Can only hear this song way up high!! I remember hearing this as a kid in the 80s, I was born in 74' my sister would blare this song all the way up dressing for school and hear our dad yell turn it up ha ha ha 😂 the good ol days. I am now 50 and I still love to drive my husband's 69 cougar fast with this song all the way up to show the young ones how it's done 😂❤
You’re young if you’re rocking to this. I turn 40 in July and remember this coming on the PA in Hattiesburg at a college World Series regional or something…anyway, was in the late 90’s and I asked my Dad who it was. He grinned and said, “oh, I don’t know, son, this is some manly discussion here, now…” and he laughed and told me was the Hollies….point being, been rocking to this since I was 14 or 15, and this is STILL a killer track. Will stay on my playlist till I, too, am sharing it with someone on the cusp of manhood. It’s the right thing to do! As they say in my hometown (The GNO), “Laissez les bon temps rouler! (Let the good times roll!)”
@@ModernState I'm not even close to 40 if that's what you're saying. I pray I'm still listening as I lay dieing.
This was the first song I heard in San Diego, California, after 3 long years in Japan and South East Asia. Time in Japan was like a fantasy world, Bars, women, fun and trouble at the same time. I actually told the Navy if you leave me in Japan I will give you as many years as you want. They didn't see things my way....lol I left after getting assign to a Naval Station that was a dead end street for Officers. I resigned and went to work in the first Aero-space house that would jive me a job. I missed the flying and travel. I'm retired spending time with my family and doctors is my world... I stayed in the San Diego area after leaving the Navy. I met my wife. She was a 17 year old beautiful young lady. A little past her 18th birthday we got married. I have the Hollies music on my computer, music takes me back to a time I lived life on my own terms. Slowing down taking time to watch birds in our back yard. Coffee with the love of my life is as good as it gets. Russell Trurok Former roto-wing crazy.
I agree that the music from 70's present because a lot of these bands are still performing today. Explain that the era of music has outlasted what they weren't supposed to last. Love it
I was a golfing teenager when this movie came out. Seen it hundreds of times and recite the lines from memory. This was the soundtrack of my youth. 60 now but a teenager when I hear it.
I remember, my oldest brother going into the army and my 2nd older brother graduated about the same time. Loved that song hated the war. Happy to say I had 3 brothers that served and came home.
That's a blessing ❤. I had 3 uncles and my dad all went to war too and all came home as well. My dad is retired special forces green beret and my hero. I am the oldest daughter of 4 and I remember hearing this song for the first time and I was hooked!

You can judge the health of a society by it's culture. Anybody with any doubt that we are in terminal decline in the west need only listen to this, and just about any music from the 60's and 70's- and compare it to the instantly forgettable garbage that passes for popular music today. THIS ^^^^ IS SHEER CLASS.
