is great! All those hours playing with the mud and creating that wonderfull tree payed off! 👌🏻
Amazing job. Yes you should be proud. Every aspect looks so realistic. Thanks you for sharing your talents
I'm glad to see you really happy about this diorama! I remember how down you were about trying to get your videos out on a deadline. At least now you are able to relax more. Another brilliant diorama my friend!!
Hey, that is truly one of your best duioramas you have built. The beauty of the diorama is in the simplicity.
Getting positive feedback from the partner about our creations creates happy noises from us nerds.😊
I love both the black and the wood stain sides. I think the black gives more of a sense that the sides don't exist, while the wood stained gives an artistic version of a chunk of earth cut out.

tbh night shift i feel like the jagpanther model with the cat is always the best
You never disappoint to educate and entertain. The change of color for the side panel was perfect and looks great.

Your enthusiasm for your art is just as beautiful as the art itself. Thanks for bringing us along.
Yet another brilliant build - love it!

You constantly raise the bar Martin...excellent work.
So awesome. Love this diorama. Will be investigating the acrylic water effect.
I think the muddy water looks excellent. Well done!
Amazing job as always! This whole build has been fantastic!
Beautiful Martin, Beautiful !!! The figures on this one are absolutely stunning 👍🏽👍🏽

I'm sold on the new format and I must say I agree with you. You really did take the diorama to a new level. Take care and keep the videos coming!
Very nicely greatly well done in every detail way shape and form a very spectacular looking diorama on a job very fabulously well done indeed Sir!👍.
Stunning diorama, epic figures.
You make this look so simple, when in fact it is anything but.
Also really love how you explain everything in detail, what an excellent teacher you are.
Oh boy, it's that time of the week again!
You’ve dior-made this challenge and you’ve succeeded! Your diorama of the second world war is beautiful and I’m happy for you!
Outstanding! That tree came out AWESOME!! I love it, what a great project. The wood sides are a total WIN on this diorama.
Absolutely Amazing! I would not be surprised if the guys in the diorama start moving 😮
Amazing!!! More British armour and stunning dioramas please
chefs kiss for that tree.. I also really liked the mud and little grass overhangs under the clumps
although, I do prefer he matte black sides to the stained wood look...
We need a Tamiya T-72! It`s a old kit but very common with beginners. It would be really exciting to see what you could do with such a kit!
Awesome work Martin! You really hit a home run with the groundwork. Your figure painting is getting better all the time and a source of inspiration for me to strive for a better result with my figures. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Bob Ross would be proud of your happy little tree. Great work.
I've been following you since you started, and every time one of your videos shows up on a Friday, it brightens my day.
I watch a lot of videos of various types of pro modeling. You are very good, perhaps the best. I learn from watching. Thank you

I love a nice diorama, I can not do it. So, I will live vicariously through you.
