at 2.35 i dont think its a broken string, its cos he hits it and its vibrating so much it goes 'invicible'. That coupled with the editors muting the sound and it seems like it disappears ;)
I'm not kidding. Good tone is in the ear of the beholder. I'm not being a dick, I'm just saying that, to my ears, his tone is not what I like. I love Fenders and I play them, but I enjoyed his sound better when he used Ibanez.
i found his licks are extremely difficult to learn! you know, not like paul gilberts lick or some sort of gutiarist, once you familiarize with their songs, you start to recognize s distinct pattern in their licks.. but kotzen???hmmm...its not that easy! his licks are full of drunken pattern of legato and sometime sweep picking. extremely difficult!
love how ritchie still keeps his solos funky, and tasty even when shredding. underrated.
Beautiful!!!!!!!
Richie is freaking amazing!
Kotzen has a tone that only I could ever pray to have!
I dig his tone.
Shreddarriffic !
very dynamic and powerful style! I love the fact that he strikes almost every note...

Some day I want to play the guitar like Richie. Great!!

この人若い頃はただの早引き馬鹿だったけどやっとこの頃から味のあるプレイするようになったよねww
yeah some humbuckers would defo sound much sweeter/warmer on his playing imo
Its amazing, considering he is using set of 11 strings.

richie is a great player.
funny thing is: "kotzen" means to puke in german.

Piss-poor tone.
