My final is tomorrow and your videos are clearing up so many concepts for me. I love your use of analogies in these videos. My professor doesn't really use analogies, but they're so helpful with understanding and visualizing certain concepts and protocols
@@Anonym69-k1q If I remember correctly, I barely passed the class with a 70 exactly 😂 But hey, that's still passing. These videos were indeed helpful but unfortunately don't make up for an entire semester of feeling lost and clueless. Just too much material to cram in one night. If I could go back tho, I would've supplemented my learning with these videos and would've been much better off in the class
For anyone interested: The interview can also be found on the TH-cam channel of USC Price, titled "An Interview with Vint Cerf" (the section in the video starts at about 6:12 of the original interview).
Thank you. this was really good. I had to watch it twice to understand it properly, but this did have everything I needed for my basic understanding of the Application Layer.
This is the internet we know! Different paradigms - Client / Server - Peer-to-Peer Process communication - IPC (by OS using kernel memory) - Using messages on deferent devices Sockets - same as doors Message identifier Needs of transport layer And last but not least we have internet security :)
What is the difference of architecture and paradigm. He said "server-client paradigm" but "peer-to-peer architecture". I've tried to google but couldn't find the answer
this man is proof that a good teacher can make anyone understand anything, amazing video, cleared up a whole lot of confusion

Great Video, I really enjoyed the part with the Architect from the Matrix.
Good lecture, and thanks a lot. Kindly create a power point slides for these lectures or all the layers. I will greatly appreciate it.

I don’t get this. What happened to the session and presentation layers?
thx professor
@user-jt9qp3gs9gif I read book(top down networking 8th) before watching it , I can

No difference really. Neither is a rigorously defined technical term.
this is amazing !!!!!!! i
this video should make it clear that there are more than the listed protocols, like NNTP. This list is not complete
