    Most people are MUCH better served with this truck rather than a typical midsize. Its is super comfy on long drives. Its capable for most lower difficulty trails and the engine and drivetrain are VERY reliable and long lasting. Very underrated light/medium duty truck.

      100,000 miles on my 2017 Ridgeline and still going strong. Lots of camping trips, I'm from AZ, it's been to Canada, Montana, Seattle, Cali, and all the states in between. Many Home Depot runs, Love this truck!! Will buy a new one when the 3rd gen comes out.

      I've owned body on frame midsize trucks my whole life, tried them all, but I just traded my Nissan Frontier for a Honda Rdigeline Black Edition and I wish I'd bought a Ridegline years ago. My commute is 2 hrs a day and this Honda is so much more comfortable and handles so much better than a traditional truck. It drives like a car but has the capability of a truck, and it has way more payload (1509 lbs) than every other midesize truck I've owned. I absolutely love this thing, except for the driver assist safety features, which all vehicles come with these days. At least you can turn that stuff off if you choose. I highly recommend the Ridgeline.

    These are looking so much better now. I think it’s just after the Frontier for best looking mid size truck. Hopefully the Dakota makes a comeback to add to this market. Full size trucks are ridiculously overpriced today.

    Perfect. A great vehicle all around. Mid sized trucks have been missing for years. Honda quality. Great AWD system great towing. I’m in. I’m tired of the big bulky trucks that never get used at all for most people. I go to neighborhoods and see these giant trucks that have not had so much as a cardboard box in the back. Lol

      Yeah, the interior space is one of the big reasons I bought mine. And it's not just legroom. Massive headroom (I'm 6'-4" and ride with the seat up a little). Massive shoulder room. And my god, with the seats folded up in the back... dam, there is so much usable space. If you are considering any other brand, please test drive a Ridgeline first...

    The lift DEFINITELY adds to a better look. I owned 2 Ridgelines. 08 and 17. I am a Honda guy. I needed the power to tow so I bought a 2020 GMC AT4 Duramax. Be HARD to ever go back to a non-fullsize truck.
    I had a 17. 95% of that truck is identical to the one I had. Honda NEEDS to update the interior BAD. SAME dash cluster as a 17.

    Put a Traxda 2" lift on my 2022 Ridgeline. It's wonderful. There are downsides. First, gas mileage. The stock height for the Ridgleline is very Aero. The life will start to impact your gas mileage over 65mph. I also went for a 1" larger diameter tire. And I get rub at full lock in reverse (but not at full lock moving forward.. weird). My ground clearance is a clean 10" below the lowest part of the vehicle. I recommend the lift...

      I am getting my lift installed next week on my 2024 Trailsport. what Tires did you go with. Stock rims? and I have heard some people complain about vibrations over 70 with a lift? I actually live in Tucson where the Traxda factory is. I was so close to getting them to install my lift for me but they wouldnt :( they almost did for document purposes. They did refer me to a local shop that will do parts and labor with alignment for 650 buck which I thought was a great deal.

    • @bikebudha01
      @bikebudha01 9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@therues7071 I had my local Honda Dealer do the lift. For about the same price. The 2" lift is fantastic. It will shave off 1-2 miles per gallon at freeway speeds. (The truck is more aero when its lower). Handling doesn't really change. I went with 17" Black Rhino "Arsenal" wheels. I went with Nokian "Outpost" tires, 1" bigger than the stock weels. (The Outpost tires are 3-peak rated tires, that are meant to be run all 4 seasons - I live where it snows). The tires add .5", the lift add 2" - I now have 10" clear under the truck. Note, the larger tires do rub at full lock (barely).

    Ben stated that he was reviewing the black edition with HPD. He was not. He was reviewing the RTL-E trim with the HPD package. You can get the Black Edition trim with the HPD package. If you get the Black Edition everything is blacked out. The Black Edition is a trim whereas the HPD is a package that you can get on several trims. The HPD package comes in black or bronze with the difference being in the wheel color. All of the plastic bits remain black. All trims keep the chrome regardless of HPD package. You have to get the Black Edition trim to get rid of the chrome on the Ridgeline.

      I noticed too, most ppl won't though. I love the usability of the truck bed, and passenger space. The interior is okay but I just don't understand why this package has chrome in it. Also, the exterior just doesn't look all that great to me. If this had a more aggressive exterior and the chrome was removed, I may have considered this over my 22 Nissan Frontier. I'd love to see the Ridgeline go through a redesign. Also, the fender flares seem so beefy to me and look odd for a midsize truck. My biggest gripe with this truck is that is very expensive when compared to the other midsize competition like the Frontier, Tacoma, and Colorado.

    • @owequitit
      @owequitit 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I blacked out my truck with $40 worth of gloss black vinyl wrap and the $120 “brow” over the grill from the Sport or Black Edition.
      Frankly, pricing is competitive feature for feature unless you are looking for a base model stripper, because even the Sport has relatively a lot of content.
      I was dead set on a Tacoma TRD OR and it and the Ridgeline were within about $1000 of each other. The Ridgeline had more space, more power, more refinement, more payload and a wider/longer bed, and more feature content. The Tacoma had better resale and more off-road capability. It also had technically higher max towing, but with its performance, I think it would struggle to pull a full 5,000lbs more than the Ridgeline does. The Ridgeline actually tows at max capacity like it isn’t at max capacity, but few people ever tow.
      For me, the difference came down to space, performance, refinement and practicality. There is no way I would have been able to fit 2 car seats and an adult in the back of the Tacoma. Also, as it turns out, I don’t off-road as much as I wish I could.

    It does look better with a lift. Honda needs to give the interior more of a truck-like look. I’d like to see a regular center console with a conventional shifter and armrest. Ditch the van-like fold down armrests.

    • @bikebudha01
      @bikebudha01 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      No, no, and no. I have had the current double armrest now for over a year on my 2022. It's super functional. Each person gets THEIR OWN armrest. Either person can access the center console WHILE the over person has their arm on their armrest. Having the 'open space' above the console, and below the armrests makes the cabin feel more spacious. And that space is super useful, for a jacket, for a bag of burgers, whatever. (They took the armrests away in the 24', so buy a 23' now..)

    • @owequitit
      @owequitit 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Because an equally equipped full size is not $55K. For the content in an RTL-E, you are looking at something in the ballpark of $70-75k in a full-size these days.
      Then you still have to deal with the size, the maneuverability, etc.
      Plus, Stockton 12 Honda isn’t giving the lift or the tires away for free and IMO, the HPD package is another couple grand in useless appearance stuff. The wheel are kind of cool though.

I guess the typical American consumer values a lift kit and fake exhaust over actual usability, performance and comfort. Also, ridgeline is one of the most American made trucks sold. So I guess most American consumers would also rather have a less reliable Chinese sourced truck? Or maybe the average American consumer is just ill informed? Or maybe American truck consumers are just stubbornly brand loyal and nothing Honda builds could change their mind?

    I have a Ridgeline and would not finance any and/or all accessories. Buy them outright.

    Finally! Finally they started taking 🙌 customers 👏 options into consideration. Actually making upgrades possible... please 🙏 change the seating 💺 space upgrade 3-4 inches each chair the engine 3.8 /4.0 roof racks, Honda needs A Special edition model XL full size truck body and bed. 2024 needs bigger factory wheels and tires 😫 , the step bar. The truck bed Width and length needs 1foot each? Trailsport logo should replace the hpd and basic black edition logo Ridgeline blackberry . Custom design should definitely be available. The same engine and same interior design is getting old where is the 3 toned leather edition . Black /White/ red Grey/red/navy blue. Dark grey/skyline blue/peanut butter. Also Honda needs to add additional features under the hood like a cold air intake with the supercharger to boost the power 60- 75 more horse 🐎 power. More rooftop space to view from front row and rear row. 275/60/ 22R tires brackets to lock items down on the truck bed folding auto mirrors, sensored auto windshield wipers plus a portable Bluetooth speaker boom box that automatically charges once its placed back near the center console.
