A walk around Ingoldmells looking at what´s changed, following onto a short walk around Skegness before running out of time and having to leave.
Fish and chips by the seaside, Skegness clock tower, and a nostalgic look around the shops etc.- including home made fudge, and traditional English rock.

Thanks for watching. Thought it maybe of interest to people who hadn't been for a while (including myself). Pity I didn't have more time because there were other things I wanted to check out (like the high street, shopping, little markets, parks, and if they still had a model village.. 👍

@@britslivinginspain i can remember there being a pyramid back in the late 90s we used to go raving there and then it got closed down and moved to a place called the street, seams like a long time ago now

Nice video, it's great going round old haunts and reminiscing. I spent a lot 1977, doing a summer season at Butlins in Skegness with a band called "The Judy Blue Band" We did every Sunday, Mon, Tues at Skegness, Weds day off then Thu, Fri, Sat at Butlins in Filey. We alternated with a group called "Black Lace" who went on to represent UK in Eurovision and hits with Agadoo, etc. So I have great memories of Skegness and Filey. Enjoyed your tour with your Dad. Fish and chips looked good also.....

Thanks! As a kid we did Butlins at Skegness, Filey, Clacton on Sea and Barry Island. Skegby is the only one left.. and we didn't go that often as it was expensive (for us)- the caravans were relatively cheap and there were plenty in the village that were renting them out... thanks for watching.. 👍 (I did have a load of the X rated 12inch versions of most black lace songs from when I was a DJ...)

Enjoyed this one Andy. Summer holiday memories from the 70s come flooding back. I went to the roller skating at Harrisons Arcade too 😂

We used to go to Butlins nearly every year with various other grandparents aunts and uncles and cousins. Had great times there. Even took my kids when they were young. It looks like not only the monorail is gone but the chairlifts as well.

Thanks for watching- forgot about the chairlifts!

Never been but I did something similar to Scarborough some years ago when we lived in Yorkshire before we moved back to Scotland. It does bring back memories as I forgot that my parents always took us to see George Mitchell and the Black and White Minstrels( a different time the early 60s). Watching in Punta Prima waiting for the rain to go off.

Is it a coincidence that so many attractions are similar to ones here in the states especially at our state fairs. Except the Fish and Chips. It is good to come back to reminisce though

Thanks for watching. I think a lot of the rides tend to be made in mainland Europe (I think Netherlands and Germany are big manufacturing bases)- I bet the waltzer is getting on for 100 years old... hook a duck I've not seen for years! 😎😀

Lots of memories. The Jolly Fisherman at the end, the icon of the town. Proper fish and chips (obviously Haddock, us from Grimsby won`t eat any other fish from a chippy) my last meal before moving to Spain.
