stay away from purdey the brand and the items went down hill after Sherwin Williams bought them. stay with Wooster. im a painter of 25 years plus. only thing I like of purdey is the 3/8 colossal roller cover and it sheds like crazy but after 3 uses its the best..
OK I have practically beat a hole in the side of a gallon of paint can -- I'm gonna have to go in the garage and find something more sturdy before I end up with a gallon of Behr paint all over my entryway floor. Crap I must be doing something obviously wrong. Know I'm am a girl, but I should be able to figure this out.. we can make babies and birth babies we should be able to get a rare off the end of a Worcester pro 4 1/2 inch roller. Sheesh.
@@gailremp8389 lol. I had the same problem on my wooster 9 inch roller and the mini 4 1/2. At least they stay on and don’t come off on the wall! I use my roller spinner to hit the frame on since it is metal and sturdy. I just saw a 4 inch standard diameter roller and frame today and bought them. Probably a waste, since I already have the jumbo with light green grips, that will work with purdy rollers. As for purdy, I like their clearcut brush. And their woven white dove rollers. That’s about it. I also got a brush tool they make that cleans brushes as well as the big and small diameter rollers.
@@seabass22 Thank you for your response. There's so much bad stuff going on in the world. The fact that I tried to beat the crap out of the roller which is one of them. I was at Home Depot and I talked. to Bruce who is one of the guys in my store that knows what he's doing. And I said how in the hell do you get this thing off beating it on the side of a can. So we went over and we grabbed the one that I was complaining about and he beat it twice on the side of the beam at Home Depot. And that worked. So I guess I'm supposed to just go back to Home Depot and beat the crap out of it on the side of the beam. Ha ha. Oh boy.
*Thank you and Wooster for this product tutorial. Clearly informs this DIYer that Wooster innovates and Purdy imitates. Cheers!*
I’ve had the same Wooster roller tray for 10 years, it just works
Thanks for putting this together. This is a nice overview.
Disposable liners for the Wooster paint buckets can be found on Amazon or valley pro products. Cuts clean up to one minute.
