shure beta 56. sounds most balanced and colorful to me. just my first impression in a far from pro setup (hifi speakers just somewhere in my room... ;) )
In fact, I am unable to make a real difference between all these microphones. I've been sounding my drums with only 4 mics for years (1 BD, 1 snare, 2 OH, all Shure) and it seems complicated to me to sound the toms. I'm probably too deaf to believe that the sound of my kit is bad ! 😉😀 But I really like the fill you play 👌👍
Im a sound Eng. and this is my ensewer: having in mind the acustics ant tune of the drumm kit by his won player, the rest is up to the type of music and EQ. YOU WILL FIND THE BEST!
1:52 Wrong mic reference here, it’s actually the Sennheiser 904
as some of you already spotted
At least in this particular setting and set-up. I liked the MD421 kompakt and the audix ones.
Beyerdynamic is the most natural representation of sound. Also, I like the way Audix sounds on the floor tom for the added punch. Thank you! ❤

904 are sennheiser, not shure :)
D4 & e904
I've got external monitors attached to my computer... and I didn't hear an appreciable difference.

Oh god, the Sennheiser is atrocious!
